Summary: After gathering answers on her anonymous post, Miyako set out to do some hands on research into a number of “hobbies”...with her brother’s help.

Miyako had received a fair number of answers to her questions. She sorted through her notes, circling and crossing out what’s possible and not possible, and brainstorm some ideas from them. By the end of it, she’s ready to do some research and practice on the field.

But if she’s going to help William be more social, and possibly find an hobby, she would need to practice how to actually...well, help someone.

Out of all the people she knew in Hinoto-Ri, there’s one person she can call upon on. With that thought, she typed up a message and sent it.

Meet me in Cancer District as soon as possible.

After meeting up with Yamato and telling him her plans, Miyako forced her brother to come along and aid her. By aid, it really meant help her figure out how hobbies work and which one might be enjoyable to do.

In other words, Miyako’s more or less dragging her brother around the city to try a number of things. The twins can be found in the tech-filled Cancer District, the general shopping area in Virgo District and the artsy Scorpio District. The hobbies they’re trying out range from simple and normal to, well, less common ones.

(OOC: You can ask for a three way thread (your character -> Miyako -> Yamato, or whichever order we’re comfortable with), or just ask for one of the twins in the subject!)

[The question is of course directed at Miyako, and she does feel a stab of pity for Yamato. She had planned to help Miyako from the start, so it doesn't take much more than his words to prompt her.]

Certainly. I'm not sure how much use I will be, but I will do what I can to help.

[Which isn't that bad for her, since Miyako knows she can get away with this.]

Hmm... I'm not so sure he would be interested in the same hobbies as me.

Well... Writing, preparing tea, practicing with the naginata, and... Spending time with my friends?

[Aoi doesn't even notice Yamato's movements.]

[Ugh, tea. It reminds her of when Miyako basically ditch her tea ceremony lessons and have Yamato took her place.]

I doubt tea would be of use for me. [She knows how to prepare them. She just doesn't like it.] But I didn't know you practice with a naginata.

[A beat.]

Yamato, stay. [NO GETTING OUT OF THIS, BRO.]

[Yamato had been on the verge of turning on his heel to bolt away, and he froze, making a small 'gck' of surprise before his shoulders slumped and he slinked back to Miyako's side]

You don't even need me anymore.

I've studied its use since I was a child. Of course, it was only recently that it became useful for actual combat.

The naginata's good for its reach, as long you can work around its shortcomings.

I have a time sensitive experiment with Ideo that I must attend. Immediately.

My Power by itself isn't very well-suited for combat, so my training with a naginata has helped to balance that out. Of course, when I first began training with it, I never thought I would end up using it against real enemies...

[Just sort of... blinking at Yamato, though.]

I don't require to know the details about it. But if I had known about it, I would adjust my plans accordingly and dismiss you earlier.
