▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

[Agatha is not sure what to make of suddenly being brought into a new place. All she can do for a few minutes is just look around at her surroundings with a cautious eye. This is not home at all, she doesn't recognize any of the surroundings. A possible explanation is, of course, that magic is involved. It isn't unheard-of for someone to be spirited away; it happened, tragically enough, to the neighbor's son about five years ago. He was returned, thankfully, but he didn't remember anything.

So this could very well be a case of being spirited away by a mischievous or malicious spirit - fair enough. Her kin would likely be distressed, but they'd still be able to perform their duties, so hopefully it wouldn't distress them. However, there's a flaw in this theory the more she thinks about it. After all, if the spirit were mischievous or malicious, why would it land her in a city not dissimilar to her own? .... Well, there's an easy enough answer for that, unfortunately: the idea of parallel universes. It wasn't a substantiated theory, but it had been explored enough in speculative fiction and the like that she had some idea of what it meant: a world similar to one's own, but with some differences.

With her luck, these differences would not be good ones. She shifts her messenger bag uneasily, the scrape of the bag against cloth and bandage making her grimace slightly. Ah, right, she remembers now. Her first priority right now is to find a proper healer to get some of these injuries fixed up. She can't allow herself to be off duty much longer.

Even if she's in a different world, she has to keep going. Keep going, or fall into despair.

After a brief look at the strange statue she arrived near (best to have some point of reference so as not to get lost) - after that, she gets moving.]

[There's someone wandering around near the statue, and he spots the girl. She looks like she needs a heal, so he raises his staff a little and murmurs 'La Repth'.]

[The Cherry Blossom Festival may be over, but someone seems to be enjoying the blossoms anyway. A little boy is running around Central Park in Capricorn, periodically dropping to roll around in fallen cherry petals. He doesn't seem too worried about being in a totally unfamiliar world, but one shouldn't leave children unattended for too long... right?]

[Haseo is not one for big festivals most of the time, so she never did get out for the Cherry Blossom Festival. However, she is still going to school and that necessitates going outside. Also, staying at home is not a thing she does often. Too restless.

So of course she finds the kid rolling around cherry petals. Oh dear.]

Hey. You all right, kid?

[I mean, really, do people normally roll in cherry petals...? Is that a thing?]

Orihime Inoue | Bleach | 13th Hour | Scorpio -> Libra Districts

[Ordinarily, Orihime's in bed by eleven at the latest. She's a fairly early riser, which means she seldom stays up when p.m. becomes a.m. However, in the Scorpio District, there's just too much to see and do. While she was aware that it was dark, she forgot to even so much as glance at her watch, figuring she would start yawning once it grew close to curfew. It's awfully hard to feel tired when chatting with demons and gaping at street performers, however. She's applauding a man painted in silver and standing rock still, coming to life only when a donation is placed in his bowler hat.]

[Then everything turns a sickly shade of green.]

[Orihime looks up, surprised at first, then uneasy. Oh. So that's what Latooni was talking about. Shinjiro had mentioned it, too, but this was her first time actually witnessing it with her own eyes. She looks back down again, only to find that the street performer has quickly vanished, along with his money hat. Probably for good reason, if what she heard about monsters prowling around is true. If those odd keening cries in the distance are evidence enough, then yes, it's definitely true.]

[She backs up two steps as she looks around her, swiftly weighing her options. The fastest way to get back to her apartment in the Libra district is to go across the bridge, but that's supposed to be dangerous. But is it more dangerous than winding through all of the other districts just to get where she's going?]

[After a moment of hesitation, she dashes toward the bridge. The 13th Hour had only just begun, so maybe the monsters aren't there yet, or still too sluggish to be a problem. She knows how to use her Persona now, but she knows she's not well-trained enough to call on it for help just yet. If she has to, she'll rely on her own powers. Whatever's out there can't be much worse than Hollows.]

[The 13th Hour. Atsuro, in contrast, has been waiting out the hours in his apartment, keeping an eye on his clock as the time slowly ticked by. Nap at 8, wake up at 10, play games until 11:30...

