But tell me...did those tasks include being taken from your own homeworld, dumped into a city you didn't recognize, meeting a man dressed in the purest of whites with a butterfly mask, to be bestowed the power of Persona, and then having some Men in Black lead you to the city hall saying you were expected?

What a way to start the first of September...

As they usher the last of you in, you realize that they've been preparing this for quite a while. There is a small table with food on the right, mixed cuisine (although the main theme seems to be Japanese dishes). Some strange computer program appears next to you and seems to be translating what you are saying so those before you understand. Language barriers? Don't be silly!

Most of the men ignore you after that. You are expected to mingle amongst yourselves a bit before the main 'show' starts, it seems....

"I had merely dismissed you as such, but upon further reflection, I have done a disservice in doing such a thing," Yamato admitted. "Although you are not composed or intelligent - you still have seeds of potential in other things."

You know there was some other iteration of him in another time or universe that would be happy that Yamato wasn't dismissing him anymore, but...

"'Seeds'?" Oh o...k.... "Yeah b-but.. you said yourself, I'm not smart or helpful or anything-- you could probably find someone else with better 'seeds'...!"

"On the contrary," Yamato replied, "You have proven yourself to be useful - against Dubhe, you showed initiative by driving that vehicle into it just before it exploded. You also fought valiantly against the other Septentrione," he tilted his head, "your talents are not quite conventional, I admit, but you are still useful."

[hetried]

"Well, yeah, but..." Daichi didn't even know what he was thinking, looking back on the Dubhe thing after all this time.

"That was just luck, you know...!"

Wow that was a stupid excuse, wasn't it. "I-I don't think I'd really call it a 'talent'... or 'valiantly'..."

Even he was slowly seeing how futile this was becoming though.

"There is no need to be modest, Shijima," Yamato said brightly. "It will be no trouble on my part. Of course, the lessons will not start immediately, as I will need to prepare..."

Yeah, it's happening one way or another Daichi.

Daichi sighed in exasperation; well, there was no way getting around it now... maybe he could figure out how to flake out on it later. Augh...

"J-Just... let me know then, I guess..."

[drakenguard]

Yamato nodded. "It will most likely begin next week."

Mmhmm...

[hetried]

"Right... Can't wait...."

Man he already felt tired just thinking about it. Maybe he could talk to Kaito and get out of it somehow....
