Where: Aries Stadium and Beyond
Summary: The Aries Monster Strikes unexpectedly.
When: 19th of April, 11AC, 13th hour.
Warnings: Fear, Horror, Dead bodies, Body Damage, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

There had been no warning. No special feeling.

Just strange things that set themselves up on all parts of the city. But for five Visitors, the situation is far different than the rising panic that is slowly building in the city. Without warning, they are whisked into a destination, as the lights of the stadium shine brightly in their eyes. There is little time to think about the irony that, once again, the stadium is at the center of the issue. How did they get here?

Before they can think or even see who their compatriots are, the lights move of their own accord, shining on a gigantic figure standing nearly twenty feet tall. There are four golden ram heads with a single body.

"LAAAAADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEN!!!"

It can speak? As it does, the happiest of the monster's head takes forefront.

"Weeeelcome to the greatest show on earth! The one, the only...me! Have you attended my media circus yet, or were you just sleeping? Regardless, congratulations! By a purely stroke of luck, you are the Outsiders that I have picked to fight me! You're all quite a challenge so to make sure I was up to the task, I've already practiced with citizens..."

It's face moves and changes to that one that looks terrified, the sound of grinding gears and metal turning.

"How they screamed and cried for mercy! Too bad for them!"

There's a pile of people to where it points with its cane. It's not...pretty to watch. There's more than a dozen people in there, no doubt...

"Are you ready for the main attraction, Outsiders? I'll start with only you five to face me in my full splendor!" The creature bows at the visitors, snickering to itself. As they watch, the head switches to the ram's head that looks angry.

"Now then! Formalities aside, this is a life or death situation! Death for you, of course. Fooooooor in this battle there is," Aries holds up its hands and goes back to the happier face. "NO rules, NO setup, NO stage level!" Confetti falls from the stadium's celebration piles. "Now then, Outsiders, let's see if you'll be able to save your beloved city, shall we?!"

"Cue the music!"

The monster's ego was clearly huge. Well there was no chance to say hi to each other, time to quickly prepare and get ready!

Ruri looks around, more taking in the situation, but still remaining fairly emotionless.

"If you had warned us before hand I could have put on something more appropriate than my service clothes. I'm not sure beloved is the best way of describing the city either. It is where we are staying."

HOLY CRAP WHAT.

If Seb had not awoken his Persona before, it would have burst forth right now from the sheer panic rising in him. He wanted to protest, say he was not a part of this, but that monster clearly would not listen to reason, even less from a guy in PJs.

So much for not fighting!

"Putain de merde!!! He's gonna kill us!!!"

Sasha had fallen asleep in her normal clothes today for some reason, mostly just a sudden feeling that she was very, very tired and could just wash her clothes tomorrow. Traveling around and interviewing citizens was hard work after all (read: she was farting around).

Understandably, she was a bit hazy-headed when she appeared before the monster, staring at the ram-headed beast with hazy eyes. Her initial reaction would have just been "Buh...?" but then he pointed to the bodies, at which point her reaction shifted to a much louder one:

"What, WHAT?!"

This wouldn't mark the first time (or undoubtedly the last) that Shinjiro's been spirited away somewhere without the briefest hint of warning. Wasn't the arrival of a Zodiac usually announced with more fanfare than this? The blinding lights and the sudden shock was disorienting of being very abruptly somewhere else was disorienting. He had been at home—or what passed for it as well as any here—before he had bee pulled to the stadium, for once without his trademark beanie and coat.

Not like he had gotten a damn invitation to dress up pretty and shit.

And though he's initially confused, all it takes is seeing the creature in front of him and the pile of bodies to send his mind's neurons into over drive, muscles stiffening as he prepares for a fight. Tch.

"He's not gonna kill us. Just be on your guard. Watch him, not the damn bodies."

"Actually. Keeping an eye on the monster is a good idea, but I want to see if I can do something about the distractions."

She sighs and lightning starts to dance across her eyes, "Omoikane, can you deal with the noise here?"

She reaches into her jacket and throws out a few small things, which start hissing as white noise generators to start counteracting the music while those pulled in wake themselves up.

Seb did what he figured was best, since he saw no exit: he hid behind the tall guy who wasn't panicking. Why didn't this monster draw in heroes like that guy to fight him instead of someone like Sébastien? The city was full of them! What bad luck he had.

Sasha was slowly coming to and taking stock of what was happening. The tall guy seemed to be in control of the situation; she made a mental note to ask him about his prior combat experience later. Someone was hiding behind the tall man; this was understandable, and Sasha briefly entertained the idea of hiding behind him in turn and creating a Russian nesting doll of hiders. Lastly, the purple-haired girl... Sasha's memory was a touch fuzzy right now, but she was pretty sure that she'd at least seen her around on the network... wait a second. She'd been there on the Pokemon world trip! Ruri was her name. There.