At 11:45, he had shut off his game system and collected the belongings he needed for a night of training. He had picked up a new Persona recently in the Velvet Room - ostensibly, the idea had been to defend himself during the Taurus event, but that plan had gone... slightly awry. Given that he couldn't remember much of what had happened that night, it would probably be best, at some point, to get a gauge of its abilities.

He slips on a light coat - even in May, it was slightly chilly at this hour - collects his COMPs, and slowly heads down the elevator. By the time he has meandered out and reached the bridge connecting to the Libra district, a final tick of the clock has announced the arrival of the witching hour. He pauses, briefly, as the familiar transition is made. Despite having lived through it so many times already, there is still a palpable unease that comes with the sheer onus of its existence. Something that would, perhaps, never be adjusted to. Atsuro shifts uneasily in place before holding out a hand. Beside him, something springs to life with a warm glow to dispel the oppressive darkness...

Orihime may suddenly spot the bright, flickering light of a paper lantern from across the bridge.]

What the heck is this?

How can someone go from watching a satellite burn up in the atmosphere to seeing a vision of a butterfly man...before suddenly showing up in a completely new location? And not just any old place, but a city with a blood red sky? Is this...a dream?

Neige would love to believe it is, especially when walking along an innocent street corner brings her face-to-face with a group of lion...men...in suits(???). Yeah. Just. Just that alone is reason enough for her to suspect she's either been mysteriously hit on the head or drugged. The only thing proving her wrong so far is how real it all feels. The adrenaline that hits when she sees the monsters preparing to attack her, the discomfort of falling to her hands and knees in the middle of running before picking herself back up and pushing forward...anyone knows that dreams don't feel quite like this.

Real or not, though, she's not going to just sit around and let herself be torn apart by a bunch of weird lion...men (seriously, what even-?).

Neige has yet to lose them, of course. It'd probably help if she had some idea of where she's even going, but that would actually be convenient, wouldn't it? Unless there's someone nearby that can lend a helping hand, it seems she's going to have to think of some brilliant plan, and fast...

Femi tried to make a point of not being out during the 13th Hour, it often called for fighting and she really wanted to have nothing to do with that. However, she'd lost track of time while she was in the library and only realized her mistake when she stepped outside to see the red sky.

It was quite possible she would have made it home without any sort of confrontation, but then she noticed the girl being chased by monsters and, well, she couldn't just leave!

"Hey....Lion guys..!" Yeah, that was lame. Still, the weird lion creatures turned their attention on her instead...which wasn't all that comforting, but at least she had a defense. A Cat-like creature appeared in front of her and darted out to meet the lion men with a Herculean Strike.

"Hey, um, you! Get behind me!" She almost said 'I guess' but kept it to herself. This wasn't her thing, she barely even knew what she was doing!

Judas Iscariot | Saint Young Men | Libra District | May 9th, 1 PM | OPEN

[Judas is completely confused. For normal people, this would mean approaching someone to ask them something. Anything.

For Judas, though, he does't really want to bother anyone... everyone looks like they're very busy. So, is his plan just to wander around in a daze until someone notices that he's circled the block about five times?

...well, eventually he's going to get up the nerve to ask somebody. It might take a while, though, and it's more likely that he'll bump into you and hastily apologize.]

[And it's a Jedi he nearly runs into, sipping tea from a paper cup. Revan skips a step back just in time, though the abrupt movement still causes her to spatter drops of tea everywhere.]

Whoa there, hey, hi. [The woman looks him up and down, looking more curious than bothered at the spillage.] Are you lost?

The best way to figure out this Persona thing further would be to experiment it for himself. At least, that's what Ryotaro figured, which is why he was now hanging outside just before the 13th hour in the Pisces district, waiting for the demons to appear.

Rise smiled and greeted the older Dojima as she passed by on her way home from work - it was late, but most demons didn't give her too much trouble nowadays with the badass archangel Persona she'd picked up. Most demons.

