It was a little warmer, and Kaito was feeling less sick, so clearly this was his chance to go outside and get some fresh air. Yes.

This was clearly the best time to window shop in the Cancer district instead of going to, let's say, somewhere more outdoorsy. Like a park. How about it, Kaito? Feel like going to a park?

She laughs a bit. She gets that fairly often. "I'm a lot older than I look." It was a bit of an understatement.

"O-Oh?" He said while pretending to totally get what she meant, but...maybe she was just one of those people who looked young well into their 30s or something.

"Could have fooled me. What's your secret?"

"I'm an anthropomorphic personification. My appearance is mostly whatever I feel like, with some influence from whoever happens to be looking at me." Though she stubbornly refuses to look like a skeleton. Or have a scythe.

"......Oh." There was a pause as he gave her a once over.

"....I can live with that." Well, someone was taking this better than the average person!

"You're familiar with the concept?" Usually she wound up having to explain the difference between gods and anthropomorphics.

He shrugged. "I guess. You mean like Father Time or stuff like that, right?"

"I have six siblings. Orpheus was my little brother's son. His music could move the Furies to tears." THe fact that those circumstances arose, well, that was a mess. Not many people she can explain her actual feelings on that to though.

"Oohhh...wait, Orpheus like in Greek myth?"

"That would be him. Some versions are closer than others." It was bound to happen, over time. Especially with Dream's complicated feelings on all of it.

"Wow, that's...that's really cool!" Now this was almost on par with meeting a celebrity's relative, in a weird, nerdy way, but then he stopped and blinked, as if remembering something.

"Er...not the whole...Maenad thing, but you know."

There's a glimmer of something that might be sadness, but it passes quickly. Yeah, the Maenad thing. It was a long time ago, though. "I warned him it was foolish. He didn't listen. Too much like his father."

But, happier subjects for the total stranger. "He was amazingly talented though."

Yeah, he was much better off going to happier subjects.

"Heh, isn't that putting it mildly? Though I guess you'd have a better gauge of talent than I would." Plus, she was actually there, so that's a bonus.

"Well. I was trying not to sound as incredibly biased as I am." Generally she was a fairly neutral power. There were exceptions.

"Oh, come on! That's the best reason to be biased!" Really, that's why families are a thing in the first place.

She laughs. "Okay, if we're being honest. Every passing creature would stop to hear him play. Even predators who had nearly caught their prey."

"That's the spirit!" That sounded more like somebody from myth.

"So okay, you're his aunt and his dad was...Morpheus?" He was never very attentive when it came to mythology, so he didn't really know that Morpheus had any siblings...

"So who're you, then? Morpheus means "dream", doesn't it?"

Death nodded. Not many people actually knew that version of things. "That's right. I'm Death. Orpheus always called me Teleute. A lot of people call me Didi of late." She pauses. "I've had a lot of names."

"Uh..." Alright bro, calm down. She seemed totally nice! Besides, it wasn't death wasn't a totally new thing to Kaito at this point.

Not to mention that she was totally hot like wowie wow.

"Oh, that's...cool! Hah, I guess I shouldn't that surprised."

"I don't tend to be quite what people expect." She shakes her head. "I'm not sure where people get those ideas. Even at home where I'm the only Death around, they expect creepier."