She'd be lying if she said she wasn't bummed about the music change. The music sounded pretty cool to her. But that was, of course, beside the point. She needed to stay on her guard, just like the tall man said. She crept just a bit closer to Shinjiro (not so much so as to directly hide behind him and Sebastien) and flicked out a quick lick of flame.

"Okay. I think I'm ready for whatever's next."

Having those few moments to get his bearings were as good as any. Not that they had time for much else. Though his gaze remains mostly fixed on the monster standing tall and monolith-like in front of them, his eyes do occasionally drift two the two drifting closer (or in one case) immediately behind him. Adrenaline is already running through his system, but to his credit, his face remains impassive and he says nothing. He does, however, briefly call Castor out to charge his strength while he has an opportunity. He doesn't have any of his usual weapons (unless any of them were teleported somewhere around the stadium to find, though he honestly doesn't know what good it'd do anyway). But he hopes there's someone here that can heal competently.

Do those two even know how to fight? He knows Hoshino. Not personally, but she had been close to Minako whileshe had been here. She was a Support Persona user, wasn't she? Seemed to be calm and analytic enough. They'd have to attack it sooner or later, but it'd be better for them to have a picture of what they were up against.

"You're a Support User aren't you?" he says, gruff voice rising above the quieting furor due to whatever the white noise machines (or whatever the hell they are) are doing. At times like this, he missed Fuuka. "Can you tell us anything about what we're up against? If we're gonna fight, I'd rather not start fighting him blind."

When the music is changed the monster switched from happy to its angry face.

"NO! I will not tolerate a change in my plan! It's mine! MINE!!!My precious, mine mine mine mine..."

A giant foot came crashing down near them, as the hoof contacted the small machines, in an attempt to drown them out and return it to the music. It was in such a rage it was ignoring everything else, and for that price, and electrical shock burst traveled along its body, sending it into a sudden shock.

"N---." It didn't have time to finish as whatever allowed it to speak shut off, and the face was replaced to the fearful one.

She shakes her head, "Yurika-san, please find out what its weak against?"

Sébastien - Persona Skill: Aqua

Sébastien was shaking behind Shinjiro. Strangely, he understood a bit what the lavender-haired girl had reported. Odile, however, told him she did did not have a skill like that. That didn't help his thumping heart at all. Not knowing what to do, where to hide or how to get out of this, he grabbed his head with both hands and let out a cry of pain as Odile came forth to defend him in the one way she knew: casting her one Water attack at the monster while it was shocked.

Sasha - Persona Switch: Kohryu, Persona Skill: Mind Charge

Okay, so they'd gotten some data on this enemy, and apparently it was weak to... light? No deal. Sasha was almost wishing she'd kept Gabriel as her Velvet Room persona, but how could she pass up the big badass lightning dragon?

That aside, Sasha considered her skills carefully. Phaeton was kind of weak. It wouldn't be able to cut through something that had "very high" HP. Sure, it was a good substitute for her natural magic (which was weakened by the world's energy balance), but if she had a more powerful option, why not use it? She raised her hand up, called the Velvet Room card down, and crushed it. The massive dragon appeared and roared, drawing energy into itself. This would make the next attack significantly more powerful and hopefully make the battle be done with that much quicker.

Ruri - Nadesico Alpha Strike

The monster was down, the rocket tubes were reloading and there was enough power for a few more shots from the gravity blast cannon. Figuring the party had control over the monster and how it seemed afraid of the barrier cracking she nodded and swept her hand in a grand motion towards the monster.

"Omoikane. Target the cracked part of the barrier and keep firing!"

Sasha - Pen Toss

Oops. Sasha should really have figured that the pen would explode. What else did fancy gadgets like that do these days, anyway? Thank goodness Q stopped her before she blew herself up. She gave it two more clicks and, as though she were throwing a dart, flung it at the monster. Hopefully it'd do some damage (and hopefully more than her standard flame shots).

Ruri - Nadesico/Incindiary Rockets (Fire/Physical)

It hadn't changed heads, it was still weak against fire if the analysis was correct. There were still more barrages left and the barrier was down.

"Omoikane, target the monster. Tight pattern, we're down here too. Single shot, not burst."

Lightning dances across her eyes as the tubes belch forth another salvo of rockets.

Sébastien - Dark Humour (Med. Phys with 30% chance of Happy)

Sébastien woke quietly, covered in sweat as he carefully tested his movements, the sat, then finally got back on his feet. His broken legs, his expelling from the Opera, his years rotting as an underpaid retail monkey walking with a cane on good days, the excruciating pain whenever he tried to dance... god, he felt nauseous just thinking about it again. And as much as he wanted to run away to never have to be affected by that monster's illusions again... well, there was no way he could. So he might as well stop shitting his pants and try to not be a nuisance anymore.

