Summary: Urataros does some shopping.

Virgo District -- Urataros skirted his way around a merchant's stall, politely declining a woman offering samples of her strawberry-banana crepes. "No, thank you, ma'am. But if you're offering dessert..." He pushed up the dark frames of his glasses, smiling. "I'd be happy to sample you."

And thus it went. He swept onward, saving numbers in his (generously provided) new cell phone as he walked. Now that he was in a different world altogether, he'd have to rebuild his directory from scratch. And of course they'd be doubly useful for the purposes of his new job, which --

Oh, of course. He was here to do some shopping for his new job, wasn't he? A few new outfits, some decor for the club, maybe a few other odds and ends. And if he didn't get to it sooner or later, the shops were all going to close up by the time midnight rolled around.

A shame. A city's night life was its heart.

Urataros smiled. "Yes, something rather similar. Actually, maybe you should tell me a little more about where you come from -- I think that might help a little in explaining things about this world to you."

The attendant came back with several suits in hand; Urataros took them graciously and disappeared back into the dressing room. "If there were nobles, does that also mean there were kings and queens?"

Ahri nodded, her gaze following him as he set off.

"There are, yes. Especially in the bigger City-States like Demacia, Noxxus and Freljord. King Jarvan IV is the current ruler of Demacia... I... don't believe he has a Queen however. As far as Noxxus, the High Command, which would be the equivalent of a King I guess, is called Swain. And for Freljord, Queen Ashe and King Tryndamere are the rulers."

There were other City-States too, but she'd save him the boredom of her continuously talking.

"And you're from which City-State, again?" Urataros asked, his voice floating up from above the dressing room door. "Demacia? I take it you're not a noble yourself."

Ahri laughed, one of her tails moving up to cover her face daintily. "Ah, none. I'm a neutral Champion you see... I was part of the magical wilds until very recently when I was allowed to participate in the League so I don't really represent any of the City-States."

"And I suppose none of them caught your eye enough to garner your loyalty?" He started on the shirt portion of the suit.

"I guess I can see how that life might be alluring. I used to live on my own, but it wasn't what I'd call pleasant."

"Not really, they all had their merits and their flaws. I was never one for the whole she said he said that they seem to throw into their politics. It just seems silly when it's all just different sides to the same coin." she mentioned idly as she played with some of the items on hand.

"Hmm. That's what people say. I'd say relationships are more fun to cast a line out for than politics. But on the other hand, you can get a lot done with a few sweet words."

He'd take this one, too; he set it aside to try the next suit.

"You seem to be well versed in that skill," she teased with a small laugh.

"Makes me wonder if you were this fun and charming back in your world. Sometimes people change depending on their surroundings as they adapt."

"I'm always fun and charming," said Urataros, emerging from the dressing room. "And I'll never change. Well, not much."

He turned with a smile to the attendant. "I'd like to wear this out, please. Would you do me a favor and ring up our purchases?"

Ahri giggled, "Well that's refreshing to know, I'd hate for it to be a phase." she mused.

Curiously though, Ahri followed closely behind. She had heard of buying things but in her world it was certainly a different type of currency so she wanted to know just what'd it be like here.

As it turned out, the process of purchasing something with a credit card wasn't anything that might cause an epiphany (at least for Urataros, anyway). He handed the credit card to the clerk, it was swiped, and there really wasn't much else to it except getting the receipt and placing each of their purchases in several bags.

Urataros picked each of these up. "If I'd known we were going to be shopping for two, I would have brought the DenBird. Let's stop and drop these off first, shall we?"

That was it? All you had to do was use that little card and we could have all these things? That didn't seem like a fair trade, but she figured it was best not to question it!

Ahri smiled and nodded, "Sounds good~ So that means that we get to continue shopping?!"

"Of course," said Urataros. "But first things first. The club is just a few blocks this way." He made his way out of the store, picking his way through the crowd and across the street.

"While we're at it, maybe we can get a few ideas about how to decorate the place. I think you'll like it."

Ahri nodded a bit more excited than she might have usually let be seen, but truth be told all of this was fairly new to the once mythical creature. She was really eager to know and explore everything there was available to her in this new world.

"I'm looking forward to it already."