"Did you decide to start helping out too?" she asked.

Nano Shinonome | May 11 & 12, 13th Hour | OTA

[After a refreshing night spent at the Amagi Inn with some of her best girlfriends, Nano's feeling energized and ready to take on some demons with her new Persona, R.O.B. She's fairly happy with this one, as it's much less immediately scary to her than either of her previous two Personas. Unfortunately, a good half of its attacks are lightning-based, so between that and the ambient storm conditions of the 13th Hour, she's having a bit of a problem staying focused. She could probably use a little backup and some moral support that the lightning is not going to strike and kill her or wipe out her memory.]

[Action; May 12th, 13th Hour; Open to anyone with unawakened Dual Personas with Nano]

[Even though it's near the new moon and the overall monster population is low, it looks like Nano has managed to run into something particularly nasty. She's fighting for her life and doing her best, but she might be in just a little over her head this time. Fortunately, she's got a lot of friends, some of whom might be out and about tonight with their own Personas, willing and able to bail the little robot out of a jam. Right?]

May 11th since next day will be Girls Night yes?

[It was awhile since Yukiko went out during the 13th Hour, not since her collapse on the network and she was taking it easy. It wasn't until she spotted Nano in the middle of a monster area that she took no chances and summoned Amaterasu, unleashing a fire attack.]

Dante | May 10th, 13th Hour | OPEN

13th hour, huh? Dante asked himself as he walked about, noting the red tint in the night sky. Creepy... yet, exciting.

The whole feel of the 13th hour reminds him of home and it's comforting like that. Though he's certain that someone would find him crazy for finding this kind of thing comforting but that's what happens when you're a demon hunter.

You find the crazy stuff comforting.

And he's feeling it to the point he'll let out his Persona, Ares. It's about time he did so, anyways.

Well, that seems to draw in some demons. With a Stinger to deal with crowd control and an Assault Dive from his Persona, he realizes they'll be here for a while.

Not like he hasn't been through worst, though.

After a while, Dante may notice a girl watching the battle from a distance. Floating right next to her was a large, golden clock.

They made no move to help Dante. The girl just watched with mild curiosity.

Until some demons dared to approached her. Flicking a cellphone open, Miyako pressed a button and an iceberg appeared, slamming into the approaching demons. It shattered upon impact, no doubt making a noise from it.

Hoshi Takeda | May 10 & 11, 13th Hour | OPEN

[Since learning of the 13th hour's existence, Hoshi has taken to staring out the window at night, waiting for the clock to strike midnight and watching the changes in the atmosphere to occur. And, on the nights that she's up to it (which is to say, most nights), she springs into action the moment she sees the sky turn red. Holding up a small purple key, she calls out the words that she had been taught by her wolf handler ("Unlock the gate to the prison of shadow!") and transforms in a flash of bright light and sparkles. Gone are her bland everyday clothes, replaced with a bright, flashy aikidogi; her hair, twisted and tied up in an elaborate bun; the key, transformed into a pair of fist weapons. Once the sequence is over, she heads out the door and onto the streets.

She is ready to hunt.

If she is expected to protect Hinoto-Ri, she will do just that. And hopefully, in the process, she can try and get the hang of this bizarre Persona business. All this time, she thought her wolf companion had been left at home along with the rest of her friends - but no, in truth, Hotaru had been with her all along, part of this newly awakened power of hers. Maybe she isn't quite so alone as she thought, after all.

So she stalks through the city streets, looking for a foe she can pick a fight with. And it's a fight she finds, though some are resistant to her dark magic attacks, much to her frustration. Well, at least she can still punch them to death...]

[Punching them to death is totally Atsuro's standard modus operandi, too, although this time around, he needs to train his new Persona. As Hoshi engrosses herself in the fight, she might notice a bobbing light off in the distance approaching...

It pauses a few hundred yards away before picking up speed towards the group of demons. As it draws nearer, it is revealed to be a boy holding a paper lantern - not quite as flashy a demon-hunting outfit.]

