Summary: Valentine's Day Shenanigans of Ridiculous Caliber

As dawn breaks on Hinoto-Ri, one might spy a strange sight throughout the city - a red and white angelic robot flying through the air, and periodically coming down once he spots an interesting group of civilians.

"Good day, citizens! My name is Cupidman, and I will be your designated deliverer of love on this fine, fine St. Valentine's Day! In such a terrible world, we all should get along better, and should do the best to ensure this is a fine place to live for your future generations! And, well - those future generations should also be ensured! So I'll just help you take that first step~!"

With that little spiel delivered, Cupidman then fires sparkling pink-and-yellow arrows into random civilians, then takes off to go find more suitable targets.

[ OOC: As mentioned in the mod post, this is a mostly silly opt-in event. Cupidman is shooting people with magic arrows that will cause their target to fall head-over-heels in love with the first person they see for a few hours. Once it wears off, they'll have a hazy memory of what went down - just enough to question if it really happened. If you like, you can start your thread as already having been shot, or leave it open to be shot - just make sure you put something in the subject line if you want interference from Cupidman. If your character is the type who would want to try and stop him from what he's doing, mention you want to challenge him in the subject, but keep in mind that he has to escape to strike again on White Day. Of course, that doesn't mean he has to escape unscathed... ]

[She blinks, conspicuously shifting her gaze to stare at something just behind where Blues is standing.]

[He turned around as soon as he felt something strike him, quite hard, in the back of his neck, but his hand found nothing as he rubbed the spot. What in the world...]

[Doubtful. Ginko keeps surveying the scene, unaware that the angelic robot has already soared over his head, flying the opposite direction from where he's looking.

What he does see, however, is someone he has the sudden urge to get to know better.] . . .

[Ginko might not have seen the arrow, but Orihime did. That would explain the look of shock and horror on her face as she bursts out of the store, dashing straight for Ginko. Anyone getting hit by an arrow...that has to be a grisly and horrible wound, especially in the back of the neck--!]

[But even as she's about to unleash her healing powers, she realizes there's no blood. Ginko is still upright, and rubbing the back of his head as if struck by a mosquito. Orihime furrows her brow. She glances in the direction the odd robot flew off to, puzzled, before looking back at the pale-haired man.]

Are you hurt...?

[Blinking, Ginko answers her with his full and undivided attention.] Ah... Did you see something, just now?

It hurt, but somehow I'm not feeling even a scratch.

[Orihime darts around him to examine the back of his neck, lifting his hair a little to take a peek. Not a single mark remains. How strange. She glances again in the direction of the flying robot, long gone by now.]

You were hit by some kind of arrow. A robot shot you! At least, I could have sworn that's what happened.

[She backs up to properly face Ginko again.]

Natsume's taken to going on walks around the city, as he's been settling in. For the most part, the demons he encounters don't seem to want to eat him for which he is grateful, but it still seems incredibly weird to him that so many of them are visible to everyone. It's nice not to be the odd one out in that respect, but it doesn't really make meeting people and trying to figure this place out any easier (but then again, it doesn't make it harder).

Still, morning walks like this are nice. It's quiet and peaceful in most districts, and little by little he's getting a feel for this city. And this morning in particular, despite the unexpected surprise of chocolates on his doorstep, nothing seems to be going wrong! Just a nice - if a bit chilly - day to wander about.

That is.... until he sees something fly overhead, hears a twang and suddenly --

"Ow! What --!"

A sharp pain stabs his shoulder, and he stumbles forward before reaching over to pull a sparkling arrow out. He stares at it for a moment because seriously what the hell. However, even as he starts to look around for what shot it, he catches sight of a tall, dapper figure ahead down the sidewalk and forgets all about the arrow. It slides from his fingertips, as his breath catches in his throat and he stares at the glorious hat and cape of one Raidou Kuzonoha.

Ah, it's really no-- [Something inside him shuts him up as soon as he feels a hand on the back of his neck. In fact, he's fighting this odd feeling of...happiness, at being looked after like this. Clearing his throat (another odd behavior for him...) Ginko turns after the young woman is done, listening intently to every word.]

...A robot. [Having no idea what a robot was, he makes a note to find out. Some time. ...Whenever was convenient to the conversation.]

I feel fine, to be honest. Thanks very much for your concern. [His tone of voice is entirely sincere, coupled by a warm smile.]

If the case of the missing people wasn't enough, of course Raidou got saddled with the case of Cupidman. After all, he was the Raidou with the Persona and had more to do around Hinoto-Ri, unlike his mirror twin.

He's incredibly focused on his job, but that doesn't mean he doesn't hear the cry of pain or notice that he's being stared at. He approaches him with the intent to collect the arrow nearby as evidence and make sure the person is okay, because there's no telling what will happen.

"Excuse me. Are you well?"

Aaah! Senpai noticed him!

"I, uh..." Natsume doesn't mean to stutter over his words, nor does he mean to blush when addressed, but that's just what he winds up doing all the same. He tries to look away in some sort of deference or politeness or just -- to do something other than gape, but he finds himself transfixed by Raidou's eyes and the way his hat brim casts a perfect shadow over him. But then, at last, he gets a slight grip on himself and quickly ducks his head, as if trying to hide behind his bangs. "I'm - I'm fine. S-sorry."

As Raidou doesn't know this person from Adam, he cant tell if this is an effect of those Charm arrows, or if he's just always like this. But it doesn't hurt to be certain.

"Are you sure?" It's probably a redundant question though, since he knows there's a big chance of him getting a reply in the affirmative. So he decides to follow it up. "Were you hit by an arrow?"

The sound of the scissors exploding gets Cutman to stop, skid to a stop, and for a moment, pant while leaned over - gotta cool those overheated systems a bit, y'know?

Once he looks up, though, he's rather...surprised. He's admittedly not sure about it because he'd never seen Protoman without his helmet, but the scarf, the colors... A little off, but still unmistakable.

"Protoman?! When did you cut in here?!"

WELL. All the hubbub certainly got the attention of their point of discussion, who has came down and is hovering about ten feet off the ground.

"Hark, I hear my name called - Cupid, Cupid, Cupid! And I come to investigate and find..." His expression falls a bit. "...a couple of nitpicking knockoffs."

Protoman? Blues arches a brow at that, because he's never seen this robot before in his life. Then again he hasn't seen many humanoid robots before showing up here, and seeing Rock and Roll through a sky light doesn't count. In fact he almost, almost points to himself and ask if the other robot means him.

But then again, it's not like there is anyone else around here shooting rampaging scissors.

"Uh... since last month?" Not going to correct Cutman on the name, and he may as well give him an actual answer. Cutman might take note that Blues doesn't sound anything like Protoman.
