Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log

▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

The Taurus monster had come and pass, as had Golden Week. The city was rebuilding itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new oppertunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safey, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside during the next few nights and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little momento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefull anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independant log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona, but not in the same thread and the same day, IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES 1) The creatures have to be in the Beastary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

Yarne | Fire Emblem | Scorpio District | May 13th, 13th hour

[This is it. He's going to die today. Yarne thinks that a lot, but today? Today is definitely it. He's only been in this strange place a few minutes, long enough for the world to...shift before his eyes and for the sky to bleed red, not unlike the many nights he's seen the sky on fire before.

But he's all alone. This isn't good. The first thing he does, as a timid rabbit, is find some higher ground to get a better view of the town. With no one around, he climbs to the top of a long flight of stairs...only to realize, once he's at the top, that they drop straight down. Who would build something like that?!

Naturally, when he's turned around, there are demons waiting at the bottom of the stairs for him to come down. Once he's safely turned around, he sits himself firmly at the top of the stairs, refusing to come down. Anyone passing by will be able to see an unfortunately dressed rabbit-eared man yelling (quite loudly) down at a pair of demons he can't even make out clearly.]

I'm not coming down! Why don't you come up here?! I-I'll show you just how strong a bunny is, okay?!

[Really, all he's doing is make the playful demons laugh. Oops.]

[aaaand here's some dark magic sucking the life out of one of those poor demons. And some giggling.

Geez, it's kinda hard to tell which one is worse, Tharja or demons.]

[Well. This is really it. Maybe he can just sit here forever and Tharja won't notice him...this is definitely the worst-case scenario. What if she wants to use his fur a spell or something?

Yarne decides it's best to be quiet.

... ... ...

For all of five seconds, anyways. Tharja probably won't hurt him. Maybe. It's better than dying, at any rate. While she's attacking some of these demons, he's just going to carefully make his way back down those stairs...]

A-are they gone yet?!

[yay_danger]

[looking up at his approach. Oh. It's you. She can respect your mom, but you? Not so much.]

Maybe. No thanks to you, of course.

[and she starts walking off. Follow or not, she doesn't care.]

[Every instinct--rabbit, taguel, human, or otherwise--is telling him to run the opposite direction as quickly as he can. But he's not tearing up yet, so he stands there awkwardly before following after Tharja.

Noire is usually nice, so maybe this won't be so bad...? He shivers a little as he recalls those demons.]

H-hey! Wait up! Thanks, Tharja! I...uh, really owe you one. [Oh, god, even that sounds scary.] ...Where are you going?

[yay_danger]

[glance back] I'll keep that in mind when I need something from you. [smile. And it's not the reassuring kind either.

Pressing ever onward.] Back to Robin.

[though it looks like Tharja wanted to check out the 13th hour biz and might be taking the roundabout route]

Hngh! Y-yeah! You do that...[Or forget entirely. Either is nice. Actually, forgetting is preferred, if the look of horror on his face is any indication.

...But wait, Robin is here? His ears perk up a little.]

Wait, she's here, too!? [Wait. Wait, wait...] ...Uhhh, where are we, anyways? Have you figured that out yet?

[deadpan look. Of course Robin's here. There would be a lot more indiscriminate hexing if she wasn't.]

The city of Hinoto-Ri. They call us "visitors," so I would assume this is not a permanent change.

[He misses that look because there are demons around and he's too busy yelping at them and cowering behind a telephone pole.

...Don't worry. He catches up.]

How did we get here? I don't remember asking Naga for anything like this...this is another world, right?

[expansive shrug]

Have you ever seen buildings such as these? [or even telephone poles, for that matter. Whatever those are.]

...You mean in the future? Nope. We don't have buildings like these where Noire and I come from. They're pretty much the same, just more...destroyed.

[Yes, distract him with questions so he can't cower.]

Then I'd have to say we're very far from home. [physically and/or temporally]

[Well...even he'd already figured that out. It's probably not best to say that, though...]

Huh...y-you think so? You said Robin was here. Is everyone else here, too?!

[doesasordered]

[Well Nikolai does go out on the 13th hour, and is assuming this guy needs help. But these demons are pretty harmless...

Newbies might not know that though. A man approaches, giving the demons an icy glare, but he speaks to Yarne.]

Do you want assistance?

[He does want help. More than anything. But from his perch, it sure does look like this man is friendly with those monsters...]

N-no! Go away! I won't let you take me!

[doesasordered]

...I'm not going to take you anywhere. I was going to get rid of these things.

[It's just a pair of mostly harmless demons, or at least they are as far as Nik can tell. He's armed and he's got a Persona, so he's not too concerned.]

Unless you'd rather stay up there.

[bunnyboy]

Seriously? ...You're telling the truth, right?

[The demons still continue to do nothing except laugh at Yarne, but he's not too keen on the idea of coming down these stairs...]

...Can't you make them go away first?

[doesasordered]

Yes.

[Nikolai doesn't mess around, and he really doesn't like demons. At all. He simply walks up behind one of them, picks it up roughly, and throws it out the emergency exit door near the stairs. It tries to protest and squirm away, but Nik's pretty strong. Holding the door open, he points out the door while staring down the other one.]

Go.

[And it sure does. It scampers off out the door and after its friend, as Nik closes the door.]

Not all of them are as dangerous as the others. It takes some time to learn. You can come down now.

[bunnyboy]

[Okay...this is getting way too weird. First there are random staircases going up, and this place is filled with random doors that...just seem to open at random? He's tried a few himself, but they didn't open for him, like they were decorations.]

This place is too much...I almost died there for sure! I could feel extinction right behind me!

[But he's made his way down the stairs. That's a good thing, right? And he's only half-terrified of Nikolai now.]

Thanks a lot! I don't know what I'd have done if you hadn't come along!

They would have turned and run had you tried to scare them off. But that won't work on most demons.

[Nik only gives a short nod.] You should get back to your apartment. They won't follow you inside.

[bunnyboy]

R-really...? It's that easy? ...But they were so scary looking! I've never seen anything like those, aside from Risen and dragons...

[And maybe himself. He is kind of a furry guy, after all.] ...W-wait, I have an apartment? Here?

[doesasordered]

They're strange-looking, yes. Most of them are. Some are merely pranksters while some are downright bloodthirsty. It's best to keep on your toes during the dark hour.

[Oh. Wait.] You should.... Did you just arrive? [Don't mind him while he takes out his comp watch and checks the newbie radar.]

[bunnyboy]

How can you tell the difference? Those demons looked like they were going to kill me for sure! But you just talked them away...

[This guys is definitely strong. Yep. Yarne is just going to listen to him completely.] ...I think so. I've been running around for a while. There's a lot of gaps in my memory...because of the danger.

[doesasordered]

Experience, I suppose. And now you know as well.

[Nik nods. He gets it now.] Let's get you to one of the apartments, then. You'll be safe there until the hour ends.

[bunnyboy]

But...you're a human. Maybe they really like hunting Taguel! They could still be dangerous!

[He nods. Yes. That sounds like the best course of action.] Just get me out of here. Please? I don't care where it is as long as there's nothing trying to kill me.