"Anyone needs help?" he asked, placing himself behind the now armed Shinjiro before summoning his Persona for a touch of Dark Humour to the monster while it was down.

Shinjiro | Persona Skill: Evil Smile (Mind)

Now that was strange—he looks back to see Sébastian on his feet again, and not screaming. He remembers Krios mentioning something about broken legs. Had that just been an illusion, or some other ability that Krios was in possession of? Had them toppling it disrupted its abilities?

"Just try to keep the damn thing down."

Mouth thinning, as there's very little time to afford focusing on something other than Krios—he'd be damned if he didn't hit hard—he follows the familiar summoning routine, and sends Castor shrieking out again. If he can get him to stay down, all the better.

BARRIER BREAK | Mind (Self)

The second attack completely obliterated the parking lot, as well as the nearby trees. However what was left of the barrier was shattered completely.

"Well done!"

Was that...was that praise from Q? Maybe hell had frozen over. Before the attacks could hit the monster, the head switched over to Anger, ans the status effects hit an invisible wall...but nothing could stop the pen from exploding. Well, now there was a hole along with those broken seats.

"No! no no no I refuse!" As it looked down at them, it looked up to see the barrier was gone. "Ha! Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Well isn't that something...I think this is the part where I bid you adieu then!"

Without waiting any further the beast jumped right out of the stadium and as an earthquake indicated it had landed...began to make a run.

PLAYER TURN

No time to think at what had just happened, as the helicopter carrying Q and the cameramen lowered itself enough so it was barely a few inches from the ground. The wind tore at their faces and the noise was deafening.

"Grab on to bars and hold on! We have to follow it! We can't let it get away!" There was no time to board Omoikane, from the speed the monster was rushing.

Hopefully everyone had enough body strength to pull this off...because there was barely a few seconds given to them to grab before it left again.

"Let's go! We need to figure out what its doing!"

Ruri - Nadesico maneuver (Distortion Field)

Ruri ran to the helicopter and pulled herself up to sit on the blade (What? Did you honestly think she'd be dumb enough to hang from it like some 80's action movie character?) and sighed.

"Was the barrier yours or the monster's?"

Her eyes flickered as she ordered the Nadesico to get over the mosnter and squish it between the ground and the ship's Distortion field.

Sébastien - Calming Wave

Sébastien hurrired to da choppah the helicopter, hunched over and protecting his face with his arm. As soon as everyone was safely hanging onto/inside the helicopter, he summoned his Persona, resulting in even more cramped space, and cast a Calming Wave spell to allow the others (and himself) a good chunk of magic for the second battle against that monster.

"Since when do monsters bent on killing people run away anyway?" Not that he was actually complaining... wait, why was he in the chopper in the first place???

"We have to WHAT?!" Sasha had never hung from a helicopter before, and while she wasn't afraid of heights per se, the idea of hanging from such a precarious position was... scary. But it wasn't like she had a choice; they had a rampaging monster to pursue. She grabbed onto the bottom of the helicopter and struggled to pull herself up. She very nearly didn't make it, but she managed to sit herself near where Ruri was just in time.

He hadn't expected the Ringleader to run. His expression darkens considerably as the helicopter approaches. Maybe they shouldn't've destroyed the damn barrier, but if Q was correct, and the barrier had been the creature's doing, couldn't it have canceled it out himself?

Frown deepening, he's just a second behind everyone else as he turns and pulls himself onto the helicopter.

MUSIC CHANGE

"Right! Let's go!" With the new cargo in tow, the helicopter picks up speed, following the running monster.

"Where is it going," one of the cameraman asks, still filming. Q seems to be intensely concentrated on the entire thing, when he presses his ear and the call pops up so that they can hear it.

"Q!" The voice of the chief officer Suou is speaking in worry. "The hell is happening over there?!"

"A bit of technical issues, for one..." He presses a few more buttons to keep the entire thing not from crashing with everyone in it. Be thankful.

"That monster's heading for town hall!" Q clicks his mouth in annoyance.

"But why is the question..."

"The entire hall is being evacuated, but we need that thing gone before it gets too much into the city!" There's enough destruction as it is.

"Right! Alright, you heard the gentleman, let's stop that horrid thing before it does more collateral damage..."

>Characters must attempt to finish the monster before it arrives to town hall!
Characters now have the following options available to them:
> Use Gun (Medium damage)
> Throw item (Anything from Small to Large damage)
> Shoot canon (Large damage but only one character can use this per turn)
> Fall on monster and use normal Persona attacks (Due to the monster's size, it will hard for them to retaliate and may disorient them away from their target).

5 full turns remaining before impact.
