Double action [Open]
Who: Urataros and open
Where: Virgo District
Summary: Urataros does some shopping.
Warnings: None.
Virgo District -- Urataros skirted his way around a merchant's stall, politely declining a woman offering samples of her strawberry-banana crepes. "No, thank you, ma'am. But if you're offering dessert..." He pushed up the dark frames of his glasses, smiling. "I'd be happy to sample you."
And thus it went. He swept onward, saving numbers in his (generously provided) new cell phone as he walked. Now that he was in a different world altogether, he'd have to rebuild his directory from scratch. And of course they'd be doubly useful for the purposes of his new job, which --
Oh, of course. He was here to do some shopping for his new job, wasn't he? A few new outfits, some decor for the club, maybe a few other odds and ends. And if he didn't get to it sooner or later, the shops were all going to close up by the time midnight rolled around.
A shame. A city's night life was its heart.

However, something familiar did catch her eye... Well more like someone. A smile spread across her lips as she almost danced through the crowd, turning, twisting and flowing her way towards Urataros.
He would feel arms wrap around from behind and a familiar giggle near his ear.
"Aren't you busy Mr. charmer~" Ahri mused before letting go and moving to face him. "Getting used to the place already?"
no subject
"And what are you doing out here? Not hiding from the Shadows, I'll bet."
no subject
"Exploring! This place is so much different than my world, I want to know every nook and cranny I can get into."
no subject
"...well, that and I need a few more suits to complete the ensemble. Care to come along?"
no subject
"I wouldn't mind, the last stroll we took was pleasant enough~" She mused.
no subject
Then he gave Ahri an appraising look. "Actually, you might make a decent hostess. It pays fairly well, too."
no subject
"Sounds like a really fun place to work at!" she exclaimed before he mentioned the latter part. "Me? I'd love to!"

"I can't wait to see more of this place and shopping seems to be so many talk about often I've always wanted to try it!"

As they strolled along the city streets, they'd run into tons of busy storefronts and people milling about, wearing all kinds of clothes. "Although come to think of it, you can tell a lot about current fashions just by watching the people walking by."
no subject
Ahri so enjoyed people watching and doing so while being accompanied by pleasant company made it all the better. She nodded at his statement, "You sure can~ You can tell a lot about the people themselves by what they wear too."
no subject
He stopped outside a colorful-looking storefront with formal wear displayed in the windows. "You know, I think this might have what we need."
no subject
Ahri didn't wait once he chose a store. She began to drag him along and looking excited. "Good! Then let's go in so we can start this whole thing! I wana see everything I can."
no subject
He touched the fabric of a white dress with a long train at the end. "This looks lovely. Although I think it's intended as a wedding dress."

She caught up with him and tapped him softly on the shoulder. Which was somewhat difficult to do with an arm full of shopping, you know.
"Hey, long time no see."
no subject
He sighed. He'd been so close to that initial thaw!
But, as they were fond of saying, there were plenty more fish in the sea. Urataros would simply have to make up for the difference later. "You're right; it has been a bit of a while. Out doing some shopping?"
no subject
"Yeah, I only came here with school clothes so I was out hunting for material to make something more, I dunno, appropriate. What about you?"
She shifted the bags she was carrying to her other arm before continuing
"How've you been settling in since the mission? Were you as tired after it as I was?"
Persona use sure took it out of her; maybe she just wasn't used to it, or maybe she had done it wrong. Didn't hurt to ask someone else, though.
no subject
He shook his head. "Not overly. I've been in much worse shape before. And besides, I'm used to heated battles." That didn't mean he had to like them, though. "At any rate, there were plenty of people available to help out. I'd send the Anoli a sympathy card, only I don't know their address."
no subject
She's half kidding. It might be a good idea to ask about any hidden bases or something, right? There are a few things she wants to ask him about, though.
"A job? What kind of job are you doing that you'd need a suit for?"
no subject
He gave her a curious look. "It's not that unusual. Plenty of jobs require suits." Salarymen, for example, who were ubiquitous in Japan. Or at least in his version of Japan.

Urataros might spot, in one of the stores, a man in an outfit that might be dashing at a costume party, but looks kind of weird in a fashion boutique. Compounding the issue is that he's standing near a lot of plaid shirts. A lot. He seems to be pretty frustrated by what he's finding, though.

Kurumi giggled a little, waving him halfheartedly away. "Oh, come on. I hate that name. My parents came up with it on the spot when it turned out I wasn't a boy."
no subject
"No, no, no. Man, these are all tacky!"
no subject
She slapped his arm playfully. "Oh, stop."
