Who: Open to anyone, but anyone from the first log will be doubly urged to come.
Where: Starting in Virgo, leading in to Gemini.
Summary: The next night, the song is back, and even stronger...but this time, it seems to have a purpose.
Warnings: Secondary, small plot event
The 27th seemed to have been a bust. Many stood around, discussing the strange music, before eventually retiring when exhaustion hit after the 13th hour...and boy did it. Strangely, the civilian population- even persona users -reported to not hearing anything at all.

The night of the 28th, it happened again. The same song, the same pleading call, to the same row of shops. But something did change, as midnight melted quickly towards the Thirteenth hour.

Another noise sought to be heard over the music- this one akin to television static. If one looked closely at the glass of the nearby shop windows, they could see something cloudy forming on them...but that was only a reflection. Nothing stood in that spot in the street. A figure took form amid the shimmered raindrops, only visible in the reflection of the rain and the glass. A ghost, glowing dimly, with eyes so pitch black that one could never see through them. And where were those unending eyes pointed? Up at Mount Utsugi, giving way to Mictlan...

It moved instinctively, heading for the structure without any glance at the Persona users it had called out to. The piper had it's children, and now it only had to lead them...

[ OOC: Feel free to try to interact with the ghostly figure, or just go along for the ride! And just to clarify, yeah the ghost has no physical form- it's only visible in reflective surfaces -so if you wanna follow it, you might need a mirror or something. If you want to know if something would work for that, just bug me on plurk (gaakishi)! ]

Arturia had brought her sword for just in case. After the previous night she fully expected for there to be some kind of attack and she did not want to be unprepared. This was also why she was in a bright yellow raincoat she knew would scream to any potential enemy "TARGET!" but better to keep the rain out of her face and her body dry just in case.

She approached Nick who looked like he was expecting an enemy at any moment, and glanced over his shoulder at the reflection of the boy in the mirror.

"Would you like some company, sir?"

There's no singing or snacks on his part tonight - he's intently focused on the ghost, catching its reflection in a large shard of broken glass he's carrying. He doesn't seem to notice the small trickles of blood running down his fingers from where he's clutching the jagged shard.
ghost_shield: (Hey there!)

He blinks, turning. She'd seem like any other bystander if it weren't for that sword -- but that sword may be exactly what he needs. "Ah... well, if you're offering, Miss. It is kind of a dangerous time of night to be alone." He eyes the boy, just vaguely visible in the reflection of the puddles. "Although I guess it says something about me that I'm out here, doesn't it?"

Shura's Pisaca does detect the blood, however, trailing Minato as Shura followed hurriedly to keep up. "Hey! Wait!"

Kisuke had missed the mysterious song the previous night. But when he noticed the song playing the following night, he couldn't help but set off to find what it was about. When he arrived at the scene, he froze for a moment at the reflection on the windows.

A ghost? Kisuke narrowed his eyes as if to get a better look. This wasn't the kind of ghost he was used to back from his home world.

Curiosity took the better of the little ninja; Kisuke took hold of one of his swords and unsheathed the blade just enough to get the reflection of the figure as he followed after.

She nods, her expression now turning concerned as she looks up at him. She can certainly tell that he's nervous about this.

"Yes, I am... What are you doing to do, Boss?"
linefacingforever: (I am an awesome hero.)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yu nodded in confirmation, slipping the COMP glasses back into his pocket, before reaching up to adjust his own glasses to better see the ghost. If he and his team could see it the best, it was better if he led the charge.

He pauses briefly when he hears your voice, glancing back at you with his customary too-wide grin.

"Hey~"

Shura catches up quickly, less unnerved than before by your grin, somehow. "Do you see it too?"
linefacingforever: (Gurk!?)

[personal profile] linefacingforever 2012-10-29 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yu hadn't seen what the boy in front of him had done; he was so caught up in following the ghost that he hadn't really made the connection to why the ground was suddenly shiner. Well, that was, until his feet went flying out from under him, and he found out what it was like to ice skate on your butt.

Thanks for that, Riku.

Yu went flying past the other boy, letting out an awkward and very not-proswag-like squeal in the process.