[It took a little longer than normal to finish up practice and studying but Sora is on her way back to the Libra ward to get some sleep. After living in a monster-infested place for almost two years, it didn't seem to phase her so much.

Libra Ward: CLOSED to Owen Harper

[There was a reason why she didn't go out on the 13th Hour: all the monsters trying to attack everyone. The monsters in Discedo seemed to be nothing compared to some of the creatures trying to attack her. Such as this little freak coming up from behind and slashing her legs.]

[She rolled down on the ground and winced, losing her rod in the process. Oh great, just what she needed right now. It didn't help that a few more of those creatures were coming out and looking at the woman like she was prey.]

[Owen had been wandering around this godforsaken place for almost 20 minutes now and to say it was inhospitable was an understatement; it was even worse than where he'd just been.

So far, he'd been able to slink around without too much confrontation, that changed when he turned a corner and saw a girl on the ground being surrounded by some freaky-ass creatures he'd never seen before.]

Oi! Get the hell away from her!

[That was the only warning he gave before he started baring down on the things with bullets flying.

Hopefully they'd go down without too much of a fight or without too many more showing up, he only had so many bullets on him.]

[ Eiji spends more and more time out here as the days grow warmer, ambling and taking in the scenery. Frequent visitors to the park are welcome to notice that he spends nearly every waking moment here when he's not picking up a bite to eat in his apartment or heading across town on a slick looking motorcycle on some errand... If he's not homeless, he sure does act like it. It might even get a little worrying, the later the day gets... does he spend the entire 13th hour out here? (The answer is oooooooh yeaaaaaah.) ]

[ If you've just gotten off a light fight with a demon and you used a lightning or a light spell, a little metal bird will swiftly descend upon you to tap you on the shoulder. It peeps a couple of times, sounding both cute and a little distressed. WHAT DO YOU DO? ]

[Miyako did just finish a quick fight with a demon. Or rather, her Persona did with a Mazio spell. Just when she's about to take a breather, she saw the metal bird's approach and hold her guard, watching.

...Only to lower her phone when it didn't attack her. She gives it a curious tilt of her head.]

[Now, when people arrive in a completely different area, they tend to ask around about what is going on or seek out information. And in Zoe's defense, she was going to do that. Eventually.

But then she stumbled across some of the stalls in the Cancer district and she just had to stop and stare. And eventually poke at one of those bright disco light things. Or a phone that kept beeping songs at her. Or any gadget she can get her hands on, really.]

... What on earth...?

[And then she'll later stumble across the arcade which she gives the most confused look ever. What are those things and what are people doing with them.]

Mikale Godono | OC | Virgo Ward | May 12th | OPEN

[ All of this is hard to take in. It was one thing to have such a weird... dream, was it? Where else could a butterfly man encounter take place? And leaving a weird word in his head too. Then on top of that he's in some city that he has never seen before. All of this new stuff being forced on him is unnerving.

So like the consumer culture product he is, Mikale's first move was to find the shopping district.

Bad idea.

He had hoped that the shopping district would be vaguely normal. It would be easier to calm down and think this through if he was in a familiar place, or at least surrounded by familiar products and brands... Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. This shopping district is selling nothing he recognizes right away and has him more on edge. ]

What the heck...? Where am I? Satou? [ Mikale frowns. He can't feel Satou's mind linked to his, which is worrisome on its own. She must be in some sort of trouble if their link isn't working. And she has a record for getting into a lot of trouble...

Normally he's a bit hesitant about this sort of thing. He doesn't like confronting strangers. But the possibility of Satou being in danger is more important than his social ineptitude. Whoever you are, he's probably grabbing your shoulder to get your attention and turn you around. ]

Hey, you! I, uh, have you seen someone I'm looking for? [ Stellar start to this conversation. ] Satou Kuroneko? Have you seen her?

