Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

[Taro blinks in surprise as he wakes up in a place that is very much not where he was. For one, he feels alive. Then again, he could just be in some sort of afterlife.]

[... In which case, the afterlife is awesome. He didn't think that there would be so many bars. He stands up, and starts walking around, grinning at the various demons.]

Hey guys. What's up?

[He's pretty easily spottable - he's got that wide-eyed tourist look. Some information might be nice, but for now he's happy just to sightsee. ... He'd get a drink, but he has no money.]

[And eventually, it'll be next to impossible to miss the sight of a certain penguin-headed club owner as he makes his way outside for some fresh air and to check up on things outside.]

[Eh? Weird! Not a sort of demon he's met before. Maybe he's from one of the other branches. He heads over to say hello.]

Hi! How's it going?

[He might as well put on a smile. New start in the afterlife, and all.]

Goin' great, thanks for askin'. 'Specially great since I don't gotta answer any stupid-ass questions about why I've got a fuckin' beak for a change.

[He heaves an amused belly laugh. Rare is the newcomer who doesn't immediately remark upon that.]

[He raises his hammer up to point at the sign.]

Ah, awesome. I'll have to come back when I have some money...

That ya will. No freebies in this place. But you come on back when you've got a little jingle in your jeans, and the girls'll show you a right nice time.

How do you make money around here? I mean, in terms of start-up capital. I don't think my bank account transfers. Come to think of it, I'm gonna have to find a place to stay...

Unless I don't have to sleep as a dead guy. But I probably do.

Head over to City Hall. They'll get ya all situated. You prob'ly don't know it yet, but you've already got a nice cushy government subsidized apartment an' everything. And from one dead guy to another - yeah, you still need to sleep.

Eh? Really? That's pretty awesome. Not having to pay for housing would really help lighten my workload...

[Thievery can't pay all the bills at once, after all.]

The accommodations ain't exactly what I'd call four star, though.

Nope. There's all kindsa weird shit walkin' around here, an' nobody seems to bat an eye.

[He looks around. He looks at the demons walking the street for a minute, and then looks back at DeDeDe himself.]

[In a blink, there's a much shorter creature standing in front of him.]

That's good to know.

I usually only get to do this in safe zones in the Underground. Sometimes.

You'd fit right in where I'm from. 'Course, that place ain't what it used to be.

Don't really matter much where. It's gone, and it ain't ever comin' back. And neither am I.
