Ever since Nano's memories got all jumbled up with Xion's, she's been trying to recreate a very specific taste that she can still faintly recall: the salty-sweet taste of sea salt ice cream. Apparently it was important enough to Xion that the taste remained on the tip of Nano's tongue too, and she thought it would be nice if she could figure out how to make it here in Hinoto-Ri to share not only with Xion, but with all of her friends. So today, after some taste testing and the Xion seal of approval, she's finally ready to reveal her creation to the world - and what better venue than the Amagi Inn, considering that Nano's now a co-manager there and that half the place's staff is already composed of people intimately familiar with the taste. On Sunday morning, after she's finished getting everything ready, Nano sends a message out to the COMPs of everyone on the Visitor network:

Today there will be an ice cream social at the Amagi Inn. I'm trying out a new recipe for sea salt ice cream, and thinking of adding it to the inn's summertime menu. Everyone is free to come and try some!

Once the guests have arrived at the inn, there will be a small reception area set up in the lobby of the inn.  Nano is there, wearing a pink kimono and eagerly waiting with an ice cream scoop and bowls to serve the guests.  She also has a number of sea salt flavored popsicles in a mini freezer that she borrowed from the Ichiban Market for the occasion, and to help keep the ice cream nice and cold while she waits for the guests to show up to try some.  Otherwise, it's just a nice little social event where everyone can get a cool treat and relax a little while they mingle with the other Visitors looking to beat the summer heat.

One of the few foods that Labrys can 'eat' is definitely a treat. She's watched many people eating pop topsicles and ice cream cones as the summer weeks have passed by, and with good reason: it cools you off. It does the same for Labrys too...just without the taste.

Going to the Amagi Inn is also an excuse to visit a friend.

"Nano-chan, you look great in that kimono!"

[Nano smiles brightly as she sees Labrys, waving excitedly.]

Thank you, Labrys! Did you come to try the ice cream?

Well perhaps not the delicious tofu topcicle, Kanji most certainly was happy to indulge after doing a major cleanup in some of the inn rooms. He had no idea how Senpai managed to do everything, it was constantly changing each day...

But yeah! Free food, he could certainly take some. He gave her a small smile.

"Hey! You look pretty good in that outfit!"

It was a compliment, Kanji style.

He'd had sea-salt caramel gelato before, but never 'sea salt ice-cream,' it was worth inspecting. Even if he knew his body was going to reject the salt later on.

The first bite tingled his tongue but he was able to taste the flavor after that. It was surprisingly good!

"You made this yourself? Impressive. It's pretty good."

[There's a very strange sight in the Amagi inn today. A little boy walks in, sits on a table... then transforms into a puffball. He hops up and down enthusiastically on the table, excited for a taste.]

Puu, puu! Can I have some tasty ice cream? Please? Puuleeeeeeeease?

[Apollo decided to stop by upon getting the message. A little break from paperwork wouldn't hurt. He waves to Nano and approaches.]

Hey, Nano. Can I try some of the ice cream?

[Yay, meeting people! why did they have to leave she still needs him... or her... whatever.

Yes, it took her a while to get here. Having viruses really tired her out. She's still not sure her arm needs to recover.

Oh, there's no line. She'll just walk up and say hello.]

[A blonde boy has cautiously meandered his way into the Amagi Inn. It doesn't seem like he's aware of the event going on, but -- boy, is it hot, and boy does the stuff in that freezer look good. He smiles sheepishly as he approaches Nano.]

Sorry. But, um. Are you... Are you giving this out to everyone?

When Everything Is Over - For Nano

[It is not, of course, anywhere remotely close to being reasonable for Atsuro to try and have his serious talk with Nano in the middle of an event like this. Neither is he keen on making awkward small talk with her for a few hours. And so he waits until the last guest has trickled out and until most of the lights in the inn have gone dark...

He knocks at the door before entering, pulling it shut behind him as he glances around for Nano.]

...Hey, Nano!

I'm late, right? Sorry I couldn't make it. ...Do you need any help cleaning up?

[Nano appreciates Atsuro's discretion, even if she'd been sort of idly hoping he'd show up for most of the night. Not that she even really knows what to say to him at this point.]

O-oh... Atsuro-san!

[Yeah. How does she even act right now? Is she supposed to act normal, like nothing ever happened? Should she bring it up? Should she wait for him to bring it up?

In the end, she decides to do her best to play things naturally.]
