A year might seem so little at first, but for a city like Hinoto-Ri, progress had been steady. And how would it have been without you? Hard to say. Regardless, there were some appreciative people of your hard work, and thus you were warned ahead of time of a little celebration that would be held in your honor, this Friday (FRIDAY! FRIDAY!)

Nothing too outrageous, you had been promised. After all, budgets had to be made and citizens had to be saved. Something more akin to a fun party with friends and the city. An open note sent out to all citizens if they so wanted to join in.

There was quite a turnout! The lure of fun and food drew people from all the wards and words of encouragement and thanks were given to you freely. Maybe because some of them had drank too much sake.

The booths are bustling with activity. There's food for everyone as merchants try to outdo each other with both traditional food and more exotic ones; Corn on the cob, Pumpkins, Yaki Imo (Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes), Ramen stands, Falafel, caramelized apples, octopus sausages on sticks...

There are also signup sheets for competitions tonight. While townspeople can join, the big draw is to see the Visitors attempt the typical school festivals, such as the swimsuit competition and the dress competition (for both male and women!).

...yeah maybe they just have a good sense of humor. Which is good! A happy city means, at least, for a little while, people can forget what's happening and maybe the place is going to flourish more with hope.

So hopefully you can show them that by enjoying yourselves!

[He recoils for only a split-second, and it's barely noticeable to anyone who might be watching. Holy shit man do you have a habit of rolling around in fish carcasses or--

Perhaps surprisingly, Hizumi returns it with a tight hug of his own, patting him on the back and everything and doing his best to breathe somewhat shallowly.]

[AKA nice try but no cigar.]

[Wow, okay, he's going to feel a bit nauseous from this despite the fact that he has no internal organs to be nauseous with. But no backing away now. He nods, taking in a breath.]

[Now please to be letting go okay.]

[He lets go only somewhat, an arm still over Sam's shoulder forcing them to be extra close.

Because he's already going to smell like fish corpses for a while so it's not like a little more is gonna hurt.]

C'mon, let's get you outta here before someone writes a tabloid.

[This is accompanied by unnecessarily hard back pats.]

[What he would give for a knife in his hand right now to stab Hizumi in the back I MEAN REALLY.]

[He sniffs and coughs a bit, before nodding. LET GO UGH.]

It takes a while before Hizumi finally lets go. It's so out of the way, there's definitely not a single person who would have followed them this far.]

[THIS IS NEWS actually not really, but he looks surprised all the same. He even bends his head down to sniff his shirt.]

I-I guess I haven't taken a shower in a while?I mean, it doesn't smell that bad to me...

I'm pretty sure if I grabbed a random person off the street or fifty, every single one would agree with me.

[He looks ashamed.]

Ugh, great...I guess that means I need to take a bath. I'm sorry.