A single nod as he brings the chunk of glass up.

"Yup!"

The glass is stained red where he grips it, and it doesn't look particularly clean, either - almost like he just grabbed it at random from the ground somewhere.

"... it's like every time I see you, you're bleeding from somewhere."

Nonetheless, he can see the ghostly figure, so she chooses him as guide.

A smile as he turns back to the task of tracking.

"Wow, really?"

He lifts up the glass and peers into it, his smile somehow subtly altering into something more natural looking.

"We should hang out more often, then!"

Strange though, that the COMP glasses could not see as clearly as the ones this man - he realised he never caught his name - was wearing. Were they made out of different material? Did they perhaps have some form of enchantment...?

"What are those made of?" he asked, his curiosity finally demanding he asked.
dame_tsuna: (And as he asked if I would come along)

"I'll come too."

He's not exactly keen on the idea, but there's just no other choice. And standing around talking about it would just waste time.

"It's not like I could let you go alone."

He glances back at the mirror.

"We should hurry though, or we'll lose track of it."

"Okay, Boss-" Chrome pauses, and adjusts her compact in order to get a better view of the figure. She frowns faintly and walks closer to the figure, looking at where it was looking.

He had heard the song before, last night in the rain. And here it was again, insistent, and pulling. Shinjiro wasn't too keen and following it this time around either—he had enough shit he had to deal with for the past week—but it's still far too easy to find himself in front of the shop windows again, soaked and a bit disgruntled.

But this time he heard the static as the Dark Hour hit. Though it was called the 13th here, he viewed them as the same: a hidden hour cut from the same cloth, and just as ominous as the original had been. He felt the rain continue, and watched the glass on the windows cloud, something shadow-like appearing on the face of the glass, in the reflection if it, though he sees no one else besides him, just empty space saturated with rain.

He frowned and looked around at the crowd that has gathered, watching the puzzled and disbelieving looks directed both at the glass and elsewhere, and starts to walk. He watched the figure, whatever it was, real or unreal, move from window to window as he did across ground, it seeming to exist in the space between the glass.

It didn't take long for his eyes to catch someone else just a few feet away. Shinjiro glanced his way, followed the other person's eyes over to a puddle of water, and caught site of the same figure that he had seen in the glass not so long ago. Shinjiro's frown deepened, though the rest of his expression remained impassive.

He then took a moment to evaluate the situation, as if weighing the value of speaking or saying silent and continuing on his way. He chose to speak.

"You see something?"

"Really...?"

Rune frowned, looking to the window just in time to catch sight of the kid in question passing by, before seeing the image again in a hubcap.

Well.

Well then.

Rune had dealt with plenty of monsters that would give anyone nightmares. Ghosts? That was a whole different story. She clung to Pit's arm at that; how are you enjoying those mixed signals, Pit?

"P-Pit..." she whimpered. "Your hallucinations are contagious...!"

Yamato's persistence is rewarded. A ghostly wail, as of some ancient creature stirring from an eons-long slumber, sounds loudly through the darkness of the night.

...It is followed shortly by an apology.

"Ah... sorry." A second ghostly figure appears out of the shadows. It has no face, until Atsuro reaches up and adjusts his cap out of his eyes. "Didn't mean to yawn so loudly." A repeat performance ensues, though much more subdued in volume. "...I'm exhausted."

Why had he come out again tonight? Ostensibly, his reason was that he had needed to go shopping, only to be caught by the siren song the previous night. He'd slept the whole day and then emerged into the twilight again, only to be swept up by the song anew. ...This was not a good week.

"...Why're you staring at your phone, Yamato?"

"You saw it, too?"

He knows hallucinations aren't actually contagious, so he feels a lot less insane now. Thanks, Rune!
linefacingforever: (Oh really...?)

Yu was about to answer when he heard that faint word, whispered just above the hiss of the rain. He almost stopped dead in his tracks in surprise -- as it was he fumbled a bit. Maybe... maybe what? Part of him was screaming to turn back, that this was an obvious trap and he shouldn't be falling into it, while the other half was just curious as to what the heck was going on.

"...I don't know," he finally answered Yamato, picking up the pace after the ghost.
