The Mayoress keeps her word, and the Visitors are whisked away and changed into more suitable clothing for this world, free of charge. As they step down from the portal -- a stark contrast to the last time it was used, a giant man standing easily over eight feet tall and resembling a mammoth takes out a piece of string and measures everyone for their complimentary hat, vest, goggles and boots, as a small team works nearby to adjust the sizes of the materials they already have. It's rather interesting to see them at work, cutting with iron scissors - a spiderlady using her own silken string along with a robot aide to patch things up. Before long, you are given an outfit that's been tailor-fit for you.

Hopefully you aren't too arachnophobic, she's a nice old lady.

Once that's all done, the Mayoress speaks up.

"Come with us, please!"

Robotic horses and chariots draw them into the middle of the town, as a small map is given to everyone, but it's overly simple at best.

As they arrive in the town square, a look around reveals that the people here seem to be a mixture of humans, humanoid animals that have evolved, and robots. The feeling is very Old West, but with it all kept at a simple level despite the advance technology present. Compared to Hinoto-Ri and its lights, bright city and atmosphere, Geartopia feels like it falls on the opposite end of the spectrum. There's barely anything that would make you think of a modern city.

Which is why those that don't look like they belong stand out even more than you do.

Confused people from various worlds, not meant to have landed here... but currently with no way to go home, are stuck in Geartopia, violently torn from whatever they had been doing.

"We ain't sure what happened," she tells the Visitors, shaking her head. "But the past three days have been nothin' more than a giant mess! And they keep pilin' up. We need you to help us figure out what's happenin’!"

As they continue towards the town's center, she gives a bit more explanation: Once, long ago, Geartopia was built by aliens visiting the planet that granted intelligence to some native species. That includes her kind! The giant black obsidian monoliths humming precariously outside of town are an example of that. Normally the rocks only work when they need to contact other worlds. Three days ago, they started to glow, and that's when others began to appear here. People that had not been planned for. And they were still coming in, too...

The technology the elder aliens left them allows them to contact other planets during times of distress, but otherwise, there is nothing futuristic going on - the aliens wanted it this way and for the most part, the population respects this. Most of the area is dry and arid, with very tiny grass and shrubs growing over the hill, and, strangely enough, an area from town that is densely populated by forest.

They'll need your strange and powerful manpower in the upcoming days… just like twenty years ago, when the previous mayoress had called upon great heroes for aid.

[OOC Info about Geartopia:

- Saloon and bars of all sizes. Most are comically named with an object and a color. You can find all sorts of them across town. The shadier ones can be found at the far end of the west.

- There are hotels with gear-driven pianos playing wistful tunes as you drink hard liquor made from cactus juice, honey and barley. The honey wine is especially prized and costly.

- There is also a small carnival with a steampunk and old west fair, sugar and cactus fruit pies, whole animals roasted over open pits, musicians, and a single wooden coaster. It's not much, but the food is excellent.

- Be careful, however. The cactus fruit does cause stomach aches for most people not native to this world.

- There are farms around here, if you feel like having real food and doing honest work.

- The general store has steampunk items for sale, but most of them are much too expensive for the visitors at this point. You can try to barter.

- Oh, and news travels fast. Cause problems, and the rumors will travel to the mayoress fast enough.

- Start posts with Open or Closed depending on what you want to do!

[ Popping from one hellhole to another was annoying. Especially since she had absolutely no idea where she is or who was the one responsible for it. So if you're out and about, people will hear a young redhead screaming at the top of her lungs, looking pretty angry. ]

[Really, all that needed to be said was "help needed" for Aoi to go running through that portal, naginata in hand. If people need aid, she will do whatever she can to provide it - even if they look quite different from the people she usually interacts with.

Still, this may have been somewhat brash... She's wandering around the town now, still dressed in the cowboy outfit provided even if the hat is now hanging in the back from around her neck and the goggles are doing much the same in the front. The pants are taking some getting used to since she usually goes for skirts, but she won't complain about it.

At the moment she's focused on helping out anyone who seems to need it. She's the helper lady. Let her help you.]

[As it was slightly doubtful that anyone will give him a positive response, the boy will eventually wander off into the town. He can be found afterwards wandering in stores or being chased out from a saloon.]

[Rin's casually leaning against one of the saloon's structural support posts because the mun knows no other name for them, just within the awning. Arms crossed, she watches the town's goings-on with idle curiosity. No western-style attire for this one, and neither does she particularly bothered about being stuck here.]

This place is a little less culture-shocky for Erk than Hinoto-Ri, but only in the same way a torch is less hot than a bonfire. Especially when the robot horses turn up. Currently he's standing near the edge of town, looking out in the direction of the monoliths. He's ended up with a dark red duster in place of his mantle and tinted goggles, which are making it harder to read the map he's staring down at.

Finally, with an air of deliberation, he says to himself, "If they know the caves are haunted, they're probably not the issue. I wish I knew how these things worked..."

Agatha hadn't intended to eavesdrop exactly, but she'd noticed him there and was heading over to say hello when he suddenly spoke.

"You think so? I'm not too sure."

She moves to stand next to him, looking out in the same direction.

"Right now we're looking for the cause of some mysterious phenomena. When the locals believe something is 'haunted' they usually don't examine it too closely."

There's a skinny man with an enormous blue sitar who's taken up residence on the steps of one of the saloons. Thankfully his hat is hiding that ridiculous hairstyle of his, but he's still got a Hawaiian shirt on under his vest. He's playing the instrument and singing; for the people outside, at least, he's drowning out the piano playing inside the saloon.

