Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

Oh no! Nikolai-san...!

[Nano hurriedly switches to Pinocchio since it's the only Persona she has with a healing spell, but instead of a healing spell, a very different effect accompanies the arrival of the little puppet instead.

Time seems to slow around Nikolai and Nano, both of their Soul Personas glowing with a white light as they begin to resonate with one another. There's a momentary bright flash, and once their eyes adjust, there is a new Persona there instead.]



W-whoa...!

[Nano's noticeably surprised, but seems to get the hang of what's going on rather quickly. This has happened to her once before, after all, so it doesn't take her very long to adjust.]

We can do this, Nikolai-san! Here, let me help!

[KITT springs to life at Nano's command, the red flashing light on the front of the car oscillating back and forth as the engine revs up: Employee of the Month has doubled his Attack, Defense, and Agility.]

Wow it sure did. Okay. Nik has no idea what it means, but for now, he's just going to roll with it. Questions later. Time to drop Poorly Kept Secret on this thing.]

... Strong against physical attacks. This is a problem.

We'll just have to do our best! This Persona looks a lot stronger than ours.

[And now it's time for some Legitimate Business. The random number gods have smiled upon Nano and granted her a non-attack-reflecting result of 92. With another loud revving sound, a panel in the hood opens up to reveal a gatling gun. Several rounds are fired into the Cerberus monster, which rears back with a loud roar.]

Keep going! If you can hit it again, I think we can do this!

[Of course, it's not just going to stand idly by and let them do that. Seeing that Nano was the one who ordered that last attack, the dog creature angrily pounces at her, claws flying. Nano shrieks but stands firm all the same, and the damage she would have received is reflected right back at the creature. Thank goodness she gets to keep her Soul Persona's resistances while the Dual is out.]

[Good, because otherwise Nano was going to get knocked out of the way while Nik took the hits. But he's strong against physical, so it wouldn't have been bad either way.

Time for some Vicious Strike. No Fear is cast, but it's a hit.]

[This time, Nano takes out her Velvet Room Persona. R.O.B. appears to lend a hand, its eyes flashing as a debilitating light washes over the Cerberus. The creature growls, now somewhat shaky on its legs and moving much more sluggishly.]

Hit it again! I slowed it down for you! It should be weaker, too.

[From what Nik understood, most of what his Persona could do was weak against this creature. But maybe whatever Nano did helped. So using Christine, he unleashes a Bash attack against it.]

[And finally, down it goes. Nano sighs, slumping down to her knees.]

Whew... we did it!

[Their Dual Persona, no longer needed, disappears.]

[Nik lets out a deep breath, but shows no other sign of fatigue or stress. He does offer a hand to Nano, though.] Are you alright?

Y-yes, I'm fine.

[Nano nods, but accepts the hand up anyway as she slowly rises to her feet.]

You should be more careful, taking on such large demons on your own. Even though it's early in the cycle, sometimes they can surprise you.
