Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

I'm going to ask you how you did that. But first...

[Seeing as how her crab got the one's attention, Robo crouches and then leaps over a dozen feet into the air. Landing solidly on the one he was beating on before he got rudely interrupted. Bringing 500 pounds of force down on it's back.]

You seem capable of handling the rest on your own, now that this one is distracted with me. But here.

[Fumi's Persona glows briefly, causing light to briefly wash over Robo as it casts Rakukaja to raise his Defense.]

That should help you guard a bit better. As for this one...

[Speaking of the one she's fighting, it's lashing out at Fumi with its claws. As they impact her flesh, there's no damage at all where they land.]

...Hm. Impatient, I see.

[He kicks off the back of the one he landed on to run at and shoulder check the other before it has time to choose it's opponent. He drives it several feet back and into the nearest wall with all his momentum.]

Hey, watch out!

[Only, nothing happens to her. He grabs the horns of the one he has pinned, pulling away from the wall. He tugs the thing towards him as he walks backwards before twisting, dragging the thing along the ground until he got the thing off the ground.

Once he has the thing off the ground, he gives it a throw at the one that hit her.]

Heads up!

[Fumi spends another moment or two watching Robo before sidestepping the pair of chimerae, now lying in a heap at her feet.]

Let's finish this.

[Once again, Fumi's Persona reels back with its claw, slamming it down hard into one of the prone chimerae.]

You're all open. Think you can take them both out at once?

Ha!

I'm not an expert on other dimensional biology, but most things fall down when I hit them.

[He notices the wall isn't even cracked from the impact prior. He shoves off of it and charges, this time not aiming for one in particular.

He lunges past them instead of colliding with them, both arms outstretched. As the things are trying to stand, one arm clothes lines a lion face, the other fist smashes right into a goat head. Robo knocks them both sprawling along the street.

He curb stomps one that tries to move for good measure before turning to the girl that helped him.]

I think that's it. Now, how about you do me a bigger favor and tell me what did I just hit?

Just because I think the explanation and labeling is bogus, doesn't mean I don't think they exist.

It looks like I have a lot on my plate though and bad science is least of my worries.

Large violent creatures modeled after the signs of the western zodiac. So far we've seen Scorpio and Taurus, and I have reason to believe Sagittarius may be next. The appearance of the monster seems to be preceded by citywide behavioral disturbances among the populace corresponding to the relationships between their respective signs.

So, big themed monsters. Sounds like I'll need bigger guns.

It certainly couldn't hurt, though I would also advise awakening your Persona as soon as possible.

I don't think so. Not until I get a better handle on just what they are, I'll do fine without it.
