Change
The Game is Changed
☢
What: Mictlan
Where: Mictlan
Summary: 2/2/10AC
Warnings: Tentacles and Kandori (not necessarily in that order but thankfully not together)
Note: Only bring one of your characters to the log and if they are fit to go that night. This isn't part of the main event for this month.
It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.
But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.
As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.
For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

Atsuro wasn't in tip-top shape after the events of the tournament, but heck, he would've jumped at the opportunity to finally get a chance to poke around in here even if he were prostrate on a hospital bed. All that remained of his burns were light bandages over the still-healing wounds; physically, a twinge of pain occasionally caused a wince and a brief limp in his steps.
...Mainly, though, they were just awfully itchy.
He steps forward through the temple doors behind the others, already craning his neck to observe as much as he can.
"...Hey, guys. What do you think about keeping our COMPs on so the others can take a look around, too? Get a glimpse of anything we miss?"

Atsuro gives a shrug.
"I mean, it's not necessary, but it can't hurt, either."

Atsuro's reasoning is flawless as always.

Minato glances sidelong at Atsuro as he hears the suggestion. He's just as distracted by looking around to observe whatever he can, but that doesn't mean he's not paying attention to anything the others have to say.
"Let's hope our recording is better than theirs."
no subject
Atsuro throws Minato a wan smile before he takes his own suggestion and turns his own COMP on.
"And... recording."

"The plan is to make this ending different, I think. ... you ready?"

Rather than just, say... Mr. Why would you want to know details Kandori.

That is absolutely ok!

Atsuro spares Shinjiro a glance and casts his memory back to a broadcast he had sent out over the COMP once. ...This Person, as he recalled... from Minako's world, wasn't he?
"We're gonna miss a lot, too - I have a feeling we're not going to be able to examine anything in detail when we're in there. Just to have a record to look back on will make things a lot easier."
no subject
"Assuming this place even stays the same. This place reminds me a place from back home—damn tower never stayed the same. Changed every time you went back into it."
no subject
Shinjiro lived in a rogue-like?Shinjiro lived in a world where something like that was possible? Atsuro's eyes narrow as he considers this possibility."The Mictlan is sort of a tower in and of itself, huh? ...Although I think we're going down instead of up. If it's like that... Geez. There's almost no point in taking notes, then. We'd have to pay attention more to the broader patterns - if there are any."
no subject
Things were bullshit and complicated to say the least, but he shrugs his shoulders. This place still wasn't Iwatodai, for all its similarities, and Mictlan wasn't necessarily Tartarus reincarnated and spread across a cityscape. With any luck, it won't be a thing like it. He would like to know where the hell he's putting his feet, for one. And Tartarus sure didn't have any of those hellish looking creatures, or any of the ornate design work, like someone had clearly decided to put work into its creation.
"But certain things stayed the same. Underground or not, can't say I trust anything this hour spits out. Or that things'll be so straightforward once we go in."

What, no one said the dog couldn't come along! And since he hadn't been injured nearly as much as a few of them had, he'd at least be able to sniff people out if they got lost...
Okay, and maybe burn all the things. He's just excited by the idea that they'd be able to understand him.
no subject
Demon dog!! Clearly this was a diabolical monster sent by the creatures dwelling within to catch them off guard!! The correct thing to do, of course, is to show no mercy and destroy it!!!
Which is why Atsuro reaches down to rub Koromaru between the ears.
"Aw, haha, who do you belong to? Sure it's a good idea to bring something this cute along?"
no subject
He totally is a diabolical and fierce demon which is why he barks again, trying to say he can take care of himself. Though... they likely can't understand him without the COMP text function...
So what does he do? Well, the only thing he can think of on the spot is howl and summon another dog; Cerberus. And what does it do?
Cast Masukukaja.
...Still not sure it's a good idea to bring man's best friend?
no subject
Demon dog aw man he knew it darnit Atsuro falls back a few paces and fumbles for his COMP to --
...........
Oh OK then Agility Up cool.
".........Dogs can use Personas?"
no subject
Fff, did you seriously think he was going to attack you? Because that would be just plain mean of him and not his style
unless your codename is Geneva and he doubts it because Geneva is most definitely a female."Arf arf!" Yeah, he's special.

"What, so we can put together a first person horror film if we get out?" Kazuya grumbled, adjusting his cape slightly. He was going full Demon King here, hell he even had Black Maria flanking him. Just in case. No tentacles were getting him today.
"...but sure, that sounds good."
no subject
"If you keep your mouth open so much, something's gonna fly in and lay eggs."
Thank you for that thought Atsuro.
"I was just thinking we could take a look afterwards for some analysis. Not that I know anything about ancient ruins, but a visual record can't hurt."
no subject
"Unless the space octopus decides to mess with it like the earlier group who charged in here," Kazuya pointed out. "Like, hey, was it even explained why that video was so messed up? You said that the data was actually deleted, not corrupted, so, what if something in this creepy place just eats data."
...if that's even possible. Kazuya's not savvy with data!
no subject
"It must come with the eldritch abomination territory. I mean, you have to establish a certain level of eerieness if you want to be taken seriously - Who's going to be afraid of a monster that can't even make films blurry?"
