Hand me some of the blue ones....

[People in the Scorpio district today might notice a young girl decorating the outside wall of the Mark Immortal's theater. She's standing on a step ladder while an odd little creature hands her up various paints, brushes and other supplies. Right now she's using bits of colored glass, taken from various broken bottles found in the trash. The picture seems to be of people lining up to go to the theater. Those who look closer might notice that the people seem to be familiar. They're all various visitors that Akane has met or seen. They might even see themselves. Everyone is depicted as cheerful and friendly. The blue glass is currently being used to decorate someone's dress. And the little girl seems to be having a pretty good time herself.

.....But does she even have permission to do this?]

Ooh, that looks great! What do you think, Shizuo-kun?

Thank you! I wanted to paint something that would make people smile.

[She climbs down carefully.]

These are all the people I've seen around town.

[He turns his attention back towards the mural.]

Did it take you a long time?

[She shrugs.]

I guess so. I've been here all day. And I'll probably have to come back tomorrow.

Well, I guess things like this aren't finished in a day. -still, it looks like you have a lot done!

I have been working pretty hard. When it's finished I'm gonna put a picture of it on the network.

[Smile!]

You should! Then maybe more people will also come to see it in person as well!

[Akane smiles even brighter as a thought occurs to her.]

Hey, do you wanna help?

[swordsaintseta]

[Soujirou blinks at that.]

Eh? Sure, I'll help if you like. Ah...but I've never done something like this...

That's okay! I think with art, your feelings are more important than anything else.

[swordsaintseta]

Feelings, huh...

[He looks up at the wall again.]

Yeah! Do you want to give it a try?

[swordsaintseta]

Okay! Where should I start?

[blessed_by_the_world]

Wherever you like! You could help me decorate everyone's clothing with these bits of glass.

Or there's some blank space over there if you want to add someone new.

I think I can handle helping decorate! I should probably start off small.

Okay! Just pick someone I haven't decorated yet. We're using the glass so that everyone will sparkle.

Haha! Okay then!

[After taking a look at the wall again, Soujirou turns towards where the Timburr is, giving the creature a smile as he stoops down to pick some bits of glass to start with.]

[blessed_by_the_world]

[The Timburr answers the smile with a grin of it's own. Akane helpfully introduces him.]

That's Shizuo-kun.

It's nice to meet you, Shizuo-kun. -ah! I'm sorry, I completely forgot to introduce myself!

[He bows towards them both.]

I'm Soujirou Seta.

[blessed_by_the_world]

[She bows back. Shizuo-kun just nods. He's too cool to bow.]

I'm Akane! Akane Awakusu. It's nice to meet you, Soujirou-san.

You too, Akane-san. Thank you for letting me help out!

I should be thanking you. It's always nice to have help. And something like this is more fun with more people anyway.

[She picks up one of the paintbrushes and starts working on one of the blank spaces.]

The one thing I really like about this city is that everyone is really nice to each other.

[Soujirou turns to set a piece of glass into place on the wall.]

It seems that way, so far as I've experienced. Everyone has been pretty friendly.

Yeah. It's really different from where I came from. Not that the people back home weren't friendly, it's just....

[No crime syndicates, street gangs, or manipulative information brokers. (Happily she never knew about that last one. ) ]
