Omnia Mutantur Nos Et Mutamur In Illis (Newcomer + 13th Hour Log)

▼ All things change, and we change with them (13th hour & arrival log)

Who: Anyone
Where: The entire city
When: May 8th - May 14th
Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log
Warnings: That depends who is there. Remember to mark your titles clearly if any warnings need to be issued!

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

▼ Extra Long OOC Blurb

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

DON'T FORGET TO TAG WITH YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME PLEASE.

Femi's smile may have been quick to return, but Neige's smile was quick to vanish as the explanation went on. The location and century certainly did matter, though hearing which ones they were specifically just threw her back into a state of total confusion. "Hold on a second! That's--that's impossible!"

And half man, half lion creatures aren't? ...Okay, good point, but it was a little easier to believe in hybrid creatures than it was to believe that she'd time traveled. Such technology wasn't possible - or at least, not yet. Was it?

"...I mean," she started again, "That's centuries behind what it should be, right? I was just in Area Zero..."

Area Zero? She definitely didn't know what that meant. However, she could sympathize with the whole 'wrong time' thing. She shrugged and her hand absently went to the spot on her arm where the time travel chip was embedded.

"Is that some place outside of the United West?" She really should have been paying more attention in school...or at least traveled more in her own time. "I mean, I don't know about you, but I'm from the 28th century so, yeah, seven centuries is a bit behind." Although, she'd only been in the 22nd century when she'd been pulled here, did that have anything to do with it?

Who knew.

Tw-twenty-eighth century...? Neige looked even more confused than before, somehow. Assuming this girl wasn't just pulling her leg - which, hate to admit it, seemed rather unlikely from how matter-of-factly this girl was explaining everything (and the fact that Neige was here at all) - that meant that not only had both of them time-traveled to get here, but this girl was from even farther ahead than Neige in the timeline. (In that case, it made sense that Femi wouldn't recognize the name 'Area Zero'; perhaps in three to four centuries' time, that place would have become a formal government with a new name...)

"I don't know," the baffled journalist answered after a moment's pause, "if this isn't some crazy fever dream I'm going through right now, then you're just as far ahead of me time-wise as this place is behind." Fever dream - that sounded like a nicer, more logical explanation for all of this, yes. Neige shook her head. "Sorry if I'm a little skeptical, but I don't get how any of this is possible."

Well, that was a relief to hear; for just a moment, she'd been afraid Neige might be from her time period and the last thing Femi wanted was someone from home showing up here. She kept her smile in place, though and offered a bit of sympathy in it as well. "Trust me, I wish I could tell you this is all a dream and you'll wake up where you're supposed to be soon enough, but I've been here nearly six months now, so I'd be lying if I told you that."

She looked around at the red sky and the city it was under. It really wasn't safe to linger here, and she could feel Bastet's unease at the fact they weren't moving. "Um..I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions you have, but we should really get somewhere safe; there's worse things than lion men around here."

What? So Neige, too, could be stuck here for six months, or longer? No way... She needed to be helping the people of Area Zero and Neo Arcadia! She couldn't just be stuck here for that long. Plus, how was she going to explain being here to her friends? The only person she knew that would ever buy 'I was stuck in a weird city filled with animal-men' was little Typhon, and even he would probably find that story fishy. Ciel, Rafale, and everyone else? Forget about it.

As Femi was quick to bring up, however, all of those worries could wait when they were both still in danger, technically. "Ah, of course," Neige said, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed. Wow, that was rather foolish of her, wasn't it? Getting so caught up in asking questions that she forgot their current situation. Regardless, moving was definitely important here, so she stuffed her worries away for now and gave the other girl a firm nod. "Lead the way, then."