Nocturne has no earthly idea how he ended up in the Wild West with aliens and robots. Especially not since he was in the middle of Interspace (i.e. nowhere in particular) up until now. Still, it's an improvement from the last time he got transported to another world without any say in the matter, so he'll just sit here enjoying himself for the moment. Asking too many questions can make people twitchy, and he'll wait for a bit before seriously ticking off anyone.

[A nervous young man putters about Geartopia looking utterly lost. His clothes almost seem to fit the era of the surroundings, in a 1900s era suit (however lacking in steampunk adornments). He tightly clutches an old leather doctor's bag in a hand as he wanders around looking like a deer in the headlights.

You might find him in the general store, marveling at the steampunk merchandise, trying to figure out what some of it does. He'll curiously poke at things he find.

He'll also be at the carnival, forlornly staring at the food. He's getting hungry, but he doubts they'll take his home currency here.]

Meetra stood near the edge of town, observing the obsidian pillars and sipping a barley drink she'd taken for the road. The climate and delightful mishmash of technology and species here were familiar - almost nostalgic, not to mention a literal breath of fresh air after Hinoto-Ri - but she was more than a little suspicious of the rocks.

"I wonder what he's up to this time?" she asked the air. It's not talking to yourself if you're a Jedi, right?

Miyako recognised Meetra from Hinoto-Ri, as a fellow Visitor and among those brought into this city to aid it. She originally plan on walking, but overheard Meetra's words. Pausing, she approached her and briefly glance over at the pillars.

[Time and world hopping? That's just a regular Tuesday from someone from Exsilium. The problem with such a large population currently displaced to a base on the moon meant finding supplies and food. She could only look around at first of place. Not exactly what she had in mind for a potential place for a supply run.]

Just what the hell does the Initiative think we can use from this world?

[She didn't say that to no one in particular, mostly to just think out loud. Quietly, she lowered the brim of her hat to shade her eyes some more. Maybe some walking around could bring up some leads.]

This is obviously not gearing up, so to speak, to be Axel's day.

Ah, well. When it comes down to it: he might as well make the best of a bad situation. As such, he's defaulted to treating this like yet another recon mission for the Organization. Find out what he can, as quickly as he can, about this whole mess... so he's strolling the streets, listening in on peoples' conversations. And just perhaps, he'll be found lounging in a saloon - after all, where better to gather information than from loosened tongues?

Oh, hey. Even in a place with this many aliens, robots, anthropomorphic animals, and the confusion of people who obviously aren't, locals, it's hard to miss Axel's hair. Granted, Nocturne is always still a little surprised when he runs into some version of Axel, but still.

For his part, Axel will probably see Demyx, in a Hawaiian shirt and making no attempt at all to blend in, wander over and lean on the table.

Well, this is new. Considering he doesn't know where he is or what he's up against, it's time to blend in as quickly as possible. Jeans and a t-shirt don't fit in with this theme, so maybe a bit of fur will. Finding a nice, out of the way spot to shape change.

The coyote is making its way around town, looking from building to building and doing some people watching. It doesn't seem afraid of people and is making its way like everything is normal. Perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about. Unless you fear small wolves or like ugly dog like animals.

Aaron has found a suitable outfit for the occasion. Meanwhile, one of the locals is wondering how they lost articles of clothing in such a small hotel room. The 18 year old is now walking around in his human form.

He's wearing trousers, chaps, a button up tunic and a cowboy hat. His belt has a holster holding a large knife with a leather wrapped handle instead of a gun. His boots don't have spurs, and he's sort of disappointed by that. There are also frays and markings where he cut out and removed gears or steampunk accessories from the outfit.

Aaron grins and waves to people as he walks down the streets and checks out the different saloons. This all seems pretty hilarious to him.

[Ayumu had already figured out that as far fetched as everything here was (Some of the towns inhabitants especially...), there was too much going on for it to be some gigantic ruse. It was a pretty tall order to walk out of the hospital and end up here, after all.

So that only left taking their explanation at face value until he figured out more. He wished the busy streets were a bit more easy to navigate injured and on the crutch he was still reliant on, but at least he still had it.

The 16 year old will be wandering around crowded areas in spite of the difficulty, and spends a good deal of his time observing the comings and goings of everyone around. He's even making a point of casual conversation... and asking questions, of locals and people who don't look so local alike.]

He certainly didn't volunteer himself when the option to visit another world came up. After all, it was with the idea that the Visitors would help, and Hizumi really isn't the person to ask for when it comes to all of that "saving" business. But despite his attempt to stay out of it, he still found himself waking up in an unfamiliar world, greeted by the dusty roads of Geartopia.

They just won't let him catch a break, now will they?

Nevertheless, he can be found wandering the place with an easy smile as always, checking out the various businesses and chatting up the locals. If he spots anyone who looks out of place, he'll even stick up a hand in greeting.]

There's dust everywhere, her phone isn't working, she can't seem to keep the wind from messing with her uniform skirt and worst of all, something is interfering with Cassandra's ability to locate her teammates. She needs to find one of her teammates- or even better, Akihiko or Shinjiro- even her illustrious 'neesama' would be wonderful at the moment. But there's been no sign of any of them that she can see or sense just yet- in the back of her mind Cassandra's unusually persistent ramblings are beginning to give her a headache, and she's not sure how much longer her patience will last.]
