It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.

But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.

As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.

For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

"Hah, there's nothing to be sorry about...! I was just a little... surprised." She can probably guess that this is because there are no similarities between the two of them whatsoever. "Anyway, I'm guessing you can do the three-Persona-thing, too? Whatever you call it, it's a great advantage."

Speaking of COMP, he'll fish it out of his pocket and begin to set his abilities.

"...You know... I usually just equip everything that lets me hit hardest, but the tournament got me thinking... It might me more effective to think more strategically. Predict what the enemy might use and counter it. ...I don't know, though - what element do you think eldritch abominations use?"

"It'd be more of one if I could use as many as I used to." Sigh, Philemon... please let her level up again...

"To be honest, I'd say 'almighty.' But the video didn't show anything but them using physical tentacles.

...Maybe they're weak to fire."

She hopes so. It'd be pretty satisfying to burn them.

(...She's not a pyromaniac, really.)

"...Weird." Atsuro stares at his COMP with an uncertain expression. "Don't have Repel Almighty in here. Who'd have thought." He grins at Minako teasingly before tapping a few buttons on the game system.

"I'd take Resist All, but you're right - I don't think being snagged by tentacles is really an attack, per se. Maybe what we need more is to carry around a sharp blade with us.

"Barring that, I'm always up for takoyaki."

Pyromania is never a bad thing.

"Did someone mention food?"

Yeah, don't mind Kazuya elbowing his way into the conversation here - sadly literally in Atsuro's case. Sorry friend, get a sharp, pointy elbow digging into your ribs just because. No reason necessary.

"Or am I..." Kazuya paused, sending Atsuro a sly grin. "Interrupting something~?"

So who's this douche upstanding young man in a party store cape and hipster headphones?

Those are actually some nice headphones, though. She likes her own, but his are pretty stylish. "We were wondering if Cthulhu tentacles are an okay substitute for octopus."

She ignores the obvious implication in the second line. She wants to see how Atsuro will handle it.

The fact that she looks eerily similar to Yuzu means nothing!! Nothing you hear me. Atsuro scowls at his ex-bestie and tries to make something of a recovery.

"Yeah, you're interrupting the set-up screen. Now we've got to go back and reposition the formation."

.......Well he could have done worse.

[belfire]

Kazuya looked suitably unimpressed, and turned his attention to the young lady. Well, Atsuro sure had taste at least! She was kind of pretty! "Just so you know, Atsuro likes computers, 2D girls, and long walks on the beach in Otome games-"

Minako laughs. Then she decides to put Atsuro out of his misery. "I like beach walks too, but usually they're in real life. And with my boyfriend."

She points to a nearby wall, where a tall guy in a long red pea coat and grey beanie is leaning while glowering and holding a large axe.

[otakuro]

Oh.

Shinjiro was her boyfriend.

Cool.

Atsuro has vanished but can quickly be found by following the ghost lights to the corner.

"Actually what Atsuro would like is a new best friend, so..."

[belfire]

"Oh."

Kazuya looked over at the intimidating, scowling guy before turning to Atsuro, who looked like his soul wished to escape to the other plane to escape his misery. Well, they both had beanies? So at least Atsuro was her type! Unless, she was into the, big strong axe-wielding silent types, in which case, alas, Atsuro.

"Sorry, Atsuro!" he called over to him, although he didn't sound all that apologetic. He tried to be your wingman and failed miserably. Next time he'd do better!

He turned to Minako and smiled at her. "Nice choice though. He looks cool," he said, jerking a thumb at Shinjiro. "Now excuse me."

With that he quickly made his way over to Atsuro, and started to try and drag him out of misery corner.

"Um... thank you." Now she just feels bad. She'd intended to let Atsuro (or at least, Kazuya on behalf of Atsuro) down as gently as someone with her personality could be expected to do, but he seems to have taken it harder than she expected.

...She decides to wait and see if the boys will return or not.

[otakuro]

He's less disappointed by the revelation than mortified by the manner in which it was brought about. ...He supposes one had to expect a certain level of jerkassery when one's best friend was a Demon King. Luckily he'd had 5 months or so to get used to the idea by now.

Atsuro will allow himself to be dragged away as reluctantly as possible, though not anywhere close to Minako if he can help it.

[belfire]

"Oh come on," Kazuya was huffing, puffing his cheeks out at Atsuro in exaggerated annoyance. He didn't see what the big deal was! But, considering that his emotions were currently rather detached from a human's, and most emotional reactions were intellectual than, well, emotional...

"I was only joking!" he continued, trying to coax Atsuro back over to Minako - only to pause, "Wait, unless... you were really trying to hit on her?"

...She can tell when someone is doing a terrible job of defusing a situation when she sees one. Minako approaches the boys, hands on hips.

"Atsuro-kun, you don't need to be embarrassed. I'm not offended and it's mostly my fault anyway. And you...." She turns to Kazuya. "Be nicer to him. That's the kind of question you ask when I can't listen in."
