It begins. A strange aura spreads out over Hinoto-Ri, stealing into the hearts, minds, and mouths of every denizen of the city, changing them - embiggening their souls with the power of TRUTHINESS.

For one week, Hinoto-Ri becomes a city where no lies can exist. Who is responsible for this? Will their dedication to ABSOLUTE TRUTHINESS bring them victory...or defeat?

Leo, 13th Hour

Kotoha recently got a new Persona from the Velvet Room shortly after the whole kidnapping debacle - apparently something had happened that opened up a new vista of power for her. She's set aside a night to familiarize herself with the new power, which is why she's currently fighting a large group of strange mummy-like creatures.

Although she doesn't look worried, she is also ridiculously outnumbered - there's at least a dozen of the things around her, and from the sound of it there's more on the way.

Right Action!

[With only that as a warning cry, there is suddenly a rain of medium Almighty damage upon the zombies. Not far behind, Aoi comes jogging up, a naginata in hand.]

Are you alright-?

Kotoha grins.

"Ah, sure am! I'd been letting them hit me to test things out, and it seems my new Persona really does keep me from taking physical damage."

Several more of the creatures stagger into view as she says this. Kotoha regards them, braces herself, and summons her new Persona.

"Deathbound!"

[...Oh.

Well then.]

That's... a very impressive Persona.

"Thanks! It's called Friendship Train, actually. So! I'm Kotoha, nice to meet you!"

[She seems to recover from the initial surprise at least.]

My name is Aoi Misato. It's nice to meet you, Kotoha. I'm sorry I interrupted your fight - I didn't realize you had it all under control.

"Oh no, that's fine, I at least partially set it up to look that way so I could meet someone willing to help a complete stranger."

Slight pause.

"...I'm still not used to this whole compulsive truth-telling thing."

Eh...

Y-you did?

[But... who even does that...?]

Kotoha glances away as she replies.

"I'm starting to feel really homesick, and I was sort of hoping that meeting a kind stranger would distract me."

At this, she looks back at Aoi with a chagrined expression.

"I, um...I don't always think things through before doing them, you see."

…I see. Well, if it’s company you need, I don’t mind. I’ve been missing my friends from home as well ever since I came here, but I just can’t bring myself to abandon this city either.

[…Oops. That ended up being much more than she had wanted to say. But she hopes that it does some good for the other girl to hear, too.]

Kotoha smiles as the tension drains out of her frame.

"I wouldn't have blamed you for getting angry, but I'm really happy you understand. So! Topic change: what's your world like?"

It's a little difficult to explain... Up until now I thought everything was normal, and that powers and that sort of thing didn't exist. But recently, demons have been appearing around the city and killing people, and my friends and I have been fighting them off with the powers we gained during an encounter with one.

[...And once again, that came out in far more detail than expected.]

This... is a little hard to get used to, isn't it?

Kotoha nods.

"Yeah. So, um...killing people, huh. I'm not entirely certain how to react to that, frankly - I'm still slightly traumatized from the time a madman tried to murder me."

Waaaaay too much detail, yes. Kotoha turns toward where the mummy zombies were and picks up a semi-circular piece of metal.

"Changing the topic, those things dropped a bunch of these medals, huh. They look nice, I wonder if they could be made into charm bracelets or something?"

Is it... really alright to use them like that? Considering where they came from...

Kotoha pauses to think about that.

"Now that you bring it up, I'm not sure...maybe I'll just show these to Avitus and ask what he thinks?"

Slight pause.

"Oh, uh, Avitus is this artist I know, I work part-time at his store selling these neat lamps and stuff he makes."

[She perks up when she hears that name.]

You're a friend of Avitus too? He actually lives with me right now... I hope business is going well for the both of you.

"Oh, that's good to know!"

Kotoha quickly scoops up the rest of the medals and stuffs them in her bag for later.

"They sell well enough that I can afford food, clothing, and luxuries, which is...pretty good, frankly! It's kind of neat having a sales job."

[Meanwhile Aoi seems to be content leaving them be. It just seems somewhat... distasteful to her.]

That's great to hear! I'm so busy, I don't have a whole lot of time to ask him myself I'm afraid. And I'm glad to know that he's making friends, too!
