[Game Opening, Part 1 - What Souls Here May Bring]
my hollow ebony stained wood plomps to the floor—
THUD
Eyes open, souls recollect.
The new me, erect.
I make my own decisions, have my own priorities,
have my own thoughts.
No external force taps into me—
Freedom.
- Jana Bielecki
Who: (Everyone OPEN LOG)
Where: (City Hall)
Summary: (You've just arrived in the city. Welcome.)
Warnings: (Intro logs are pretty warnable.)
Style: (The text is in prose, but feel free to write back in action tags if you feel more comfortable.)
They always say the first day on a new job is always the hardest.
But tell me...did those tasks include being taken from your own homeworld, dumped into a city you didn't recognize, meeting a man dressed in the purest of whites with a butterfly mask, to be bestowed the power of Persona, and then having some Men in Black lead you to the city hall saying you were expected?
...
...at least your things are apparently safe in your new apartments?
...
...looks like you might be here for a while.

What a way to start the first of September...

As they usher the last of you in, you realize that they've been preparing this for quite a while. There is a small table with food on the right, mixed cuisine (although the main theme seems to be Japanese dishes). Some strange computer program appears next to you and seems to be translating what you are saying so those before you understand. Language barriers? Don't be silly!
Most of the men ignore you after that. You are expected to mingle amongst yourselves a bit before the main 'show' starts, it seems....

Yamato.
u ok?
no subject
"...hm, no matter. I will found out what this place is soon enough, I suppose."
no subject
"Want some?" It's.
Takoyakiiiiii.
And it's reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaal.
no subject
"..." Well it wasn't like he could die by poisoning again. "If you are offering."
Which means yes GIVE THEM TO HIM NOW.
no subject
no subject
...dying made one very hungry apparently.
Yamato almost looked disappointed when he found that he had ate all of the takoyaki in so little time. "Mm...is there any more?"
no subject
"Yeah, on that one food table. I found some ganmodoki too!"
For a supposedly post-apocalyptic city, they sure did have a nice and familiar spread.
no subject
Yamato decided to stop being a wallflower and reluctantly started to move towards the table where the takoyaki were - expecting Kaito to follow him.
no subject
"...It's good to see you again, dude."
no subject
Sure, Yamato saved Hiro- Kaito, he needed to get used to that - by blasting him out of the way of Tsuutenkaku, but a pained minute of his last words weren't enough to dispel whatever bad feelings may have lingered over their differences.
Truthfully, he thought if he ever saw Kaito again in the afterlife - preferably after Kaito lived a long and happy life - he would understand if the brunet wanted nothing to do with him any more.
no subject
"Well, no, but I didn't...I didn't want you to die, either!"
no subject
Yamato didn't say any more until they reached the food table, where he reloaded his plate with more takoyaki. Once he had a satisfactory amount (read: A LOT), he turned back to Kaito with a somewhat blandly amused expression.
"I suppose it no longer matters. You stated that this was some kind of 'weird city'?"
no subject
Er, well. You know what he means.
"I've been asking around and there were a lot a people who were brought here for whatever reason..."
no subject
"This is somewhat troubling in that a powerful force must've brought us here to fulfil whatever whim it has. Especially if it can bring forth dead souls and give them a physical body once more."
no subject
Like yeah, this doesn't seem like a thing that someone would just do on a random whim! There has to be some really intense reason behind it, right?
no subject
If Yamato was aware of popular culture, he would call Hunger Games shenanigans.
no subject
"I guess they're gonna keep being bored, then. Everyone seems pretty alright to me."

Every time someone is a Negative Nancy about this kind of stuff, something bad always happens!!
no subject
Yamato had a sense of humour sometimes even if it was really weird okay.
no subject
"I miss having a sunny outlook on life, let's go back to that."

Yamato, you set yourself up for that one, come on.
