Summary: The next night, the song is back, and even stronger...but this time, it seems to have a purpose.

The 27th seemed to have been a bust. Many stood around, discussing the strange music, before eventually retiring when exhaustion hit after the 13th hour...and boy did it. Strangely, the civilian population- even persona users -reported to not hearing anything at all.

The night of the 28th, it happened again. The same song, the same pleading call, to the same row of shops. But something did change, as midnight melted quickly towards the Thirteenth hour.

Another noise sought to be heard over the music- this one akin to television static. If one looked closely at the glass of the nearby shop windows, they could see something cloudy forming on them...but that was only a reflection. Nothing stood in that spot in the street. A figure took form amid the shimmered raindrops, only visible in the reflection of the rain and the glass. A ghost, glowing dimly, with eyes so pitch black that one could never see through them. And where were those unending eyes pointed? Up at Mount Utsugi, giving way to Mictlan...

It moved instinctively, heading for the structure without any glance at the Persona users it had called out to. The piper had it's children, and now it only had to lead them...

[ OOC: Feel free to try to interact with the ghostly figure, or just go along for the ride! And just to clarify, yeah the ghost has no physical form- it's only visible in reflective surfaces -so if you wanna follow it, you might need a mirror or something. If you want to know if something would work for that, just bug me on plurk (gaakishi)! ]

One? Izanagi, shut up.

Two, Yu skidded to a stop once he ran out of ice. Unfortunately skidding involved half rolling on wet pavement. He ended up half rolling until he finally stopped face down on the ground, his lineface breaking in favor of looking exasperated.

"...s'all right."

Basically the guy needs backup and, luckily, Arturia loves to look out for people.

"You're able to see spirits, Mr. Reeve?" It didn't surprise her in the least to hear such a thing. With how many people around here had powers aside from the Personas they'd been granted, part of her wonders if that was the real reason many of them had been chosen.

"Most of them, yeah. This one's proving to be an elusive pain in the ass, though." He squints, then checks his glasses, then looks at the reflection again. "It's as if he's not even there in SPIRIT."

Kisuke stopped in his tracks when he heard a voice. A lady walking around during the dead of the night?

"There's some weird shadow walkin'." Kisuke replied as he nodded towards the spot the figure was...supposedly. "Can't see it under the naked eye, but seems like it shows up on reflections. Don't have anything else that's handy at the moment."

Yamato quietened and they ran in silence for a while, their steps splashing through the occasional puddle. The rain thickened at this point, a slight haze lurking close to the surface of the street, and the mountain was looming ever closer.

Ugh, he should've brought a hair tie or something. It was annoying having to deal with it when it was loose and wet. He slowed to a mild jog, letting Yu move ahead of him by a few paces. He was considering...the other could see where the invisible demon was, so perhaps Yamato could end this if they just simply attacked the thing?

"Have you thought about restraining it through the use of your Persona? You can see it clearly, after all."

"You're only just aware of it now?" Yamato asked, glancing aside at Atsuro with a faint frown. "You're a bit unobservant, aren't you?"

He had been hearing that crackling for ages. It was beginning to drive him a bit insane at this point, actually - then again, lack of sleep and irritable mood was doing the majority of the heavy lifting on his sanity.

That elicits a very brief smile from Pit. "Anyway, I dunno what we'd do with a ghost, but maybe he'd lead us someplace that'd explain what's going on? Or maybe he'd even talk to us!"

At this, he raises and wiggles his fingers. "Oooooh~, welcome to my super spoooooky concert, ooooooh~"

He shakes his head with a frown of his own. "...I thought it was the rain bouncing off an unstable surface. It wasn't there last night."

Exhaustion and the general sense of sensory deprivation caused by being in a downpour made adequate discernment difficult. Now that his attention had been drawn to it, he couldn't stop hearing it.

"...........Please don't tell me anything's crawling out of a television."