[Nano catches sight of Mikale on her way home from the Ichiban Market with a few bags of groceries she'd been meaning to pick up lately. The sudden shoulder grab seems to startle her a bit, but she turns around all the same, looking only slightly surprised.]

Ah...! Oh, um... no, I'm sorry, I don't know anyone by that name.

Alex Mercer | AU1 | Leo Ward | May 12th | Open

[This was completely insane, nothing like this had ever happened before, clearly he was dreaming. These were all thoughts that probably should have been going through Alex's head, but the truth was shit like this was normal nowadays. Hell it should probably bother him that he's so used to this now, it still doesn't, this is just another day at the office... As far as trustworthy sources go a strange guy wearing a butterfly on his face isn't really up there, but that explanation was probably the best he was getting. He knew for a fact this couldn't be an experiment and he was pretty damn sure he wasn't dead, so that just left the inter-dimensional bullshit. The kind he was used to, so used to that it'd stopped being bull and started being fact.

There's no sense in standing around thinking in circles, what he needs right now is information. Sure he knows the basics but more details would have been nice. A functioning city means people, people means housing, markets, bureaucracy, entertainment, all places people gather. All he has to do is find the centers of this activity and pick out the people who look like they know what's what. Sure he could just question any random passerby on the street but he'd prefer getting as much information with as little interaction as possible. No way to tell what these people are normally like or if there are any familiar faces that have been dragged in too. If it came down to it he could probably take whatever these people had to throw at him should he end up making a bad reputation very quickly, but he'd rather not deal with that. So the less people he talked to the better.

Of course with Alex's luck being what it is he manages to find what is both possibly the most helpful place to be and the place that will be his least favorite. He might not know what it's called, but one look around the Leo ward is enough to give a good idea what it's for. A nerve center of bureaucracy and possibly law, if they practiced that here. For all he knew the courthouse looking structure could just be where they do executions or performed sacrifices to their worm god, or played bingo, whatever, it didn't matter. Either things weren't what they seemed in which case, yippy, status qua maintained, or they were. If they were he wasn't exactly sure he was ready to handle the looming specter of establishment.]

Please, please let it be a ritual hall. [Alex taps his foot while glaring up at the building, sinking back into thought. Maybe he should just turn around and find somewhere less official feeling to scrounge up information, at least for now? Instead of coming to any conclusion though he's going to be standing there for awhile, glaring at a a building and seeming generally annoyed.]

It could certainly be described as such, at least depending on how one intends to define 'ritual'.

[The answer comes from behind Alex, from an oddly-dressed man with a staff who honestly looks like he'd be more at home at a renaissance fair than in a city like this. Strange as he looks, the man appears to be quite amiable, though one might wonder where he came from, since he wasn't among the other people in the area before.]

Lucina | Fire Emblem: Awakening | Virgo Ward | May 12th, 13th hour | OPEN

[ Here's the thing. Lucina came a few moments before the beginning of the 13th hour, where she would have had enough time to go to her apartment. She was nearly going to just get some rest, too - but then in those brief minutes of indecisiveness, it became the 13th hour.

It's almost impossible to not explore the city that completely changes in moments, you know?

So she wanders around, eventually getting herself to the Virgo Ward, and seeing the closed shops, coupled with the silence over the street... it's actually kind of eerie. It's almost like seeing one of the villages back home, only with less destruction - but still just as empty, if not... emptier? Her steps turn cautious, hoping no danger catches her off guard.

Well, until she sees the Black Frost Statue some distance away. ] ... What is that...? [ Time to go approach it, one step at a time.

If someone came up to her right now, she'd be scared out of her mind. ]

[ Being in Hinoto-Ri has been a mixed bag of experiences thus far. When Lucy can actually stand to go outside, she only goes at night, since that's when there aren't any people around. However, the lack of other people makes the larger space of the city seem even larger. It's larger than that station she was locked up in for two years before now, it's probably even bigger than Kamakura.

But she trudges past the feeling of the sky sucking her up into it. She has to swallow the lonely, cold air that permeates the warming spring night. The cold of the 13th Hour, the hour that reminds her she truly knows no one here. If she's going to get used to this place, it's best to swallow such uncomfortable feelings and keep walking.

