Omnia Mutantur Nos Et Mutamur In Illis (Newcomer + 13th Hour Log)

▼ All things change, and we change with them (13th hour & arrival log)

Who: Anyone
Where: The entire city
When: May 8th - May 14th
Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log
Warnings: That depends who is there. Remember to mark your titles clearly if any warnings need to be issued!

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

▼ Extra Long OOC Blurb

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

DON'T FORGET TO TAG WITH YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME PLEASE.

Whatever it is, they'll regret their aggression this night.

A sound occurs between Neige and the lion-men, a noise like something that fell on the ground, noticeable enough for the runner to look behind her. Should she do so, a form of grayed yellow, as much can be seen against the red in the sky, stands in front of the pack facing them. The act alone made the lion-men give pause to the chase, now affronted by the figure before them.

"... Tch." The owner of those sounds had preferred to let the other Visitors fight their own battles for a while since the Taurus Event, but he was noticing new faces unable to properly defend themselves showing up around this time of the month. The wrap of his body straightens from the fall, revealing a dark helmet with red and white protrusions. A hand shifts out of the shawl in the same movement to produce a short and white rod, and with a flick of a finger later it produces a shaft of translucent green light, forming a triangle spade instantly and illuminating his features.

So, Neige, does this person look familiar to you?

[personal profile] badass_reporter 2013-05-10 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Familiar? Try shocking enough for Neige to almost forget that she's being chased by creatures you'd only see on a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon show.

Yeah, she most definitely turns around at the sounds, and the sight of someone new standing between her and her incredibly bizarre assailants is enough to make her stop running. But not even lion men are more surprising than the person she quickly recognizes in front of her. That helmet with that hair are unmistakable, doubtlessly. But it can't be...can it?

"Z...Zero?" Neige sounds just as surprised as she looks right now, and for good reason. Is it...really him? If it is, then how in the world did he survive Ragnarok? And what is he doing here? (Actually, better question: what are either of them doing here?)

Well, sticking to the immediate situation at hand: if it is him, then she's in luck. A few suit-wearing lions are no match for the Reploid who saved Area Zero countless times. At least, they shouldn't be...right?

The Reploid turns his head toward Neige as his body stood forward against the lion-men, surprised to hear his own name. Few people in Hinoto-Ri were able to immediately connect the name to his identity outside of certain people within the government... so who was she?

The attention didn't last long however, as one of the lion-men roars out, "Become one of us, in the name of Tar!" Zero refocuses on the lion-men, just in time to see the speaker's eyes turn entirely red. Faced with a split-second decision and Neige right behind him, Zero chose to stay put and prepare himself for the attack, not having enough time to set up the Shield Boomerang. The eyes launch beams that land on him as he raises an arm to attempt blocking the path of them, enveloping him in a reddish-pink light for a few seconds.

... The light fades, leaving Zero unharmed. Nothing happens, but he realizes that his internal systems were being attacked; repeated attempts would end differently. Immediately afterward, the red warrior dashes to the side, distracting the other lion-men to attempt catching him with their own eye-beams. His Z-Saber turns orange-red while he jumps off the ground, barely escaping the second set of lasers, landing on the side of the building as his body begins to glow green, and then jumping off of it a split-second later, escaping the third set.

His glow changes to orange as he descends on the pack of humanoid beasts. "Hyah!" a roar of his own yelled out as he began to release his charged power, the raised Saber swung down with his raised arms to emit a plasma shock-wave that engulfs all three of them in blazing fire. The lion-men panic, their fur erupting into flames, and run off with many feral sounds to find the nearest water source to dunk themselves into before they become burnt exotic meat.

The blond fighter merely stands there, letting their assailants run away without further pursuit. Even if he wanted to finish his work, he had other things in mind, de-powering his Z-Saber and holstering it before turning around to silently address the red-headed woman. There are quite a few things he could ask, but he chooses to say nothing for now. His head tilts very slightly, staring at her without any other greeting, as if to ask, "... And you are?"

Of course, Neige watches the entire thing like a kid seeing their favorite superhero take down some bad guys. There's a certain thrilling excitement that comes with it. She firmly believes that there's no possible way for Zero to lose, yet when he's attacked, her heart can't help leaping up into her throat for a moment anyway. Ah, but of course, he dispatches those lion men without any real problems, as expected. (It's only then that Neige realizes she should have been taking pictures of the event. Dang. Too late now.)

That's okay, though; her rescuer turns to silently address her now, and it's time for them to...catch up? Or at least figure out what the heck is going on. Why is Zero staring at her like he's never seen her before, for starters? She returns his stare for a moment before she smiles a bit and finds her voice again.

"Zero?" If she sounds a little uncertain, well, she's got good reasons for it. "It's good to see you again. I mean, I thought you were..." Dead. But she stops herself from saying that out loud, even if it's written on her face.

Zero continued to stare, not changing one bit in reaction to Neige's statements, though the fact that her words carried enough of a french accent to be rendered... something he was used to, didn't escape his notice. Was she someone from his past that he had forgotten, or simply someone that only lived in the same world as him at the time?

His body shifted as Neige finished, letting her have the chance to continue. With silence filling the air however, he let out a sigh. No, he couldn't recognize her. Was it more of his amnesia? And the way she looked at him... reminded him a bit of how Ciel always worried about his safety. This look however carried something dire to it, almost like she's seen a ghost...

Soon after the sigh, a sound beeps, much like something out of an over-the-top stealth-action cinematic game, and Zero shifts his focus away from the woman, touching a spot on the side of his helmet to allow for a clear blue visor to sheen over his eyes, turning his head to address the incoming call. "... Yes, COMP-signal source located. ... Understood." The visor retracts back into nothingness, and he turns his head back toward the newcomer, saying, "I don't know how you know of me, but it's not safe here." He continues without allowing her to react, "Are you able to defend yourself?" If he caught on to Neige's meaning earlier, he certainly isn't showing it.

[personal profile] badass_reporter 2013-05-27 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
...Neige had expected the brickface stoic expression, at least. (In fact, it would have been more surprising if he'd shown any strong emotion, honestly.) What's the sigh for, though? She can't seem to read it too well. Does he know? Does he...not know? She wishes he'd explain. Even Craft, who'd smiled about as much as Zero, hadn't been quite so cryptic.

Before she can ask for clarification, however, a sudden beeping sound interrupts their conversation. Neige waits for Zero to finish his brief side chat with whoever just contacted him, then becomes hit with mixed feelings when he answers her concerns without prompting. So he...doesn't know, then. Doesn't even know her. Maybe...his death had come with amnesia? Or just--why would he not know?

She holds her tongue, though, for Zero's following statement is true. If those lion men are any indication, the two of them better get moving quickly, save the chat for later. Even so, she can't hide the disappointment in her smile as she answers his question. "Not quite," she admits, "I didn't exactly come here with any weapons or anything. But I won't slow you down, I promise."
