veeelvet, oh velvet / my siiblings are such booreess
Who: Elizabeth, Margaret, and Theodore
Where: Outside of City Hall
Summary: Velvet Room sibs reuniting. Probably some city exploring and scathing remarks. Normal stuff.
Warnings:
[
Elizabeth is rather happy to be reunited with her siblings. Of course, she had seen Theodore around - and she had been avoiding Margaret, until she could get Theodore under her thumb for easy pulling around - but at long last, they were together.
This should be fun.]
It has been a while since we all hung out together, has it not? We should enjoy the time given to us, and perhaps find our way around this city.
[She pauses, then smiles. Even wider than before.]
What did you two think of the exciting beginning we had, with those Anoli causing trouble? I was more than happy to use Thanatos once again, although I do wish it had been under my own time.

So she's taking you with a pinch of salt, Liz. And making a note to look it up, later.]
Indeed. I do not believe either of us shall stray from our decision, with such a weighty burden on our shoulders.
[You can't back out now, Theodore. 83c]

is so regretting everything now
Theodore lets his hand fall as well, and he's trying not to look as uncomfortable as he feels.]
Yes, of course... A resident must always keep his word, after all.

It will be excellent practice for when you must break your vow and pursue your unearthly desires for your lovely little guest.

(liz has just said too much about your desires Theo)
Margaret is giving you The Look. Is what Liz's saying true you have 10 seconds before Margaret decides to meddle in your affairs]

Theodore colors slightly and pouts.]
I-It isn't as such, Elizabeth. My guest and I uphold a primarily professional relationship, and nothing goes beyond our respective duties... [As much as he would've liked to stayed by her side outside the Velvet Room, even now his duty is to attend to those who are new in experience to this lifestyle and to find out what he can for her. Professionalism at its finest.] I would never break that trust we share, as I don't believe that is where my journey will begin.
[Unlike yours, his words would imply if he was meaner.]
no subject
Because it's time to hear Margaret!!]
And you, older sister? Do you also have a professional relationship with your guest, or has it dipped into something more at times?
no subject
...and now the spotlight is turned on her. She is not about to admit to her sinfulness outright, but...]
...My guest and I hold a professional relationship, as well. He has risen to each challenge I placed before him. Truthfully, he has many suitors [besides her], so I doubt that, even should I find interest in a relationship beyond the boundaries of the Velvet Room, I would face a variety of competition.
[...Margaret, have you been thinking about this...]
no subject
Because these are Theo's thoughts too. His guest has many suitors too
even though one is Death incarnate, one's a child, and one's supposed to be dead in another timeline so the only viable one is a protein junkieand so he doesn't wish to impede upon that.]Which is why we must stay faithful to our roles. Do you understand, Elizabeth?
[please knock the smile off his face]
no subject
But she had never really thought about it.
It makes her sigh, though, to see her siblings like this - trapped in a way of thinking she had since overcome.]
The role of an attendant is to learn the answer to the question of "who are we?" by interacting with the guests that come to the Velvet Room. While I have left my duties, for the moment, I have - by no means - left my role. The Fool card represents the beginning of a journey, one to find the answer to that very question, and I intend to complete it, as well as forge bonds to create the power I require to achieve what I desire.
no subject
Perhaps we should follow in your footsteps and forge our own bonds, then.
[ She's very specifically avoiding mentioning her guest. And she sounds... actually sort of bemused. And annoyed. Liz, she's taking you with a whole barrel of salt. She also is basically assuming she understood you right. ]
no subject
It seemed that whatever person his guest had talked to, she had been able to create a bond. No boundaries could limit her - not even a language barrier. And now Elizabeth planned to do the same. While Theodore has little doubt in his mind that she would persevere somehow with that will of hers...
He stays quiet, wondering if even someone like him would be able to see past whatever may lie ahead and reach out to another the way Minako had.]
