I, Lovebot

Who: Cupidman, and all of Hinoto-Ri!
Where: Literally anywhere you want. Note the location in your comment!
Summary: Valentine's Day Shenanigans of Ridiculous Caliber
Warnings: Mind-alteration, ludicrous amounts of sap

As dawn breaks on Hinoto-Ri, one might spy a strange sight throughout the city - a red and white angelic robot flying through the air, and periodically coming down once he spots an interesting group of civilians.

"Good day, citizens! My name is Cupidman, and I will be your designated deliverer of love on this fine, fine St. Valentine's Day! In such a terrible world, we all should get along better, and should do the best to ensure this is a fine place to live for your future generations! And, well - those future generations should also be ensured! So I'll just help you take that first step~!"

With that little spiel delivered, Cupidman then fires sparkling pink-and-yellow arrows into random civilians, then takes off to go find more suitable targets.

[ OOC: As mentioned in the mod post, this is a mostly silly opt-in event. Cupidman is shooting people with magic arrows that will cause their target to fall head-over-heels in love with the first person they see for a few hours. Once it wears off, they'll have a hazy memory of what went down - just enough to question if it really happened. If you like, you can start your thread as already having been shot, or leave it open to be shot - just make sure you put something in the subject line if you want interference from Cupidman. If your character is the type who would want to try and stop him from what he's doing, mention you want to challenge him in the subject, but keep in mind that he has to escape to strike again on White Day. Of course, that doesn't mean he has to escape unscathed... ]

Do you take questions, Mr. Cupidman?

[Tachikoma was out and about in the Cancer ward to see all the gadgets this new place has to offer her. She had her face pressed up to a window when a flying robot appeared and addressed the crowd with its spiel. She turns to hear what's going on, only getting most of the ending of the speech.]

Huh? First step towards what now?

Hurray! And yes, you may have to spell it out.

So then you're helping everyone be nice to each other so things are more peaceful for future generations? Is that what you said? I'm sorry if I missed a bit of it, I was distracted by some of the recording devices over here...

Thankfully she gets the concept, if not the full mechanics of it.

Oh! I think I see! You're making people produce the next generation!

...But isn't that a bad thing? I thought most humans felt a forced breeding program was immoral. Like how many look at the idea of eugenics with disdain. At least when it involves other human beings.

But if you're just following your programs, that essentially just makes you a robot. Are you really satisfied with being that limited?

Plus, what if people don't like being forced to make new people? It might not be a concern of your programming, but how can you ensure the new life would be cared for properly or even allowed to develop if the people involved do not like each other or felt that this whole thing was a terrible inconvenience?