"Buh?" Oh oops someone else was talking to him, so he just looks at the kid, then looks back at the reflection and points, as if trying to confirm if the other teen sees...that.

Riku frowned a bit still, waving his Keyblade after a moment to cast a Cure spell ("Heal.") - then dismissing the weapon to reach down and help Yu with getting back on his feet again. ...Or at least to offer to.

In the meantime the ice around them had disappeared again, the temporary effect of Deep Freeze ceasing.

"You mean like a ghost?" Elaine asked. "Is that what's making all of this music, then?"

It didn't take Sasha long to feel that she was being followed. She turned to Meetra behind her and said, her demeanor casual as ever, "Are you listening to the music and following the thing playing it, too? It's such a pretty tune. I wonder where the thing is going..."

The mixing of static into the music once midnight passes only made Riku frown and tense all the more. The taste of Darkness in the air was not quite as disturbing as it had been the first time he had passed into this time frame, but it was still unsettling.

He pushed that feeling of unease away from his mind, instead letting his eyes wander over puddles and windows in search for the ghost(?), acknowledging Shinjiro with a glance and a shrug,

"I thought I did."

He was sure he had, but... the lack of any kind of presence... or at least anything he could sense, made him wary.

Yamato gave Atsuro a strange look, not quite grasping the reference. "A...television? There aren't any in the nearby shop windows."

Although it did beg the question of where the static was coming from, but some demons were able to cause auditory hallucinations - it was a disturbing thought, but so long as it wasn't causing loud shrieking noises, he could tolerate the static noise any day.

Yu glanced back at him; honestly, he hadn't thought of that, and it showed on his face. He reached out, clenching his hand... mostly out of habit. One of these days, he'll stop doing that when summoning his soul Persona.

"Izanagi!"

Let's see how his Persona can handle that thing.

Pit, you deserve this punch to your arm. Not that... she can punch very well. She is a gunslinger, not a brawler.

"S-shut up, and start running!" she grumbled, starting off after the ghost.

"H-hey! Wait for me," he calls out, tripping and nearly falling as he scrambles to catch up with her.

Yu worked his neck back and forth as he felt the healing effects fall over him, before accepting Riku's hand up. He offered him a faint smile; no harm done.

He paused after a moment, though, looking around, trying to figure out where that ghost had gone.

"Huh?" He blinks. Was someone there just now? He rubs his eyes with his free hand, and squints. Why did it feel more like a reflection than the figure being inside? There's no one else here but the two of them... right?

"I was following the people following it, but yeah, that's what I was going for," she admitted. "I was curious, too, especially this weirdness happening right after the Scorpio mess."

She bowed slightly. "Meetra Surik. Sorry for following you without permission."

"Seems like it." Kisuke replied with a nod. "As for whether this thing's a ghost or not, I dunno. Different from the ghosts I've seen back in my home world."

[otakuro]

"Hah... The world where they've already worked with Personas before - Apparently, the monsters there lived inside of televisions." Atsuro shrugs before he can pressed further on the matter. "Yeah, I don't know how that works, either. It's a good argument for not wasting your life sitting in front of a soap opera, though."

Says the boy who wastes his life sitting in front of a computer.

Yamato's gaze just intensified slightly, like he was trying to pick apart Atsuro's brain with the power of his eyes alone, before turning away to check up on the ghost they were stalking. Again, it was merely shambling forth towards the mountain at a sluggish pace.

This was dull. Perhaps they could apprehend it?

"Do you have any binding or weakening abilities, Kihara?" Yamato asked, "Such as a demon with Bind?"

"Oh, there's an idea! I wonder if the two are connected, somehow." Sasha simply smiled and continued speaking. "I'm Sasha Fyer! I didn't have a problem with you following me. Someone is always following someone when there's a crowd."

He shakes his head. "I've got a Divine, a Megami, an Avatar, an Avian, a Genma, and a Beast. We could catch up to it faster if that's what you're going for... But we'd still just be following."
