Ινιθυις Ξασιβυς

♠ ♣ A Game of Chance ♥ ♦

Who: Anyone
Where: Aramid Room
Summary: You enter the Dream World and are given a key. But will you use it? (Note that your character does NOT have to come to this log, the dream only happens for characters you want to come to the Aramid room)
When: Futuredated to the 13th
Warnings: Some characters may have terrible desires. It depends who is there, but this IS the Aramid Room.

That night, you find yourself falling asleep. It does not matter if you never sleep, somehow these things always find a way, if you wish to come here. The blackest pitch and the sound of nothingness is your companions for a few tense minutes; you can try screaming out, but nothing comes from your mouth. But when all seems truly lost...

The first thing you are aware of when rousing from your slumber is the distant, muffled music of a piano.

It coaxes you roughly back to the land of the living, and when you open your eyes - all you can see is a ceiling of pure red.

This is the Aramid Room - or rather, your own personal room within it. The room looks pretty lavish at a glance; pretty flowers, polished furniture, silky looking bed sheets... but when you look closer, you realize those flowers are fake, the furniture is of veneer, not actual wood, and the bed sheets are nylon. It is like a tacky love hotel - hell, even the bed is shaped like a massive heart, with black and red sheets.

Resting on the bedside dresser is a plain white mask, a bowl of apples which never seems to run out, no matter how many you eat, and a small red key. The mask has a little note underneath that says "Please wear when leaving for the lounge, thank you!". There is even a bell for room service beside it - or so you presume in any case, since this place is mimicking a hotel so closely...

As for entertainment, there isn't really much. Just a small television mounted up on the wall, and its remote resting beside you on the bed. If you try the television, all that is displayed is static, except for brief moments of clarity, where it seems just commercials would play - commercials that, strangely advertised for your deepest, darkest desire, no matter how fantastical or illegal it is...

But that's if you wish to stay in the room. You might want to explore, right? If that's the case, all you will have to do is don the white mask and leave. To your right, you will see rows of locked doors stretching infinitely down the hallway you entered into - no matter how long you walk, you'd find them all closed and impossible for you to get in. You could try knocking if you want, but who knows if someone else wants to answer. The stairs to the lower levl will be to your left.

Follow them, and enter the lounge beyond...

▼ OOC : Instructions
Welcome to the Aramid Room. There are but a few instructions here:
▶ Create your posts and if you want others to knock on your door, leave it open. Otherwise, have fun creating the commercials tailored to your desires!
▶ The lower level post will be coming a little while later.
▶ You do not have to play out all the request ends or beginnings. In fact it's encouraged to just use the forms (reply this month for a request, reply the next month saying the request is done) and handwave. However, the mods will be happy to do a reply, if you wish!
▶ To get a new Persona, you go to [HERE] and pick a public persona, then fill out a request [HERE]. NOTE THE EXTRA RULES AT TAKING OUT A PERSONA IN THE ARAMID ROOM, THIS IS VERY IMPROTANT!! Remember, public personas only! You can request a Persona (or two if you are a previous Persona user).
▶ You can requests can only be given to Edgar this month [HERE] and remember you only get one request per month.
▶ You can interact with characters in the upper levels if you'd like, and go to each other's rooms, hang around, have a drink (what is in that drink anyway?) or just talk between yourselves.
The masks makes it impossible to know who the other person is, unless they tell you their names. Even if they are un their underwear. Yes, you are allowed to use a fake name.

She raised a brow behind her mask. As there's no point for her to visit such places, Miyako wouldn't know what a typical love hotel looks like "Correct. I woke up inside one of the rooms earlier."

And watched the television before she forced herself to leave the room.
bondsofsuffering: ([Sleep] So let's disprove)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-11 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Although Hizumi's never been to one himself, he's not so sheltered that he doesn't know what one looks like. "And, let me guess; you're another Visitor who was dragged to Hinoto-Ri?"

It's hard not to suspect. This place has a very similar feel to the Velvet Room, even if its layout and coloring were completely different.

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-11 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
The clan had considered such information unnecessary for her to know. If things went well and her brother stay alive, Miyako would never get a reason to visit them or know what they look like.

She nodded at his question. Although since Miyako haven't went to the Velvet Room yet, she wouldn't know how similiar this location was to it.

"Hm...so it's just Visitors who found themselves here?"
bondsofsuffering: ([Eat] final conclusion or…?)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-11 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
"That's what my theory is. But as you can probably guess, I haven't exactly tested it out yet." He jerks his head to the side, indicating the room behind him. "It reminds me of the Velvet Room, except less... Velvety."

And with that bold description, he takes a bite out of the apple.
capitalbackup: (What is this civilian thing?)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-13 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
She didn't bother looking at his room. It's not any different from her own earlier.