. . . well, keep walking until she nearly runs into someone thanks to her lack of attention. At the last minute, she throws herself backward a step or two before she can literally walk right into Lucina, looking as if she's stumbled upon a rattlesnake. ]

What are you doing? Stay out of the way.

[ Quite the rude thing to say since Lucina wasn't really doing anything like getting in her way. ]

[Tempo had messed up. Tempo had messed up big time.

She'd taken it upon herself to start her geological surveying project of the city on her own. And in the end, it had helped her. It had helped her a great deal. Focusing on her work, it had made her more content than she'd been in a very long time.

And this time she'd gotten too content. She'd been in the Pisces Ward, and gotten lost in her work. So lost, by the time the 13th hour approached, it had been too late to make it home in time.

The result on Tempo's psyche was typical: She freaked out. She'd managed to avoid the 13th hour the entire time she'd been here.

And sure enough, in her fear and scramble to get back home, she'd attracted unwanted attention.

She was being chased by blue and cyan robots. Why they looked so much like Mega Man, Tempo didn't want to know. She just wanted to get away from them, and the fact that they were firing at her as she ran.

But things went from bad to worse, as Tempo turned a corner and found something new waiting for her. Another machine. A much bigger machine. Tempo stood, gaping up at it in horror...

... before it swung down at her. Tempo may have had armor that was designed for absorbing impacts, but she was scared out of her mind, and taken by surprise. The machine grabbed her, and lobbed her at the nearest wall. She hit it, and slumped down, momentarily stunned.

While she lay there, power began to well up in the larger robot's laser cannon...]

DUG HAUT!

[There was a momentary tremor through the ground that rocketed towards the blue armored pursuers. Then, just before them, the ground literally exploded as several stone spikes made up of the very pavement and earth beneath them erupted from the ground. They served, for the moment, only as a blockade and not directly attacking them.

This was mostly because Lina Inverse didn't know what the hell was going on as came down from a perfectly good dramatic perch, now crouching on the ground beside Tempo with her palm pressed against the pavement.]

Gah, ruined a perfect good dramatic entrance, too.

[She grumbled, standing up and sweeping her cloak aside with one hand, her flowing red hair with the other. She instead opted for pointing dynamically at the larger machine.]

Okay, losers! I was just looking to see who I had to interrogate to find some food, but chasing down and attacking an innocent girl is something Lina Inverse simply won't stand for!

[Lina paused, and glanced back at Tempo.]

Though if you know of any restaurants open at this time of night, I'd really appreciate it~!

Or, in this case, a park that is much like a field.


She's arrived, but she hasn't woken up yet. So what now? Will you try to wake up the weird girl in the park? Get her to safety before the 13th hour hits? Ask her why she's wearing a ridiculous robe? Go for it. ]

[aaaand here's Tharja. As if inter-dimensional kidnappings (or invitations to some game of pawns) can keep your stalker away.

She hurries towards the prone woman faster than Frederick could ever get her to move, but the sense of urgency dissipates as soon as it's evident that Robin's not actually hurt.

What to do? Wake her up? Probably, yeah.]

[Inigo's exploration of the immediate area surrounding the apartments -- with its plentiful shopping stalls and boutiques -- had been going smoothly...if not a little uneventful. Everyone (read: every girl) he approached to ask about everything ranging from butterfly masks to possible locations of familiar faces ignored him, continued on as if he wasn't there with barely a glance, let alone two words beyond something that sounds like "not now."

Not that it'll stop him. Someone's bound to succumb to his...charms?

No matter. Despite the bustling activity, he's standing in the middle of the pathway, alone and trying to flag down anyone -- man or woman. It's quite depressing, really, his desperation. If not a little pathetic.]

Hey there...! Pardon me!

