Change
The Game is Changed
☢
What: Mictlan
Where: Mictlan
Summary: 2/2/10AC
Warnings: Tentacles and Kandori (not necessarily in that order but thankfully not together)
Note: Only bring one of your characters to the log and if they are fit to go that night. This isn't part of the main event for this month.
It was obviously a dangerous mission, and hidden away by the cover of the reddish tint of the 13th hour. With most of the city still focused on what had happened during the tournament and the Anoli, there was little question to the disappearing Seven and Wisemen...or if they had noticed at all.
But eventually that would readily turn into questions, and the panic and confusion that could ensue might be dangerous. Thus it was time for a little trip into the temple that once yielded no answers and see what exactly had happened...and hopefully able to stage a rescue attempt. But what did the Mictlan have for them in store, and would they be able to get in at all? It was hard to judge.
As the Visitors arrived, they were ushered into the front doors of the temple in the center of the ghost town. Most of the demons were being kept at bay, in a bid to better keep their strengths and powers.
For who knew what they might need in there...the video had cut off so many times, after all.

AW SNAP
And across from both of them was the composed figure who hadn't fallen like a sack of limbs. He slowly turned around to face the group, making no expression as his eyes passed over the Seven to look at the other occupants of the room. Under his waist-long cape, something shifted- the man resting his hand on the long katana he had.
And yet, he said nothing. Simply watched and waited.
WE'RE ALMOST DONE
"H-hey! It worked! Kichou Asakura has done the unthinkable and traveled thought the cosmos of space and time itself! After appearing like a miracle and saving the Diet Building, the Travelers from the sky carried us over and...wait I need to write this down before I forget it..."
AND WE'RE DONE (Guybrush gets special permission to go first though)
"Lay off, Tae! Don't you think there's a better time for that?!"
He straightens himself up, trying to retrieving his bowler hat from his half-kneeling, half-standing position. "When you said you had a way back, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind..."

Just... give him a bit to unflatten his ribcage, okay?

In other words, all that worry was for nothing.
"So which of you is hiding the tentacles?" she asks.
no subject
"You're lost, now you're found. Time to exfiltrate. Now."
no subject
Yes thank you Miki, that is award-winning dialog and a perfect reaction to this entire situation.

Atsuro sighs to himself as both of his demons vanish. Apparently, there was nothing to worry about whatsoever... And from the sound of their conversation...
"...Seriously, though, is Tentacle Travel the new standard in transdimensional portals or something?"
He points at the three new arrivals. Four.
"...And should we be worried about getting them back through the portal?"

The entire thing turned out to be so much easier than she expected.
"We'd all love to hear about wherever it is you went. And how it is that you've multiplied..."

Ferrus will just sit in his little injured and spectating corner like a rational adult. And watch.
The most useful response to all this.no subject
Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats.
...No really, he simply barked at the SUDDENLY PEOPLE AND CATS (oh and robot, too; for some reason he always included robots under people thanks to Aigis).
"...are you alright?" If anything, he's sort of seconding Miki's surprise. Slightly. ...Somewhat.
Okay not at all, he's somewhat unimpressed except for the CAAAAAAAAAAAAATS.

He says, in response to Palutena's query.

He'd rather have two cats appear out of goddamn nowhere than an eldritch monstrosity any day—and these two are cute little things that had no business being stuck in a place like this. He feels relieved, really, if a bit surprised and the outcome. He's used to things being shit for a long time before any progress is done and things righted. There's still some tenseness in his neck and shoulders, but it's fading as he's given less of a reason to be wary, though he's still on his guard. It might be anti-climatic—no epic battle for the more adventurous types to sink their goddamn claws into—but he prefers it that way. And it seems the lot of them are in one piece, far as he knows, besides a couple of tag-a-longs.
"That's probably it. Can't imagine the government would've just left this place alone," he says in response to Garviel's own reply, though Shinjiro almost stays silent, eyes wandering over to the cats, smiling slightly, before the smile disappears back into a wall of solid impassiveness.

He walked over to where Raidou was an put a hand on his shoulder.
"This is Raidou One-Four. I suppose if you are all here, it means that you knew something had happened in the temple so I will spare you the details. All of us came here after a dream that a door in the Mictlan would be opened. After our...fight with the creatures, we were all teleported to his homeworld. We're not quite certain what happened, truthfully, but it seemed we arrived just in the nick of time." He turned around. "Mister Narumi, if you could so kindly explain what happened..."

Meanwhile, the ca
AAAAAAAAt that seemed to be with him moved to jump up and sit on his free shoulder, ears flattening and making a series of meowing sounds, that only Koromaru would have been able to understand- though it didn't seem that the cat had heard Koromaru in return."Next time, we're taking the express route through the Corridor. None of this portal nonsense."
The summoner gave the briefest nods in response.

Given how confused Narumi sounded, it's likely that they didn't have anything to do with that.
As Q began his explanation, Narumi finally returned his hat to his head, brushing some dirt off his jacket and scanning the new crowd of people with curiosity.
"Right..." He slipped his hand under his hat to grab at some of his hair in exasperation before beginning his own explanation.
"That's Raidou the 14th, actually. We run a detective agency out of the Capital in the Taisho era. I guess that would make us before all this end of the world baloney went down."
He readjusted his hat and continued, turning his focus to the others. "Anyway, we were working a case at the Diet Building-- there was a rumor floating around about monsters appearing in broad daylight, and since Raidou's a demon summoner, we went to check it out.It was around then we ran into your gang in the middle of downtown looking like they'd been hit by a tornado. We helped them out and were flapping our gums for a bit since all your pals got stranded, and that's when the demons showed up.
"Unfortunately for me and Raidou, this little lady--" And here he gestures to Tae with a hint of irritation, "--went on ahead into the building to investigate, ended up getting herself caught right in the middle of it. Q and the gang helped us clear out the civilians and stop the Diet Building from getting wrecked."
"When they told us what was happening in your city, we agreed to give them a hand, and Raidou was gonna help send everyone back here. Of course, then it looks like that's when your friend dropped us all out in a pile anyway."

He simply brushed it off as if it were an every day nuisance. Because really, it was.

"To tell you the truth my dear, we haven't got the foggiest idea. Whatever pulled us in wasn't present when we got out, stayed around with you or come back with us..."
2/3
"Sorry doll, but we've never seen any kind of tentacle monster. Whatever was trying to take your friends for a ride never even so much as made a peep in our city."

Kandori hadn't said or done much during the entire exchange, Guybrush's hand incident included, but now he was standing close to the crystal, stroking his chin.
"A Trapezohedron...although the angles are irregular...guarded inside a temple that only opened after a dream..." The typical smile on his face, he turned towards the others. "Are any of you familiar with the writings of H.P. Lovecraft?"
