But tell me...did those tasks include being taken from your own homeworld, dumped into a city you didn't recognize, meeting a man dressed in the purest of whites with a butterfly mask, to be bestowed the power of Persona, and then having some Men in Black lead you to the city hall saying you were expected?

What a way to start the first of September...

As they usher the last of you in, you realize that they've been preparing this for quite a while. There is a small table with food on the right, mixed cuisine (although the main theme seems to be Japanese dishes). Some strange computer program appears next to you and seems to be translating what you are saying so those before you understand. Language barriers? Don't be silly!

Most of the men ignore you after that. You are expected to mingle amongst yourselves a bit before the main 'show' starts, it seems....

He is imagining a tree full of hornets and babas.

It's a pretty awful tree.

He looks down a little. It's still weird for him...

"I-I'm sorry I brought up something painful to you." He rubs the back of his head. What does he say now? "...why don't I tell you about Skyloft?"

He looks up, grateful for the change in subject. He nods his head vigorously.

[sky_child]

"Okay, well... It's up in the sky. Above the clouds. I actually didn't know what a forest was until recently, when I went to the surface to look for my friend, Zelda. It's...got a lot of trees, right?"

[nofairy]

"... Yeah."

How did you not know what a forest was man.

"How do you live above the clouds, though. Wouldn't you fall?"

"The goddess, Hylia, put it up there a long time ago."

So basically it's magic I ain't gotta explain shit.

[nofairy]

"... So you live on clouds?"

Fair enough, but still.

[sky_child]

"We live above the clouds."

[nofairy]

"... But it's just air above the clouds..."

Isn't it? He's seen clouds move and there was nothing behind them but air. And the sun.

"... You don't live on the sun, do you?"

[sky_child]

I mean dude's not exactly pasty but he's far from having the appropriate skin tone to live on the sun.

"...no."

"... I've only seen the sun and air in the sky."

So then how does it work.

"Then maybe you're from before the Goddess lifted our islands skyward."
