The chimera's claws also bounce harmlessly off of Atsuro - indeed, they're reflected right back at the chimera and it may find itself with a few extra bloody adornments to its coat. Atsuro darts forward a few steps towards Nano before realizing he'd better try and actually do something more than walk in front of her.

"Back off!"

Daidara-bocchi's foot smashes down into the ground, unleashing a shockwave that ripples around the arena. ...It seems to be less of a physical attack than a mental one as it doesn't affect Nano, Atsuro, or Sarah at all.

"I've weakened their attacks and defenses!"

When the beasts realize that none of the targets can be hurt with physical attacks they switch tactics. As they roar into the sky in unison again, strange reddish hands descend and attempt to grab them and pin them down violently.

The hands grab them, holding down both their feet and hands. Fire erupts from their mouths at they attempt to burn their targets alive. With the power of Persona, they will not be killed, but fire still burns, protection or not...

[Nano is still affected by the fear from earlier, so the fire is completely terrifying to her at the moment. She screams as the attack hits, but considering her Persona both nulls fire and reflects physical, she's completely fine. She just thinks she isn't.]

Well, at least he had halved their attack earlier.

"Why don't we ever get magical hands that pin down our enemies."

Atsuro can only manage to grumble a little bit before the flames wash over him. On a scale of one to Maggots Hatching Out of Your Body, he rates it a solid Ouch.

"Maybe kick the request upstairs to that butterfly guy."

Sarah's scale starts at Man-Sized Monster Biting You and tops out at Giant Tentacle Spider Lasers. This rates at Three-Foot Spike Impaling You.

The hands disappear in a flash of light as they begin to circle all of them, although their target appears to be Nano for the most part. If they can't burn or physically hurt her, they'll try to bash her right into one of the many pits that are suddenly appearing across the battlefield.

There's no guess how deep those could be...

[Finally snapped out of the fear effect from earlier, Nano realizes the bind she's in. It doesn't really scare her any less, but hopefully her Persona can help her out.]

[Protected by the mystic properties of being a video game character, Atsuro's clothes are slightly sooty but otherwise intact. He spends a few moments dashing his hat against the ground to put out a flickering flame.]

In the meantime, Seiten Taisei who had definitely been here the whole time since he had been written in ten tags again and had Nulled the Phys attack and had been severely burned by the flames, gets himself together and swoops down to try and warp Nano away from the pits.]

Sarah directs Fenrir to cast Maakingu on one of the chimera as she gets up, brushing off her coat.

"Anyone need healing?"

The monsters roar when their prey slips their grasps due to the teleportation spell, and that was made worse when the physical attacks connected, sending the closest of the creatures slamming into the side of the tent, bringing out a part of the tissue with it. There was...nothing? Like pure white. As it bounced back, the tent reformed, and they could clearly see symbols and code flashing before it was repatched.

The creature was wounded, by the other two leaped in front of it, both letting loose an attack of lightening at them, that combined into a dark cloud that let loose thunder and lightening. The noise was incredibly loud, piercing at their ears. They didn't even notice when the mark spell connected and placed back and forth...

Once the lightening had subsided, the monsters attacked, grabbing their necks and shaking them over and over...or at least that's what it seemed like. As the group suddenly found themselves in a strange white area, brought together by fear, it looked like they had failed.
