Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.

[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
There was still so much cleanup to do. What a perfect time for your HORUS detection systems to start warning you that another group of people were forthcoming.

The device allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and while it was being re-tuned to work with the appearing buildings, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.

Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.

As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.

[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

[Nanako freezes, both cans of orange soda clutched tightly to her chest. If this were an anime, her pigtails would be sticking straight out of the sides of her head from shock. Of all the people she'd expect to come walking up in the middle of the hospital...

...Well, he wasn't very high on the list.]

Adachi-san?

[Sorry, Adachi still isn't over how he's meeting Nanako in a hospital. Give him a second. Man, this place is really messing with him really early.]

Oh, wow, sorry, I really didn't expect... [He pauses, repeatedly going over the seven year old.] And you can even walk?

[Still. Can't. Wrap. His. Head.]

[Nanako isn't sure if she should be backing away right now. She does end up taking one step backwards when he gets close. He is pretty tall.]

Of course I can walk. [That question distracts from the 'Why is Adachi-san not in jail' thought for a moment.]

[Well, 5'9'' is still shorter than Yu, though. Still, to a little girl, anybody would seem tall? Either way, he tilts his head at that. The Amagi girl had acted weird around him too... What was going on here?]

Of...course, yeah. [Only, you can't.] Thing is, the last time I saw you, you couldn't even say goodbye to... [Your big brother, whom I'm blackmailing.] ...Yu. You couldn't even move in general, so it's really confusing seeing you up and around!

[Hey, it's Nanako. He doesn't dislike the kid, and that's saying a whole lot.] Not that I'm saying it isn't a good thing! I imagine your big brother and Dojima-san'd be really glad!

[Nanako may be seven, but her critical thinking skills are already more developed than most kids her age. Everything that Adachi is saying is confusing, but she does get one thing out of it.... Adachi thinks she's still in the hospital.

This would make no sense if she didn't already know that sometimes, people don't remember the things they should. She remembers Yu leaving for the city, while Yu doesn't remember that. So if Adachi still thinks she's sick... And so sick she couldn't walk or say things to people...

Maybe he doesn't remember other things. Like going to jail. That means he's still the person she'd known all year...

But, that's not true either, right? She got sick in the fall, but those people were killed in the spring. He was already a bad guy even if he acted nice. He just doesn't know everybody knows, yet.

...Nanako wishes Yu were here right now.]

Um... yeah! I'm all better now. You don't have to worry.

[You know, if Adachi believed in having relationships and giving a damn about people, he'd sympathize with the kid. He really would. After all, they'd both had shitty parents, and they both had to deal with Dojima. At least he'd never seen Dojima pressure Nanako to have good grades and beat all the kids his parent's 'friends' had, though... That's where the line ended.

Damn it, she was still luckier than Adachi had been.

Adachi should've probably figured a detective's daughter would be smart enough to begin with. He always teased and poked at Nanako, though. It was just his way of doing things. Hell, he even teased Dojima! ...With horrific results.

But, really...something was wrong. How did he bring it up...]

Well, everybody was pretty worried, so it's only natural, right? [Right.]

Oh, hey, I just noticed! You've got two of those cans, right? It'd be a shame if you didn't share one.

[...As a detective, he can't just let Nanako walk away, all right?] Do you mind sharing with me, Nanako-chan?

[Well... she was going to bring the other one back for Yu, or Teddie if Yu didn't feel like soda right now (or maybe the doctors wouldn't let him. Doctors can be really strict about that stuff.) But Adachi seems kind of cold and wet and tired, and even if he's really a bad guy...

Right now he just looks like the same person who showed her magic tricks and drew flowers on her homework.]

...All right. They're both orange, though. Is that okay?

[OH, THANK YOU, NANAKO-CHAN. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Maybe that odd kindness Yu had when he had covered for Adachi also applied to her. At least he wouldn't call her kindness stupid, though.]

That's more than okay. All that walking through the snow made me thirsty for some reason...

[It would be better if it were hot chocolate or coffee, but...]

How about we head to a bench, huh? [Damn ulterior motives.]

Okay. [And she lets him lead them to a bench. She's still acting really awkward though, Adachi, what does this mean...

Sadly acting skills don't run in the family. Or at least, she hasn't developed them yet.]

[Save for women he liked who didn't like him back, Adachi was damn good at reading people. It didn't help he'd been around the kid a ton by the time Yu had left Inaba. Granted, visitation hours were always so odd, and he'd have to go with Dojima, anyhow.

He's silent for a moment as he pops open the can. As he sips, he glances over at Nanako.]

So, I was just wondering... If you're not sick, why are you hanging around a hospital?

[Even if she hadn't been cautioned against it since she was little, Nanako wouldn't be very good at lying. Especially not when Adachi asks her a question point-blank. She looks nervous, but then answers.]

...Big bro got hurt, so I'm visiting him. [she admits, then quickly] But he's doing a lot better now!

[Oh, poor, poor Nanako-chan. Poor, sweet little Nanako-chan...]

Say what? [There were even more people from Inaba here?] You mean... Oh, I heard about an attack, but I had no idea! [Wow, he really needed to find out more about the Anoli...] Wow, I'm sorry to hear that!

[This would be the best place to find out... Direct victims and whatnot, people who know said victims.] But...glad that he's getting better and everything. Oh, and that you weren't caught up in it.

[Nanako nods. It's easier that he already seems to know something about it.] Yeah. They attacked the sports stadium. I didn't go but big bro was there helping people.

[Well, Adachi doesn't know the complete picture... Ugh, what does he say other than him being glad? He picks at the can topper while staring over at Nanako. She does seem pretty okay...] Well, it's better that you weren't, right? I doubt you could've done too much, plus...
