The Search for the Newcomers, Feburary 2013 Edition.
New Arrivals
☯
Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.
[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
There was still so much cleanup to do. What a perfect time for your HORUS detection systems to start warning you that another group of people were forthcoming.
The device allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and while it was being re-tuned to work with the appearing buildings, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.
Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.
As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.
[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.
There is one word that stays with you, however.
Persona.
So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...
[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

no subject
[He crosses his arms, tilting his head slightly with a curious look on his face. Then again, ever since he arrived here, he felt...something. Another aura, like his but not quite. And that, he mused, was the answer.]
no subject
Saiduq.
no subject
...That is not my name.
no subject
[Yamato only had a second or two to bask in his victory before he eyed Alcor with renewed suspicion. This wasn't an imposter... it was Alcor, and no one could mimic his spiritual energy like that. But, a different Alcor...?
...he had heard of there being duplicates, but, no, no he didn't even want to consider it]
How did you come to be here, heretic?
no subject
[As annoying as getting a question parroted back to you was, Alcor wanted to know himself. So much for death, hm? That's no small matter, escaping its claws.]
no subject
[Wut]
What makes you think I would know?
no subject
You have been residing here for longer than I have, no?
no subject
What he was not was a 'heretic'. The introduction of that word was like stirring up a long-forgotten memory, even if he truly had not been removed from those days for very long. And he did not seem to appreciate it, by how suddenly he revealed himself, hovering besides Yamato with an exceptionally stern face.]
You will speak with more respect from now on, Yamato Hotsuin.
[Sure, they hadn't been on very...steady terms, but if nothing else, Saiduq had confidence in himself. His glance softened to confusion when he looked at the other...him. The same confidence probably did not extend very far. But, that was not something he could dwell on at the moment. Not with Yamato present.]
The one named Philemon brings all sorts to this place, seeking aid for the people living here. This is all that most people know.
no subject
no.
no.
Yamato almost twitched when...Saiduq arrived, and he stood there, his back ramrod straight and his arms crossed so tightly over his chest, his fingers were digging painfully into his biceps.
His jaw clenched, and he gave Saiduq a look like he was tempted to slug the star right in the face]
...there are two of you.
[He said with surprising tranquillity]
sorry i hadta tag again real quick
Boo.
not here
...Hmm. Probably nothing.]
no subject
...Hah. It would be best to save that discussion for later, and in private.]
Yes. Unheard of for you perhaps, but not impossible.
[To Yamato. Granted, he wanted to bring up the possibility that there could be even more to come, but he had a feeling that such a subject would not be appreciated. Meanwhile, to Saiduq, he gave a nod, and his expression changed to one of comprehension and slight puzzlement at the same time. A signal that he understood his words, but would also ask him to elaborate later. "Most" people, hm?
He had a feeling that whatever would happen next with the Hotsuin was not going to be pretty, after all. Carrying on two conversations would be...confusing, to say the least.]
no subject
[There was a long moment of silence where Yamato mere stared at Saiduq blankly, like he didn't quite comprehend the strange gesture. He seemed to be taking this entire thing in stride, his gaze moving from Saiduq to Alcor, as if assessing the situation.]
I see.
[Then....
...Yamato started laughing.
Hysterically]
no subject
...we should reunite him with his sister, if possible.
[There was an unsaid promise to explain the situation further to Alcor, since they clearly couldn't now. It couldn't be helped, anyway. For all their spiritual power, the Hotsuins were not exactly the most...put together family. It had taken him quite a while to realize that, but it seemed obvious in moments like this.]
no subject
Indeed. It should not be too difficult to locate her.
[And they both had to apologize to the Hotsuin family for the burden they placed upon them too...hence why Alcor made sure to apologize for it in ever iteration where Yamato had joined them. Still, even he knew that Miyako was probably better suited to dealing with an unstable Yamato than anyone else. Perhaps before, Alcor/Saiduq would have been the one to do so, but that was long ago, and their presences would only anger him further.
...Hah. "Twins" seeking out twins.]
no subject
Th-There is no need for that!
[Yamato sounded a bit wild and on-edge. Proceed with caution Alcor(s)...]
What is needed is, this trick to no longer exist! I refuse to believe that you- both of you, exist! Here! Now!
[Not here]
Tch, the cold is getting to her.]
tags way late like a loser
[Ouch, someone forgot to spay their star before letting it loose today. Still, he's not budging at all, and is looking at Yamato like a bratty child.]
However, I would request you calm down.
[He'll freakin' bust out the status effects, he'll totally do it man.]
totally okay /o/
...Still, he was acting a bit bratty, even Alcor had to admit that. He couldn't quite fault Saiduq for acting like a stern parent in this situation either. So much for the calm and composed chief of JP's...]
If you do, you will realize that this is the truth, not any sort of trickery. Whether you choose to accept it or not is entirely your decision...and yours alone.
[And he will not take that away.]
no subject
In short, Yamato simply...
Just abruptly sat on the floor and pressed his hands against his face, a low noise of pained anguish escaping him.
We are sorry, but the mental breakdown was reaching its peak. You will no longer get any rational or coherent responses out of him for a while]
