The 13th Hour - GENERAL LOG

Who: EVERYONE who is in the Scorpio Event and not doing the boss battle.
Where: The Entire City
Summary: 13th hour. The Perfect Link's Mutation Skill is unlocked and now people have a chance against the swarming Scorpions. Unfortunately, for some, this just means the paranoia hit a new low....you can group and join each other's posts and try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: NPCs, Attacking, Battles.

13th Hour.

The city was in chaos. As it hit, the population attempted to return home, but it was too late. The scorpions continued to swarm, the police force trying to help as many as they could. You might even spot the Anoli once in a while...although they were only helping those that had Persona. Regardless, they were, at least, doing something.

The corpses of millions of scorpions were littered in the city streets. But once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated. But that was not the worst of it...

Oh no...

The Scorpios of the city now had a Scorpion tail dragging behind them, capable of causing Poison and Paralyzing damage. On a normal human, this was already terrible enough...

On a Persona User....they needed to be taken down.

Quickly.

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission; you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Scorpio Ward...

Visiting the Velvet Room had been a good idea. With things going totally haywire in the city, monsters crawling on the streets, and certain people being apparently brainwashed into attacking civilians, it did well to have a Persona that was good on the offense along with Eve who held up on the support and defense.

Though he had to admit the coincidence behind the identity of this Persona felt like a bad joke.

"Principality, use Holy Arrow!" Thrusting out his free hand, the angel Persona appears behind him and rained down arrows of light onto one of the scorpions, not leaving much of a dent but causing it to stagger on its feet in what appeared to be a state of confusion. In his other hand, Aziraphale holds a great flaming sword, which he uses to strike down another scorpion coming up behind a civilian. The civilian thanks him and runs off to the safety of the indoors as Aziraphale turns on some of the other scorpions.

While he isn't being swarmed, he could use some help protecting other defenseless civilians caught on the streets.

While he's being swarmed, he will hear a THUD, and see a ball of blue energy cutting a path through the scorpions (and even through the trees, although not hurting them), and then a

"Whoa!"

Because BACK THE FUCK UP IS THAT A GIANT FLAMING SWORD

Aziraphale turns to find the source of the blue energy with a bit of worry, only to find the young angel behind him. "Thank you!" He grins a bit bashfully, noticing that Pit's admiring his sword. Aziraphales a bit intrigued by what weapon he's holding as well.

"Do you like it?"

"Man that is awesome! I wish I had a weapon as cool as that!"

Said the kid who has freaking magic machine guns and samurai blades and clubs that can shoot projectiles through walls.

"I actually really like your weapon, whatever it is." Aziraphale motions to the club in his hands. "Did you fire that ball of energy using it??" That's actually pretty impressive to him, his sword doesn't exactly have any kind of projectile properties, although his Persona did.

"Are you helping out the civilians as well? Certain ones are being swarmed for some reason much more severely than others, as though the creatures are attracted to them... I haven't been able to discern why, exactly."

He nods. "I'm helping out however I can. As for my club...all my weapons do that! I mean, not all of them can shoot through walls, but all of them can fire projectiles. It's pretty handy being able to switch from ranged to melee attacks!"

"All of them??" Wow... That really must have been convenient.

Looking past Pit at approaching scorpions, Aziraphale spins his sword in his hand skillfully and rushes past him, downing the scorpions in a few quick slashes. They screech as the flames burn their shells. "I believe these things aren't fond of fire."

"Oh really?" he asks, a blue card floating before him. "Then it's time to bring the pain!"

Pit smashes the card with his club, calling forth a...

...um...

It's...

A game sprite?! From the 1980's?! It's an angel!?

That sets fire to some of the scorpions, but.

..... Aziraphale stares at the odd Persona, adjusting his glasses. "That's certainly an interesting looking one... It looks like it came from one of those children's arcades..." He totally is still a 1980's kind of angel himself.

Striking another scorpion with his flaming sword, Aziraphale then calls up his own angel Persona and crushes a card in his hand, lightning bolts shooting from Principality and finishing it off.

"No. It came from the NES! It's me!"

"...The NES?" Okay he's never heard of the NES... he may be an 80's man, but he's also an old fuddy duddy who doesn't own a television set and has never played a video game in his entire life. "That's..... you...."

Oh my god Pit stop breaking the fourth wall.

HE CAN'T HELP IT IT'S CANON

"Yeah! The Nintendo Entertainment System. Back in '87 Nintendo released this game called Kid Icarus, starring me! Obviously I'm years away from that--last game I was in was Kid Icarus: Uprising, for the 3DS. It's amazing how far video game technology has come! My latest game's soundtrack is even orchestrated!"

And quite awesome, the narration can't lie. ~~It's not like she's listening to it right now or anything.~~

......... Aziraphale is so entirely confused and stunned by what Pit just said- and the fact that he actually meant it all and wasn't kidding around- that a scorpion manages to come up from behind him and knock him off of his feet.

That is quite the impressive sword.

Minako almost wants to stop and admire it, or at least work out the physics of how it works, but there are scorpions creeping up behind the man with the flaming sword and angelic Persona.

"Quetzalcoatl!" Her Evoker fires and the winged snake-god appears. A blast of Magarula, boosted to gale-like proportions by Wind Boost and Wind Amp combined, rips across the street centimeters away from Aziraphale. The trio of enemies are caught up in the torrent, spin across the sidewalk and slam into a brick wall. The wall cracks slightly and they twitch, and stop moving.

Physics? No physics here, only wondrous magic!

Aziraphale quickly jumps away from the blast of wind and looks back at Minako with wide eyes. "Th-thank you, miss..." Though he's incredibly frightened by the fact that she had almost hit him... "Could you please be a... tad more careful?" He almost lost his nose.

"I'm sorry! I didn't think you'd move!" She looks apologetic, but maybe not quite as much as she ought to be under the circumstances. In her mind, she really hadn't been close to hitting him.

"I very well could have..." He seems to realize that she probably didn't understand how close to hitting him she'd been... or at the very least how terrifying that had been. "I'm not so worried about myself, though, just please be careful of the civilians."

"I have been, don't worry! I'm experienced at this." This should completely reassure you of all your doubts, Aziraphale. She knows what she's doing.

"Experienced at fighting, or...?" Does she mean using Personas? He assumed everyone here was entirely new at using them, he never really asked if there were those who knew how to use them. It simply didn't occur to him. "Either way it is rather startling... but yes, thank you for fending off those scorpions... Goodness, I wonder where they're all coming from, or why."

"Fighting with Personas." Well, now he knows! "But I'd like to know that too... It'd make things a lot easier."

"You've had experience using Personas then...? Before arriving here?" Wow... that was actually incredibly useful! "Perhaps you could teach others how to use theirs more effectively, then. I'm still trying to get the hang of using mind, it's quite a strange power."

"That's right. Although I've always used an Evoker to summon them." The taps the 'gun' which is now holstered at her side again. "It's strange at first but it gets more natural the more you use it."

Aziraphale gives the Evoker an odd look. He recalls mention of those, used mostly in Persona Duels if he remembers correctly. "I'm still new to using Principality, unfortunately. He's more of a fighter than Eve is. That is, more of a fighter than I tend to be."

Though his skill with his flaming sword seems to contradict this.

Yeah, it sort of does. "You have a really nice sword, though..."

"Oh, well... to be honest I haven't made much use of it in the past six thousand years. I gave it as a gift back in the Beginning, but... well, it's like riding a bicycle." He gives the sword a small, thoughtful swing. "You never really forget how to use it."
