Worst log ever
Who: Meetra and OPEN
Where: Pisces Floor 9 Laundromat
Summary: Laundry
Warnings: Mundanity
As much as she was concerned with unraveling the mysteries of this city, today was Saturday, and Meetra had learned that Saturday was the day for doing mundane chores you normally don't think about when working a steady job or saving the galaxy.
Particularly, it was a day for buying yourself more than one set of clothes, like after she first got here, or washing them, like right now. In particular, Meetra was out of her usual robe and wearing a black t-shirt and gray sweatpants that would probably be disconcerting to anyone she knew at home, or anyone who had wardrobe expectations of Jedi. On the other hand, they were comfortable enough to wear under her robe that it's not like anyone would normally notice. So attired, she was meditating on the circular motion of the coin-operated washing machine. And by meditating we mean staring at it.
"Something about this seems inefficient, but I can't put my finger on it..."

Kazuya squinted before blinking abruptly.
"Oh! Yeah! Huh, I didn't recognise you without your cloak and dagger."

...yup, definitely not talking about a specific person. Nope.

"Perception can be a nasty thing that way. When someone's faults or lies come to light, it's even more devastating if you had them on a pedestal of 'good' first."

He dropped his hands, rocking backwards and forth on the balls of his feet as he tilted his head, glancing at the woman on the floor.
"So I never caught your name - or if you told me it, I don't remember it."

That, and she'd figured out how to use others' power in the Force second-hand, but that ability was creepy enough that she didn't feel like sharing it.

Kazuya has, after all, absorbed all the Bel demons within himself, and he could still feel them shifting about in there, so coming here hadn't split him off from the Power of Bel. But as Atsuro suggested, maybe the majority of his power was linked to Hell, or whatever the demon world was called, so being so far away made the connection shaky.

"Sorry it's so difficult for you, but I guess adversity can make you stronger, right?"

He plonked himself down on the floor after that, pulling his knees to his chest and staring at the washing machine with a bored expression. He hated waiting for his clothes to finish washing, and he was too paranoid to wander off and leave them alone until they were done.
"So I'm guessing you live here - or your own apartment complex's laundry room is full."

"I think I've seen almost everyone who lives here today..."

"I can't say I mind meeting people, though," she admitted.

"Although I guess I was really a soldier for a while, formalities about who I was working for aside."

Kazuya leaned back on his hands, stretching his legs out before him. He was grinning. "Soo~ no recruiting happened there. One moment normal kid, BAM, next moment you're a soldier."

That kind of destruction, forcing innocents to fight or die...
"The whole reason I started fighting was to prevent things like that," she said, expression dark. "No one should be forced into war, least of all kids."
