Summary: Valentine's Day Shenanigans of Ridiculous Caliber

As dawn breaks on Hinoto-Ri, one might spy a strange sight throughout the city - a red and white angelic robot flying through the air, and periodically coming down once he spots an interesting group of civilians.

"Good day, citizens! My name is Cupidman, and I will be your designated deliverer of love on this fine, fine St. Valentine's Day! In such a terrible world, we all should get along better, and should do the best to ensure this is a fine place to live for your future generations! And, well - those future generations should also be ensured! So I'll just help you take that first step~!"

With that little spiel delivered, Cupidman then fires sparkling pink-and-yellow arrows into random civilians, then takes off to go find more suitable targets.

[ OOC: As mentioned in the mod post, this is a mostly silly opt-in event. Cupidman is shooting people with magic arrows that will cause their target to fall head-over-heels in love with the first person they see for a few hours. Once it wears off, they'll have a hazy memory of what went down - just enough to question if it really happened. If you like, you can start your thread as already having been shot, or leave it open to be shot - just make sure you put something in the subject line if you want interference from Cupidman. If your character is the type who would want to try and stop him from what he's doing, mention you want to challenge him in the subject, but keep in mind that he has to escape to strike again on White Day. Of course, that doesn't mean he has to escape unscathed... ]

[Another day in this world, and another day to explore what the city have to offer. Miyako has been checking out the various districts, one district per day.

Today, she's at the Aries district, glancing around at the various shops and stands. What is yaki imo?

Gale had come back on the location of his failure, analyzing what had gone wrong, when he spotted a robot firing at that person he had met the other day before flying off. If he had had his rifle on him, he could have shot it out of the sky. Instead, he jogs to the person." Are you all right?

How disgraceful. She should trained herself more if she didn't notice someone, or something, hitting her in the back.

"I'm fine." Miyako almost snapped, looking up and blinked. For some reason, there's this odd feeling inside her and she didn't know how to describe it.

"That is odd. I clearly saw a robot shoot you." He touches the bridge of his nose with a finger. "What kind of round could it be? There was an impact, yet you are fine."

She straightened up, checking herself for anything out of the ordinary. It's also an excuse for her to avoid his eyes and to distract herself.

"I don't see any remnants of the round on me. It most likely dissipated upon impact."

"That is worrying. Such a round could be used for biological or chemical warfare. How do you feel?" he asked, seeking eye contact.

"I feel fine." She looked back up at Gale, suddenly feeling a little odd in her heart. And she was briefly distracted for a moment. "There...is an odd sensation in my chest, but I don't quite recognise what it is."

This was not really reassuring. Gale looked down at her chest. "Is it pain?" Biological warfare involving heart attacks would be devastating for the general population, including Visitors.

She paused to try and understand what she's feeling. "It's not pain." If it's not pain, then what was it?

[He had been chillin' , maxin', relaxin' all cool, looking for his sister like some dude takin' a cruise in the neighborhood.

Okay, lame-ass rap aside, he's just wandering around when he felt something THWACK him on the back of his head.

And right onto that girl in front of him.]

[Just when she was about to regain her balance, some fool knocked her over and Miyako fell to the ground.]

What--[Wait, someone's on lying on top of her! On her back!] Get off.

A-ah, I'm terribly sorry about that!

[He-he's going to immediately get up from the shock, and actually ran to her front before kneeling down and offering her a hand.]

Are you alright, miss?

I'm fine.

[First something attacked her, and then some fool fell on her (personal space, personal space). Of course she's fine. She looks up at the man and blinks.

Miyako glance at his offered hand and back at his face.]

...Is something the matter?

[His face might be a bit red, but he's still keeping his composure.

And also his hand's still there for her to grab, you know.]

[Did she just stutter? What is happening to her composure.

While she can get up by herself, this man seems polite enough. Miyako met and knew plenty of people who were polite to her, but she's not as bored or irked by him this time.

After a moment of staring, she slowly take his hand.]

[And in a simple movement, he pulled her up just like that.]

Nothing's hurt anywhere, right?

[Because really, he's just concerned about her well-being.

That weird feeling in his heart aside.]

No, I'm not hurt or have any injuries.

[If she did get an injury to require attention, Miyako would use a healing spell.]

It'd take more than a simple fall like that to bring me down.

[he's smiling a bit at this.

[She asks, vaguely aware of feeling her cheeks growing a tad warm.]

[Other than this warmth in her cheeks, she's definitely fine. And this fluttering feeling in her heart will soon pass.]
