▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

Atsuro was no stranger to monster collection games. You train them, you gain experience, you evolve them into stronger forms. The term 'Digimon' probably ought to have brought something along those lines to mind, but he had been understandably distracted by the zombies from fully appreciating what exactly Digimon was most likely to stand for. ...It wasn't exactly linguistical rocket science.

"...Wow."

Atsuro himself has to back up a few steps to fully appreciate the magnificence of the dinosaur... that had suddenly appeared in the middle of the cramped alley...

"A-Ah, hold on! This is a residential zone; try to be careful."

Keeping track of potential civilian casualties was a holdover from his lockdown days that wasn't likely to fade with any length of time. The number of people he had seen die was already far too many.

"But man, that's impressive! Digimon - is he a sort of computer program, then?"

"Ah, don't worry about it! We're used to this."

Though it had been a ... few years since they'd fought in anything resembling the Human World. But it was why he only evolved Agumon to this level, instead of his higher states.

GeoGreymon gave a loud snarl as the remaining Garbage Yummies backed away, and perfectly into his line of sight. His helmet started to glow brightly as energy crackled in his maw.

"Yeah, I guess you'd say they're ... kinda like that? I dunno, that was always more my buddy Touma's thing, I never really gave it much-"

"MEGA BURST!"

A massive blast of pure energy erupted from GeoGreymon's mouth at that moment, filling the alley in front of him with power which engulfed the Yummies. This also caused the buildings on both sides of them to shake quite considerably.

"-...uh. Thought."

He winced a bit. Okay, yeah, they WERE a bit out of practice fighting in residential areas... "Holding back" was not something you typically did in the Digital World.

"...Are the buildings a lot sturdier or something where you come from?"

Atsuro slowly gets back to his feet after the shaking dies down.

"Well. ...At least they're gone! What do you say about getting out of here before someone comes and yells at us?"

With all the tension between the Visitors and the people of Hinoto-Ri, they'd probably be accused of trying to cause property damage or something.

"After he, er... turns back to normal. ...He can do that, right."

Chouchin-obake floats back over towards Atsuro with a slightly petulant expression on its paper face before the ghost unceremoniously collapses back into its normal state. Atsuro picks the paper lantern off the ground and glances back towards the opening of the alleyway.

"We shouldn't stick around here, anyway... Something could easily hem us in."

Masaru, truthfully, wouldn't have had a problem with something else coming at them. Those things were kind of easy ... but then, what else would he expect from a bunch of flailing mummies, he supposed. And finding out more about this place could be useful... at least to know WHAT he'd be fighting.

Instead he gave a grin, and nodded back to GeoGreymon, who glowed for a moment before he shrunk back down into Agumon. The little lizard raised a claw, shouting happily. "Not a problem!"

As he came wandering back over, Masaru nodded to Atsuro and pounded a fist into his own chest. "Sure thing! The name's Masaru, by the way. Daimon Masaru!"

If the stereotypical character trait of 'hot-blooded' had a definition in any standard Japanese dictionary, it could do worse than to paste a picture of this guy underneath. Still, he seemed competent enough in a fight - the confidence had ability behind it, and there had been some semblance of strategy involved, Atsuro was pretty sure.

The boy does not pound a fist into his own chest given that he avoided drawing attention to his slender frame whenever possible. ...His chest didn't lack musculature so much as it was bordering on concave. He responds, though, with a friendly smile.

"Atsuro Kihara. It's nice to meet you. And your friend is... Agumon, right?"

Aguagu.

"You're doing pretty well for not knowing what a Persona is. I can explain things on the way if you'd like."

There came then, as if on cue, a loud rumbling. Masaru furrowed his brow and glanced back at Agumon, who grinned sheepishly as his claws covered his stomach.

"Hope 'on the way' can include food."

Masaru looked around as they exited the alley, shoving his hands into his pockets. It had been a long time since he'd been in a place that looked at least HALFWAY normal... In better light, that would be extra apparent from his clothes, which were definitely rough and well worn. He had been using them for the better part of a few years, after all.

"Sooo... whose ass do we have to kick?" he asked, sounding more than a little hopeful. "I mean, that's usually the way these 'yanked into another world' things work, right?"

He did, after all, ask from copious experience.

"Er..."

Seeing zombies getting disintegrated didn't do much for Atsuro's appetite, sadly. This was probably for the best, given the negative response he's forced to give Masaru.

"Actually, the rest of the city is under a curfew during this hour. It's to protect the people who can't summon Personae from being hurt by the monsters. ...If he's really hungry, he can have a pack of ramen back at my place."

Atsuro immediately wonders whether or not that had been at all an intelligent thing to say. Talking dinosaurs seemed liable to eat everything in his cupboard rather than a single ramen pack.

"So... you've been in a situation like this before?"