"What's the Velvet Room like, beside 'Velvety'?" Can you guess who haven't went there?
bondsofsuffering: ([Smile] theory of surrender.)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-13 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
"...You must be new here." Even though he doesn't particularly care who it is behind the mask, it does seem like a fun game to try to guess. "Well, anyway, it's a place where we can get other Personas - you know what those are, right? The things that pop out of your head and save you when you're in trouble."

Another cheeky grin. "It's all in blue, and there's a guy with a really long nose there, and some other weird people. It looks a lot like a bar, but if you're underage, don't even try getting alcohol, because it won't work."

Clearly a helpful person, this guy.
capitalbackup: (To live is to...)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-14 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
"If you consider being in Hinoto-Ri for a month as new." She doesn't recognise him, but she doubt he knows her. It's more likely for people to know her brother first, since Yamato was around longer.

"And yes, I'm aware of Personas." She leave it at that. Her own Persona haven't awaken yet, and it's none of his business unless he directly ask her. But hm, getting Personas?

Miyako have her skills and her demons, but she would have to check it out one day.

"For a place that allow you to get Personas, I wouldn't expect it to give alcohol."

Dryly said.
bondsofsuffering: ([Strain] we see everywhere)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-14 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Still newer than most, I'd say. I guess they haven't let us enter the Velvet Room lately, so you really couldn't know about it."

He gives a shrug and finishes off the apple, carelessly tossing the core over his shoulder and into the room. "The place is a bar though. When you go into a bar, it's only natural that you'd think of alcohol, right?"
capitalbackup: (Amused)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-14 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Not lately, huh? That means the Velvet Room only open to the Persona-users under certain conditions.

"That's a normal way to think. The Velvet Room's name didn't imply it's a bar."

Not like she's a drinker. Other than being underage by Japanese law, Miyako knew about how alcohol can impair one's judgement. It won't do for the Chief's double to break character and do something foolish.

"Do you just walk in and ask for a Persona?"
bondsofsuffering: ([Surprise] all the answеrs)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-14 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Pretty much. They've got an entire compendium of 'em. But there's certain rules on it, so don't think you can just go in and ask for a million Personas at your beck and call."

He waves a hand nonchalantly as he speaks.
capitalbackup: (What is this civilian thing?)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-14 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
"I expected as much." Or else it would be far too easy for anyone to get a lot of Personas, or a very powerful one.

"What's the maximum number of Personas can you have?"
bondsofsuffering: ([Sigh] from God or a)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-14 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Counting the one you come here with... Two. Impressive, huh?"
capitalbackup: (Right...)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-14 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
"...Then one would have to be careful about their choices."
bondsofsuffering: ([Look] This reality like)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-14 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, you can switch out the second one whenever you return to the Velvet Room. So as long as you plan for that..."
capitalbackup: (Default)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-14 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
"From what you told me, access to the Velvet Room seems to be infrequent. Planning around it is logical." Knows what to do, how to stick with the Persona for the long term, all that stuff.

If she ever get around to doing it.
bondsofsuffering: ([Smile] Miserable - yes - but)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-15 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Bingo. But it's not like you always have to switch 'em, either. If you just keep using the same one over and over again, it'll gradually get stronger."

He almost adds, 'Like a video game', but he doesn't know if this person even knows about those and isn't about to make it any easier to track him down for the sake of a stupid joke.
capitalbackup: (His shadow)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-17 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
"How do you enter the Velvet Room? By waking up like this?"

She won't be amused if the Velvet Room also have the televisions as well.
bondsofsuffering: ([Excite] With foolishness that)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-17 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
"No, no, they usually have the door guarded. But whenever it shows up, we're graciously allowed entry by the government."
capitalbackup: (Amused)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-18 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"How gracious of them." It would make sense for the government to try and have some control over the Persona-users. The power the Persona-users can wield can be great and destructive, or debilitating, against the law. "I assume it's rare for anyone to reach the door before the government notice it?"
bondsofsuffering: ([Think] out of it)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-18 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
"I haven't heard of any cases, but I guess it's possible? Usually they're the ones who alert us when the door has appeared again and usher us in."
capitalbackup: (Smile)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-21 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
"I see...thank you for answering my questions." Her smile is small and polite, but not friendly.
bondsofsuffering: ([Soft] a never-ending nightmare.)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-03-22 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
Wow Miyako, you need to work on convincing smiles. "Is that all you wanted to know?"
capitalbackup: (To live is to...)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-03-30 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Just give her a reason to be more emotive. "That is all for now. Unless you have questions?"
bondsofsuffering: ([Devil] to believe in)

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2013-04-02 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"Just one! I'm curious - just who have I been talking to all this time, miss?"

There's no way he can force the information out of her, of course. But it's worth a try.
capitalbackup: (Smile)

[personal profile] capitalbackup 2013-04-06 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
On one hand, giving her name would be a courtesy and he did answer her questions. On the other hand, it can be dangerous to give out such information.

"Just a curious, fellow Visitor."
