"Okay!"

Rise stood in front of the imported Junes in Virgo, where she'd gathered whoever was handy and expressed interest in her concert project, or happened to look like they might have musical talent, or looked like they could lift something heavy. She also kept her COMP camera turned on in case anyone else cared.

"Auditions for the benefit concert for the victims of the Anoli attack are here! Wow, I need a better name," she announced. "So far we're doing the concert outdoors here on Friday, so mark your calendars!"

After that, she went to the assembled Visitors. "Okay, who's here to sign up and who's here to build a stage for a good cause?"

[Action - Hinoto-Ri] (The 11th through the 14th)

Rise spent the rest of the week in a flurry of activity highly distinct and, in her opinion, much more tiring from the 'talent' side of things. In this case, she was acting more as an agent, going around town to make sure the concert was funded, advertised, and most importantly, got as much Visitor talent on-stage as possible. It was also probably time to get better acquainted with the Visitor/local relations group Cloche had mentioned...

It was going to be tough doing all this on a simple flat stage, though. It worked in Inaba, but she couldn't help but think another venue would work better, especially for the flashier acts. Maybe something would turn up?

Nikolai would eventually speak up, mostly after everyone else was done.

"Ah. I can help with either, if you like. I'm a guitarist, but if you have enough musicians, I can help with construction."

"A guitarist, huh?" she asks, tapping her lip with a pen. "I'm fine with having you as an act or a helper, but if you're having trouble deciding, how do you feel about a solo performance in front of several thousand people?"

Although his expression is flat as ever, Nik shifts a bit uncomfortably where he stands, clearing his throat. The most he's played for was a few dozen people. "I... have no experience playing for such a large audience, no. But I'm willing to play if someone needs a guitarist backing them up, in a band or the like. Otherwise, I help with setting up. I could do both, as well. Do stage work when not performing."

"Well, I doubt either of the guys I nagged into doing it last time are up for it again, so congratulations! You're my new backup guitarist," she said. "I'll have to ask around for the other instruments, but I'll be sure to get you all together ahead of time..."

Oh wow, just like that? He blinks a bit in surprise. "Ah. Alright, then. Practice would be good, yes. I'm not sure I know any other musicians, but if I find any, I'll let you know."

Anything to get more Visitors on stage, really, unless they were going to completely embarrass themselves. And that's what practice is for.

"It shouldn't be too hard. I don't sing rock music or anything, and if you can't find anyone I should be able to find some locals who'll work with us. As for practice, it's gone to need to be a couple of sessions in the evenings this week. Is that alright with you?"

He nodded. "That should be fine. The more we practice, the better off we'll be. It's been awhile since I've played with a band. Not much time for it back home."

"What did you do back home? Just out of curiosity, I mean."

"I was vice president of a shipping company. It was busier than you might expect." That was part of it, anyway. "I'd have rather focused on music, but... It's not always practical, unfortunately."

She nodded. "That's how it goes for a lot of people. You just get swept up in a job instead of doing what's fun."

She smiled brightly then, and added, "But you can take a break and play your heart out just this once, right?"

He smiled a bit at that, and nodded. "Yeah. I think I can manage that. Thanks."
