Now I face out, I hold out
Who: Yu and you!
Where: Libra Ward, in the streets
When: Any day (except Saturdays) during the night and into the 13th Hour, before the Grand Prix.
Format: Whichever you feel like.
Summary: Yu's getting himself back into fighting form for this tournament.
[As if Yu Narukami didn't have enough to do with his life, between working three jobs to save up for a place to stay and looking after his little cousin, now he's staying up to ungodly hours of the night to train for the Grand Prix. Sometimes he had to ask himself how he did it, where he found the energy to attend to so many tasks at the same time. He had to be nuts; he never drove himself this crazy before he came to Inaba...]
[In any case, until the Grand Prix, Yu can be found in the Libra Ward, not far from his apartment building. During the 13th Hour, he's focused on fighting Shadows, getting himself into the thick of it with Izanagi at his side (and later after a trip to the Velvet Room, his new Persona as well). Yeah, he's getting banged up as a result, but he doesn't care; the experience will be worth it.]
[Before the 13th Hour, Yu is still out, sword slung over his shoulder, staking out a good place to get ready and fight. He's switched back to his katana from Inaba; as much as he liked the beam sword he got on his first day, using his old weapon felt appropriate for this. Until the 13th Hour, he's willing to spar with anyone that wants the practice; after all, these were one on one Persona duels. The best experience would come from combating against others.]
[In short? Come at him; him and Izanagi are ready for all of you.]

[Yu gave a faint nod.]
I realize you don't want to hear it, but... our pasts define who we are. Denying it will only destroy a person in the end.

Of course. All the possible people I could have picked, and it's Mr. All Wise and Knowing. Tch.
*She taps her foot in annoyance.*
Fine. I will throw you this much. This is a man whose power and magnanimity made his own king envious of him. Whose sovereign imprisoned him and tortured him so much that his magic went wild, destroying his BELOVED kingdom and family in one night. He became a madman, only wanting to spread destruction and pain as best he could even when he was sealed away.
*She looks up at Ballos, who seems not to be paying attention.*
...and... he is my uncle.

...I'm sorry.

[He paused, glancing down at the hand he always used to use to crush his arcana card.]
I always viewed power as a responsibility... one that could be used to protect or destroy. Though I suppose even in protecting others, you end up destroying something.

*There's an odd look she shoots Ballos then. If there's any remorse in his eyes, it's not obvious, however -- which is interesting considering it's how she's manifesting him mentally.*
No, pursuing power only causes more problems for other people. I'd much rather tend to my potions. And myself. I wouldn't even be using this thing if I didn't intend on competing in this tournament.

I'll look forward to seeing you there.
