A Day in the Life of a Part Time Job Slave

Who: Yu Narukami, and everyone and anyone and all the things.
Where: Virgo, Aquarius, and Taurus Districts; any given week.
Summary: Yu's still working his three jobs to help save up for an apartment. And now it's almost Christmas time... you can pretty much guess how this goes.
Warnings: Crossdressing antics.

[Christmas time again... never mind it had only been a few months ago for Yu. He didn't want to think much about what happened before last Christmas, so... well...]

[MONDAY-WEDNESDAY; MAYS GROCERY STORE CLERK, 5:00 3:00-11:00PM]
[Being the superstore of Hinoto-Ri, of course Mays is swamped on a regular basis. Yu is totally and completely not shocked when they start calling him in to work extra hours. He was thinking about going back to school, but that's obviously out this month... at least the extra money will help with his apartment funds.]

[Yu can be found, quite literally, all over the store. Seeing as it's busy, he's willing to go where ever they need him: grocery, check out, deli area... everywhere.]

[THURSDAY-FRIDAY; AQUARIUS DISTRICT LIBRARY, 5:00-9:00PM]
[He would say that Thursday and Friday are his break days, but guess where some shoppers drop their kids off while they shop? Hinoto-Ri really needs a Chuck E. Cheese or something...]

[When Yu isn't child wrangling, he'll be around helping with anyone that wants to study or needs some kind of tutoring. He would also bring Nanako with him while he works, if she wants to come.]

[SATURDAY; NYX'S NIGHTCLUB, 10:00PM-4:00AM]
[...he hates the fact that he's starting to love this job.]

[No, seriously, after he got over the overwhelming shame, he found himself having a lot of fun at work. Sure, it sucked when demons got a little too grabby, but he was strong enough to remind them that touching was against the rules.]

[Since it's going to be cold on the 8th, Yu's going to work wearing his wig. Hey, the extra hair helped to keep his ears warm.]

[There's some children in the corner, with a familiar boy in some different clothes. He's crouched near them, playing a game while one of the older caretakers looks on.]

[As he spots Yu, he waves, and speaks to the other caretaker for a moment, before heading over.]

[...oh Link. He's going to have to introduce you to some of his female friends, isn't he?]

Hey. Here for a lesson?

[Probably.]

Yeah. I told her that I had to leave around now on Thursdays, anyway.

[One of the kids runs up to Link and hugs his leg. He just laughs, crouches, and gives the boy a little hug back before nudging him back to his friends.]

[Yu smiled faintly as he watched, reminded of his daycare job back in Inaba. Man, he missed that...]

[He waited until the kid ran back to his friends.]

So, do you remember where we left off last Thursday?

Um... we were working on animals, I think.

[Link may or may not have ended up writing 'horse' about fifty times.]

All right. Let's see how much you remember then.

[Yu set out some paper and pencils, before settling down and grabbing a picture book. He flipped it open, holding up a picture of a cat and nodding for Link to write down what it was.]

[Link nods, and carefully writes down 'cat', before showing it to Yu. His handwriting is shaky, but legible.]

[Yu gave a nod.]

Good. Your handwriting is getting better.

[He smiles brightly at Yu.]

I figured out how to write some of the creatures from my world, too.

[Not that he'd be able to tell if he was right or not, but the fact that he was figuring things out was an amazing step forward.]

[He takes a moment to doodle a Deku Scrub and label it, along with a fairy and a Goron. He starts to try to draw a Zora, but gets stuck on the fins.]

... Zora are hard to draw.

[...well he wasn't sure about the others, but he knew "fairy" was spelled right at least!]

Are they supposed to have fins somewhere?

[Just a wild guess, judging from the face shape.]

Yeah, on their arms and off of their heads.

... I'm not very good at drawing.

[Yu chuckled softly.]

It's all right, I'm not either.

[He reached around, grabbing a pencil and taking a wild guess at what a Zora fin looks like. And... yeah, his drawing ability isn't much better, Link. This is why he sticks to folding the paper.]

Does that work?

... Yeah, kinda!

[He grins, doodling a sword. As an afterthought, he draws the Triforce on the blade.]

I guess that's the Master Sword...

[... They're probably getting off topic.]

[Yu blinked at that; funny, he always saw that weapon at the check in area when he came in...]

That's your sword?

I regret nothing.

[Yu let out a soft noise, insanely curious now, but he didn't want to push it. Social links require patience and time, you know.]

[He starts drawing a snake, and then draws two clawed limbs coming off of it and a quick scribble of fire, writing 'Volvagia' under it.]

He was a dragon. He was really tough to beat. I kept having to hit him with my hammer.
