Moving Day! Backdated to the 22nd

Who: Hizumi Mizushiro, Ayumu Narumi, Hiyono Yuizaki, and Taro Watanabe. OPEN!
Where: Pisces District, around the apartments and the Narumi Detective Agency.
Summary: After working to turn it into a proper living space, the Spiral kids + a tanuki are moving into a detective agency because of lame name jokes.
Warnings: None.

It took some work, but what better way to distract yourself from certain Shadow pains than to get busy with moving? This may or may not be the reason why Hizumi abruptly called up the others and told them to get their stuff moved in if they wanted a bigger place to stay. And yes, even Hiyono was included in that list - even though he doesn't know a whole lot about her, she's Ayumu's friend from home and seems to know a few things, so why not?

Thus, various people can probably be found running between the apartments and the old Detective Agency. Even if they look busy, maybe they'll have time to stop and say hi?

It took some work, but by evening, everything's been more or less moved in! Whether it was organized was another matter entirely, but at least there's no more dragging stuff from the apartments over to the new residence, right?

Now would be a perfect time to mingle and/or obtain foodstuffs while basking in the pride of having successfully moved. At least, until you realize you still need to get everything put away properly, but. It's a start?

Taro doesn't have a ton of stuff, but he does have a few odd things that came out while organizing. His little corner has a raggedy teddy bear sitting on top of his spy novels, and a small lockpicking tool kit is tucked away into a drawer.

The tanuki himself is working on making eggs in the kitchen area, though, and is totally free for bugging.

"Oiiii, Taroooo!"

Have a devil peering over your shoulder, bro.

"Already time for food?"

Yay! Hizumi is always welcome. He grins and nods.

"Well, I figured we'll need something to perk us back up from carrying stuff!"

"And the solution to that is eggs?"

Definitely a bachelor's meal. But still! "Smells good! Are they about ready yet?"

[hachitaro]

"They're easy to make. I'll have to go shopping to get other groceries. And yeah. Can you grab some plates?"

The rest of the house is a little too young for one of his other easy meals. He's gonna have to find somewhere to hide the beer.

About the same time Taro starts in on cooking his eggs, Ayumu makes his way to the kitchen now that he's finished in his room, carrying a box filled with dry goods and kitchenware.

"Hey."

[hachitaro]

"Hey." He waves with the spatula.

"What sort of stuff do you have in there?"

[melodyoflogic]

"Dry goods and whatever was left in my apartment that wouldn't spoil while I transported it across town." He hated to waste food, and tossing them would be a waste. He sets it the box down on the counter, pulling out boxes and bags, small canisters of spices.

Ayumu seems to be a teenager who's relatively comfortable when it comes to cooking, from the look of the seasonings. "I haven't had a lot of time to get much here, but I also brought my kitchen things, if we need them." Having only been in Hinoto-Ri since October, his apartment hadn't been as furnished as it could have been, but he'd had the basics at least.

"Huh. Thanks. I guess I didn't realize you were such a chef..." Most of Taro's cooking experience can be gently called either bachelor cooking or 'throw everything into a pot and hope it's edible', but at least his food is usually okay.

"Do you know if Hizumi or Hiyono cook? We could set up a schedule or something."

Hiyono didn't have much to bring over save her clothes, her tools and her taser. She still had to make the move official through a little something called paperwork, but she might as well have gotten the worst of it out of the way.

She's been uncharacteristically quiet, though, ever since the run-in with Hizumi's, Ayumu's and Taro's shadows...it seems like something's been bothering her really strongly. Not that the cheery disposition will make that particularly obvious, since she seems content with just humming along to some random beat she's hearing over the radio waves, but for those who can really get Hiyono, it's there.

"So you're joining us after all?" Hizumi looks cheerful at least, even if he's been surreptitiously keeping an eye on her all this time. He can't help but be curious, especially since this girl seems to be involved despite his having absolutely no knowledge of her.

Just how did that happen?

"Ayumu will probably be happy to have you here!"

"Of course! Why would I not want to stay by Narumi-san as his assistant?" The smile turns into something of a mock-pout.

