The Game is Changed

What: Mictlan
Where: Mictlan
Summary: 2/2/10AC
Warnings: Tentacles and Kandori (not necessarily in that order but thankfully not together)
Note: Only bring one of your characters to the log and if they are fit to go that night. This isn't part of the main event for this month.

It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.

But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.

As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.

For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

Shinjiro's just here to... mostly put holes through whatever eldritch monstrosity they come across. His role is, and has always been, clear-cut and defined, so when Minako takes charge—as he had expected her to, frankly, because she can never keep her nose out of these kinds of things; it's like expecting a fire not to attack would—Shinjiro just does what he usually does and hangs back, listening to what's being said.

"Not going to take the reins, huh?"

Minato blinks at that question and looks sidelong at Shinjiro for a moment before shrugging.

"She already has them in hand." Why try and take that away? Besides, her more forceful personality better suits her to taking charge than his own.

His laugh is short. "Fair enough. Was wondering what kind of leader you were."

And he finds it interesting to compare the two of them—see what type of person his other self had fought under. He knows Minato now, but people can change when situations like this arise. Shinjiro was wondering just what he'd see. For now he sees someone less forceful, but flexible and not as stubborn. It fits with the person that he knows.

He lifts an eyebrow at that laugh, but he smiles a bit. "I guess you'll find out another time. There are enough leaders here already..."

And the last thing they need is a lack of focus from too many leaders trying to lead. He trusts Minako to know what she's doing - after all, haven't they been through more or less the same ordeals?

"Never said you had to be in charge to be one."

"Leaders" are plenty of things. They don't always have to be at the forefront.

He nods at that, knowing what Shinjiro means. Even so, he still means what he said about enough leaders being here already. It seems like this is a time where it's better to follow, all the same.
