July 3rd. Cancer. Water element. Cardinal sign. Ruled by the Moon. Detriment is Saturn, exaltation Jupiter. What of it?

"AHA! Someone who does understands the deep mysteries of Astrology!" Or, you know, could list them good. "Recall if you will that the great beast threatening the city of Hinoto-Ri was created from one of those signs. To banish it, I believe it MUST be done using the primal element that represents your self as the power rod for the other's!"

"That's all well and good, but if you'd been paying attention at all, you'd know that I don't happen to have the means to produce a Water elemental attack."

"...Astrology?"

Xellos is putting on his best innocent and unknowing face, which given that he feels like being a torturous asshole to this damned bull, is difficult, but he manages.

"So we each hit it with the element associated with our birthday? If you need a water effect I suggest opening a fire hydrant. I suspect my plasma rifle will have to do for me."

"Although, if that's what's going on here, I'm left wondering why there are five of us present instead of only four. There are some classifications of the elements that include a fifth, but Western astrology deals only with earth, air, fire, and water. One of these things is not like the others."

"Perhaps as a back up if one of us went down? Magic isn't really my thing."

"In other words, not only do we need to hit her weakness, but the person whose sign element matches that weakness needs to participate," she said.

"I have Skogsra, Ratsel has his plasma guns, and Mr. Xellos has his magic to match our sign elements," she said, "but Ms. Fumi is going to need to be creative. Sora, can your um...summoned elephant creatures do other elements of damage besides water? We'll want at least two attacks of each element as they come up to account for the barriers."

"The only way I can think of to produce a large amount of water would be to have Feng Huang use Bufudyne to create ice, and then Inferno to melt it. The hitch there is that Inferno is an unfocused attack that randomly damages everything on the field, so we're going to have to be prepared to absorb some fire ourselves. Also, that plan - if it works at all - will naturally take a turn of setup."

"Unfortunately, I believe I'm quite restricted to wind, element-wise," Xellos chimes in - he doesn't look very pleased by this fact, either. "As for the fifth... I know nothing of this world's magic, but in regards to that of my own, the fifth of our elemental magics was Spirit. Things that dealt with the Astral Plane."

[OOC: I guess we can pretend his use of ice magic and talk of water earlier didn't happen, since when I did those posts I kind of forgot about the event's elemental restrictions, whoops.]

"No, there's no need for Ice and Fire melting! You're forgetting the power of your own, all-powerful flesh and bone housing your mortal souls!"

"...There's little time left before time returns to normal! Enough with the riddles! Out with it!"

Q's limit had reach an all-time high the minute Orpheus had entered the scene, and he'd let him prattle on enough.

Spoilsport.

"A body is made up mostly of water! You can blow out air with your very lips! Fire can be lit with only the power of a match! You can kick the dirt around you...."

A pause.

"....HAS NO ONE WATCHED THE FIFTH ELEMENT?!"

He'd suspected it before, but now he knew it was true.

Orpheus was insane.

"So you're suggesting that those who can't use the elements right now make them up on the spot."

There was a few precious seconds worth of uneasy silence that followed...

"Q, can you hear me! Blast, our connection seems to have been sever--"

"Oh put a sock in it, I'm right here!" Siiiiigh.

"Right. Well considering how our efforts have been mostly futile, and we're running out of time, I can't believe I'm even agreeing with this it might be an idea to consider. As the creature's current weakness is water, anyone who cannot do it with a skill...might as well try?"

If you guys want to. He wouldn't blame you if you didn't.

Why was this happening.

And what in blazes was the Fifth Element.

[OOC Notice; If you do, PLEASE DO NOT PEE ON THE MONSTER this isn't a Michel Bay Game or Movie.]

"Oh, of course. How silly of me. I'll just go ahead and spit on it, then. That makes plenty of sense."

As much as she's complaining, though, Orpheus' rant does make a certain amount of sense, symbolically speaking. Fumi sighs deeply, squeezing at the bridge of her nose before approaching the base of the Taurus monster's giant foot, working up some spit in the back of her mouth, and letting it fly.

"And I suppose if this doesn't work, I can always try bleeding on it after it steps on me."

"Er...well, if it's the elements, it does make sense to use ourselves and the environment...and I'm probably going to jail for the holding facility already, so I might as well try this..."

Wildraubtier takes off again and circles around to the opposite side of the massive monster from the rest of the team. There, she loads up the same air-to-ground missiles she'd used to blow open the Taurus holding facility earlier and fires a single one at the street, trying to blow open a water main near Taura's feet.

Man she was going to owe the Government a lot of money by the end of today.

Okay, this was just so damn ludicrous that Xellos doubles over laughing like a madman for several seconds, clutching his gut - enough that he's got tears in his eyes.

...well, he's not exactly inclined to go spit on Taura, but perhaps this will work. He vanishes from the ground to reappear instantaneously in front of Taura's face after wiping his eyes, and flicking the moisture in her direction, and then pulling back to the group.

Letting out a breath, the supports of a water tower on top of a building are targeted with Trombe's rifle and a blast of plasma is fired to slice it in half and knock it on top of the monster.

Two things happened at the same time, one terrible and the other, miraculous.

The first was that the giant tail attached to the monster's body flailed wildly and finally found a victim, knocking Sora away from the team. With that single blow, the rocks flew into him directly and violently pushed the keyblader away before the others or he himself had a chance to react. Thankfully as a Persona user, Sora was wasn't about to die anytime soon, simply knocked out, but too far away for others to get him at this moment.

Yet despite this setback, their water attacks combined. Even if it had seemed like a ridiculous idea, and the fact that Orpheus should never be right about anything (even if he was a lot of the times). The four distinct water...maneuvers somehow became bigger and more powerful together, forming a gigantic bubble, trapping the monster inside.

As it tried to break free, it floated up in the air before the bubble popped violently, sending it crashing right back to the ground in a body of flooded water.

Q Couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"That actually worked?!"