"Happy, though? I don't know about that; he's always so mean to me." Stupid Ayumu, such a butt. Much headaches, wow. >8T Though it's probably clear as day that she doesn't entirely mean what she says, if the mock-pout didn't give it away on its own.

"Because that means living with two other guys that you don't know as well?" Most obvious reason to him, at least.

But that second part...

"You guys really have an interesting relationship, don't you...?"

"Mm, maybe... but if he's there, it'll be fine." A jerk he might be, but she can at least count on him to help keep things in line.

Speaking of which--have a pointed look.

"Wait--what part of our relationship is 'interesting'?"

Ayumu had been surprised by Hizumi offering to let Hiyono join them. Taro, he could understand, but Hizumi didn't know Hiyono much at all... yet, anyway. He was halfway to protesting because he could only imagine the headache that both of them in one living space could create, but ultimately he decided that sticking together was probably the most logical choice, and Hiyono would invade their living space one way or another, either physically or with her usual constant bug planting. Proximity wouldn't really change much in the long run, besides the noise level, and if Ayumu was being honest with himself, which he generally wasn't, he liked the idea of having her around, even if he also preferred his privacy.

But he did have something to talk to her about, something that was long overdue. Once Hiyono has her stuff settled in, Ayumu approaches her door, knocking lightly on the doorway.

"Hey."

Gosh, Ayumu, of all the times to bug her, why when she's still busy putting things in order?

Well, she can afford to take an interruption or two. She needs the break anyway.

"Ah--just a moment, Narumi-san~" There's that sing-songy tone of hers. Again. She goes to open the door soon enough, as much of a smiler as ever.

"Sorry, I was getting a few things in order." Not that she had much to begin with, being a recent arrival and all that. Sooner or later she's going to line this room with the usual stuff, like a new laptop and what not...

"If you're still busy, I can come back later." He'd thought she had finished by now, but apparently not. The talk could wait if she needed more time, though it was important they did talk....

The room Hizumi's claimed is probably the most fully furnished. After unpacking all of his clothes and the laptop, he begins with what may be the most important part of all...

That is to say, setting up the ever-important Featherman R figurines in the perfect order on his desk.

That's not to say he's being completely anti-social, however. If someone pops in to say hi, he'll be ready with a cheerful grin right away.

Ayumu didn't have much in the way of possessions-- He hadn't arrived with much to begin with. He'd brought over his clothes and what basics he'd picked up in Hinoto-Ri, and had taken the time to transport what dried foodstuff he had that would keep on the trip across town. It was almost boring, really, aside from the small collection of accessories and earrings, but Ayumu had always been careful with his spending.

Once he's finished setting up his room, he makes himself at home in the kitchen as well, putting away what he'd brought and considering what to make for dinner.

"Looks like this kitchen is going to be getting a lot of use... Although, if it's you, everything's going to be as healthy as possible, huh?"

Hi Ayumu, have a chipper Devil hanging around. Not that this is especially different from the norm.

Not different from the norm at all.

"Hey. Don't make it sound like I'm the one who's going to do all the cooking." No way. He knew Hizumi at least could feed himself, and he didn't doubt Taro could, too. The chances of all of them being as poor as his sister was at cooking were slim to none.

"But if you think about it, it's more cost-efficient to buy ingredients in bulk for a certain type of meal, right? It would cut down on leftovers, too. If we all took turns, that might be better, especially with our budgets limited right now."

During the day, Hizumi can be found making the trek from the Pisces apartments over to the Detective agency, usually with a sizable box in hands. He seems unusually focused today, clearly doing whatever he can to keep the box as balanced as possible as he walks.

So naturally, now would be the best time to come and bug him, right?

Now what could be the cause of the commotion in Pisces 6-05 this fine day? Is it some burglar trying to rifle through one of the visitors' things? Is it someone haplessly digging around everywhere for something they lost? Is it--

...Oh, it's just Hiyono making a ruckus over nothing, nevermind. Except it really is something to her because she needs these things, okay.
