Who: Agatha Heterodyne and OPEN
Where: Anywhere from the Pisces apartments to Castle Heterodyne in the Sagittarius district.
What: Now that her castle is in town, Agatha is moving out of the apartments.
Warnings: Snarky castle.

[While Agatha was away in Geartopia there was a new addition to the Sagittarius district. Castle Heterodyne. It's a bit of a handful, so the government simply blocked it off with caution tape until it's owner returned. Now that she's back, it's time to move back into her house.

Agatha hasn't been here long enough to amass a whole lot of stuff to move, so she's trying to get everything in one trip. So she can be found heading across the city, several boxes stacked up in her arms. Careful, they're blocking her view so she may run into someone. Possibly you. She is being followed by a dozen tiny dingbots, all carrying smaller boxes.

Bother her while she's packing? Run into her while she's moving? Offer to help carry stuff? Or maybe you're just curious who owns that horrible foreboding castle. Your choice.]

[She grins.]

Well, I have thrown an over-sized switch and called for more lightning on occasion. So I guess that counts.

"I will admit to a few times wishing I could do something like that, sadly it would have only unnerved my friends."

She shakes her head a bit.

You should try it. It's surprisingly cathartic.

"I don't know, I was told that when I took over the Ceres assault force my disinterested tone and bored eyes appearing on every screen caused the other side to drop into despair. Still, I wonder if a mad laugh would have unnerved them even more."

Hmm, I guess disinterest could be a viable tactic for demoralizing your enemies, but....

[She shrugs.]

A good mad laugh works just as well. Plus it's a lot more fun.

"One of these days I may need to learn to do it properly then."

[Grin]

I'd offer pointers, but I'm pretty new to it myself. It's definitely worth doing at least once though.

"Everyone else on the ship did it most of the time. Either that or insane justice speeches. I just wanted to find my own thing."

[She laughs.]

Haha, well, I'll admit that the whole mad cackle amid the lightning thing isn't exactly original.

Sparks all over the world have been perfecting the technique for centuries.

"Maybe I'll keep looking for my own thing then."

She looks back at the castle.

"I'm guessing you have a engineering workshop in there?"

Several, actually. Labs and workshops easily make up half the rooms in there.

"Perhaps some time we can do a joint project then. Omoikane and I are set up for large scale but small is a bit beyond our tools right now."

Sounds fun. Did you have anything specific in mind?

"You seem to have a fair amount of mechanical help, and I've been working on a miniaturization project involving the mecha that are usually stationed on my ship. Something more man sized, less likely to punch holes in the ceiling."

Hmm, do you want these to run autonomously, or are you looking to make something like power armor?

"I was actually looking for something my ship's AI could maneuver. He really needs to get out more and having some sort of physical form that can do things on a human scale may be good for him."

Oh, I see! Castle Heterodyne controls a number of mobile clanks as part of it's defenses.

"Omoikane has barrier fields, but that's about it."

That's one thing my castle doesn't have.

Actually, I'm not too sure it tries very hard to keep people out.

[It has more fun playing with it's victims when they're inside.]

"Well, Omoikane is put in an experimental battleship, I would guess castles are friendlier since they get guests."

[She snickers.]

I don't think anyone has ever called Castle Heterodyne 'friendly.'

She looks up at the castle.

"Maybe it just hasn't found the right people. Most AI's I know aren't made bad, they're just abused or programed by lunatics."

[She shrugs]

I meant more that it has an.... interesting sense of humor.

"Interesting that it destroyed a fleet because they shot at it once, interesting that it hijacked the com network of a planet and played the president's secret evil plan just because it didn't like him, or interesting that it once turned off the oxygen to a fleet because they annoyed it? That's really the extent of interesting senses of humor that I've witnessed in AIs."

She sweatdrops at that.

Hmm....

Yeah. You've pretty much got it.