[Fortunately for Inigo, this particular girl doesn't ignore him. She is, however, right in the middle of eating - there's a takoyaki stand close by here that she just can't resist visiting - and so when she turns to face him, she has a mouth full of food. She does politely swallow it before speaking, though.]

Robo doesn't know how he got here. All he knows is that someone is getting fired. Standing in an unfamiliar city, right near the remains of some building, he looks around for someone to ask about this.

Of course, the first thing he sees is a few ugly creatures coming out of hiding to greet the newcomer. Robo doesn't need to be a genius to know what's about to happen. When animals growl, they probably mean business. When they happen to look like lab grown monsters, then he's not going to take the time to see if his armor plating is stronger than their teeth. He's not pleased with this situation at all.

"Why can't I land in a dimension with soft, harmless, bunnies? Why?"

"Okay, never mind. Just do me a favor and smile."

He charges the first one, hoping to take out one before the three of them overrun him by drawing back his fist to smash a lion face as hard as he can. The angry animal sounds coming from the chimera might alert others in the area to what is going on.

[Fumi works in the Leo ward, and often pulls rather late nights. Tonight happens to be one of them. So as she's making her way out of the JP's headquarters building during the 13th Hour, intending to fight some demons along the way, she catches sight of Robo fighting the group of chimera.]

My, how impressive.

[She's standing just across the street, arms folded and just watching for the time being. He seems to have things fairly well in hand for the moment.]

[Taro blinks in surprise as he wakes up in a place that is very much not where he was. For one, he feels alive. Then again, he could just be in some sort of afterlife.]

[... In which case, the afterlife is awesome. He didn't think that there would be so many bars. He stands up, and starts walking around, grinning at the various demons.]

Hey guys. What's up?

[He's pretty easily spottable - he's got that wide-eyed tourist look. Some information might be nice, but for now he's happy just to sightsee. ... He'd get a drink, but he has no money.]

"Aniki, I'm hungry...!"

That moaning from Agumon was certainly something Masaru was used to, but at the moment it was the furthest thing from helpful. Certainly, being yanked away from his journeys in the Digital World was not in and of itself unusual - it had happened before, and he took that much in stride. The last time it happened he'd had a little bit more direction on just what he needed to do, though.

So at the moment, he was wandering around this area, hoping for ... something to give him a good idea of just what it was he needed to do. As it was, his head felt a little foggy - he had seen something coming in here, but...

He stuffed his hands in his pockets, grunting as he and Agumon rounded a corner down an alley.

"Join the club," he finally said back to his partner. "But first we need to know just what's-"

There was a rattling of trash cans ahead of them, causing both human and digimon to stop in their tracks. There were forms down they alley slowly moving towards them. Shambling, unsteady forms that moved much like one would expect from creatures in your atypical zombie movie. There were several of them, and upon noticing the pair, they began to move straight for them.

Agumon blinked a couple of times, before a vicious, fanged smile washed over his face. "Aniki, they don't look too friendly."

They also didn't look like digimon, Masaru noted briefly to himself, but that didn't matter much. He gave a sharp chuckle and pounded one fist into his palm. There was a very audible sound of his knuckles being cracked.

"Nope! Heh. Just what I needed to pass the time...!"

"Hm..."

This was what, the 4th night or so in a row he had been out during the 13th Hour? It wasn't as if he had nothing to do during the day; staying up so late certainly didn't do him any favors at his job. But the same restlessness saw him wandering the streets aimlessly each night, and by the time he realized he had missed the curfew, it was usually too late to get home without running into at least a few enemies.

He carefully makes his way back towards his apartment in Libra, a paper lantern in his hand illuminating the way forward. Striding quickly past an alleyway, he suddenly pauses, backtracks, and squints into the shadows.

"...Huh. Zombies. ...That's new."

Yarne | Fire Emblem | Scorpio District | May 13th, 13th hour

[This is it. He's going to die today. Yarne thinks that a lot, but today? Today is definitely it. He's only been in this strange place a few minutes, long enough for the world to...shift before his eyes and for the sky to bleed red, not unlike the many nights he's seen the sky on fire before.

