Summary: it's Nik's birthday but he's treating the rest of you.

[This afternoon a blanket message would have went out from Nik to the network. It would have included the address of a typical restaurant in Virgo district - not too cheap but not pricey - inviting everyone out for drinks. He picked a restaurant over a bar so the younger crowd could come and mix as well (and get soda, okay thanks). And the best part - the tab is on him. Not that he's got a ton of money yet, but that's okay just this one time. He hope.

What's the occasion? Nik's turned 29 today. He wouldn't say this via the text, just that an excuse to get out and meet more folks, and maybe folks can talk a bit about this Grand Prix thing. But truth is, he really just doesn't want to sit alone in his apartment and doesn't know a lot of people yet. So it's time to invite everyone at once.

Yes, I am. To be honest, I didn't think anyone would come anyway. Having people enjoy themselves is enough. So be sure to order yourself a drink.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt, would it. *he'll have a look at the things there behind the bar, but he doesn't look certain. He sniffs a little, as though that'll tell him anything other than that they're cooking food in the kitchen back there for someone. To be fair, as he's not human, it actually does tell him a little more. Not much, with his lack of training, but a little bit.*

What sort of things do they have here, besides alcohol? *gonna peek around for the menu*

Ah, I haven't looked, to be honest. I was just here to have a few drinks. Some bar food I think, if wings and fries are your thing.

I take it fried bar food isn't something you have where you're from? I guess I can try to explain.

To be honest, I'm not at all certain I'd know if the taverns in the Citadel did serve things much like what's made here. I haven't been in them much... and I can't eat most human fare.

It doesn't mean I'm not curious about it, though. And sometimes it's for the best... you've had ice cream before, haven't you? *can't quite keep the smile off his face at that question. Guess who's discovered a new favorite thing?*
