They always say the first day on a new job is always the hardest.

But tell me...did those tasks include being taken from your own homeworld, dumped into a city you didn't recognize, meeting a man dressed in the purest of whites with a butterfly mask, to be bestowed the power of Persona, and then having some Men in Black lead you to the city hall saying you were expected?

What a way to start the first of September...

As they usher the last of you in, you realize that they've been preparing this for quite a while. There is a small table with food on the right, mixed cuisine (although the main theme seems to be Japanese dishes). Some strange computer program appears next to you and seems to be translating what you are saying so those before you understand. Language barriers? Don't be silly!

Most of the men ignore you after that. You are expected to mingle amongst yourselves a bit before the main 'show' starts, it seems....

"You know him?" The name commanded attention; he'd never heard it before coming to this place, but this guy seemed pretty familiar with him already, at least by his tone.

[deathboss]

"Yeah." He moved a bit away from Aki enough to cross his arms in annoyance. "He's the guy that gave us our Persona powers...well...before I came here. Dunno why he's suddenly giving EVERYONE powers like they've all participated in a massive Persona Game, but I don't like the sound of it at all..."

[risetocaesar]

"Persona game?" Aki questioned. It didn't sound familiar, but--

"I was able to use my Persona before coming here," he went on to point out. Couldn't have any misunderstandings about that, now, could he? "Although it's changed, somehow." He no longer felt Caesar within him, but another familiar presence in its stead. How had that happened?

Really, considering everything he had gone through in the past year, any kind of regression just felt unfair.

[deathboss]

"Same here. Hades feels real different." He tilted his head. "Persona game...it was a rumor we heard as kids. Get in groups and say the words, and you'd be able to see into your own future. Only we met up with Philemon, and he gave us our Persona...for all the good that did."

Seriously, considering that happened, screw that guy.

"I never played any game, but I was approached because of my potential," Akihiko thought aloud, comparing their origins internally. "Some of the people involved didn't mean well at all, and wanted to use the power of others for their own ends. Sound at all like Philemon?" He was curious. Philemon was obviously more than human, and the last thing they needed was someone like Ikutsuki who had power of their own.