But he's all alone. This isn't good. The first thing he does, as a timid rabbit, is find some higher ground to get a better view of the town. With no one around, he climbs to the top of a long flight of stairs...only to realize, once he's at the top, that they drop straight down. Who would build something like that?!

Naturally, when he's turned around, there are demons waiting at the bottom of the stairs for him to come down. Once he's safely turned around, he sits himself firmly at the top of the stairs, refusing to come down. Anyone passing by will be able to see an unfortunately dressed rabbit-eared man yelling (quite loudly) down at a pair of demons he can't even make out clearly.]

I'm not coming down! Why don't you come up here?! I-I'll show you just how strong a bunny is, okay?!

[Really, all he's doing is make the playful demons laugh. Oops.]

[aaaand here's some dark magic sucking the life out of one of those poor demons. And some giggling.

Geez, it's kinda hard to tell which one is worse, Tharja or demons.]

Lucy/Kaede | Elfen Lied | May 13th - 13th Hour | Pisces District

[ Most people would go out to get groceries during the earlier hours of the day, not when it's past bedtime. They especially wouldn't stay out during the time officials were herding people indoors. But Lucy did her shopping before the 13th Hour drew near, and none of the food in the paper bag in her arms needs immediate refrigeration. She can afford to stay out for a while. After all, what's the most that could happen in an hour?

She's also out so late because she wants to test this "persona" thing she's heard about. She's even seen it on some nights. She's seen a couple people here and there summoning creatures to fight the monsters that roam the dark streets, and considering she was given an Evoker when she came here, it only makes sense to her that she might have one too.

It's ridiculous to consider, but why not test it? If the Evoker thing doesn't work, she'll just go back to that apartment and feed Lily before attempting to go to bed. She holds the Evoker near her temple, as those at that infernal government office (which she had to drag herself to visit) suggested, and it's just in time as a small collection of demons come together further down the street. She can test this on them, then. Perfect. ]

...Persona.

[ There's no bullet, only a click, but she still flinches slightly as she "fires" the Evoker. At first, it doesn't seem like anything happened, though swiftly enough, her whole body feels tingly and alight as if with a painless fir. Looking behind her, she sees the statuesque form of Kali, with her necklace of skulls, cobalt skin and many limbs, staring down at her dispassionately.

She can't even manage a squeak. It worked. ]

First time summoning?

[Had that kid always been there? (No, he hadn't he had just snuck up nearby when she seemed too occupied to notice, although it's hard to say whether or not she did indeed miss his presence entirely.)

He's armed, with what appears to be a sword sheathed at his side and even a revolver on the same hip, but he doesn't seem to be prepared to use either of them at the moment; he's just perched daintily upon a wall, his elbows on his knees and his face cradled in his hands.]

Soma Asman Kadar | OU | May 9, early afternoon | Virgo District

[Anyone happening through the Virgo district this afternoon may be in for... somewhat of a surprise. Because there, right in the middle of everything, is an elephant very casually tearing bits out of a nearby tree and eating them. Just like it belongs there.

And on its back is one Soma Asman Kadar, dressed in a very high-end school uniform that looks more like a suit than anything, lying sprawled out on his stomach and draped over the elephant's back like a blanket. It looks for all the world like he's asleep, but upon closer inspection, he's actually quite awake. And whining to himself. ... and, periodically, to the elephant.]

I don't get it, elephant... This doesn't even look like England, let alone the school.

[It must be fate or bad luck - it all depends on whether you are Ciel or Soma. Regardless, once Ciel sees the elephant, he correctly surmises who must be on its back.

Things are about to get far more interesting than Ciel likes. But what else is new for Hinoto-Ri?

After the prank Zoroark pulled, Kotoha has decided to get out of her apartment and spend some time wandering around the wide open plain of the Capricorn District. Behind her is a massive six-winged moth, trailing after her obediently.

The two of them seem to have been taken by surprise by the 13th Hour, gazing around at the changed landscape curiously.
