A Wild Trainer Appears!
Who: Kotoha & Various
Where: All over!
Summary: Kotoha's out and about, riding all around the city
Warnings: Kotoha is ridiculous.
[Virgo Ward] OPEN
Kotoha's pretty well settled in by now, so it's time to go shopping! She's wandering around the shops of Virgo Ward, Arthur in tow to act as a pack mule. In Kotoha's token nod to staying low-profile, the jackal-like Pokemon is wearing a pair of black sunglasses.
Currently, she's in Junes, leafing through a copy of the first Junes Invasion book and giggling.
[Cancer Ward] OPEN
A remnant of Atomic Robo's memories has stuck with Kotoha, and she's interested in exploring the possibilities - which is why she came to Cancer Ward. Currently, she's in a small hobby shop, looking over a selection of airsoft guns while Arthur waits outside, still wearing his sunglasses and loaded down with bags. The Lucario has his arms crossed underneath his chest spike and is leaning against the outside wall of the shop, visibly bored with the entire process of waiting.
[Capricorn Ward] OPEN
Lunchtime sees Kotoha in the Capricorn Plains, enjoying a pre-packaged sandwich and bottle of iced tea she picked up while Solar Logos and Tesla fly overhead in a mock dogfight, creating a brilliant light show - the Volcarona releasing torrents of flame which the Magnezone deflects with shining lasers and jolts of electricity.
[Leo Ward] CLOSED TO

It's a few minutes before the 13th Hour, and Kotoha is waiting in front of the JP's Headquarters with what appears to be a sea lion of some kind, one hand resting on the creature's shoulders.
[Libra Ward] CLOSED TO
electricyousei (forward-dated to June 2)
Kotoha spent quite a while picking out the perfect outfit for her date - not as casual as her normal combination of culottes and black stockings, but not super formal either. She's currently smoothing out the plaid skirt and fussing with the hair ribbons while waiting for Ruri to show up at the small park they agreed to meet in.

Deep breath.
"'Love & Battles 3: Battle At The Amusement Park'. It was, uh...really terrible."
And now she is warming to her subject and relaxing a bit!
"I mean, really, really bad. The big twist wasn't that the boyfriend had somehow survived with amnesia, it was that they were both dead the entire time. Literally the entire plot hinged upon ghosts somehow getting amnesia and forgetting they had ever died. Ghosts do not work that way!"
Kotoha throws her hands up in the air in exasperation.
"And of course it's the third-highest grossing film I've ever done. Brought in nearly a billion in the first week, and it's still doing DVD sales."

Man, humanity, you are not gaining any respect from her here.
no subject
"Still, it was kind of...oddly lovable, I guess? Even though it was dumb, it was kind of a plucky sort of dumb. And, you know, I have to give it props for not being a soulless cash grab, just a labor of love that was tremendously bad."
Kotoha closes the copy of the Junes Invasion she was leafing through.
"Stories like this have a weird kind of charm, I guess."

"If I got offended at things just for being bad, I wouldn't have made it very far as an actress, you know?"

"Besides, like I said, this is so amazingly bad it folds in on itself and becomes charming. It's like...it's like a Granbull, you know? It has that kind of 'ugly cute' feel to it."
A pause and a wry twist of a smile.
"Plus I bet half the fanbase is like middle-aged romance-starved soccer moms, which makes it even more like a Granbull."

"This is a Granbull! Soccer moms really like them, for some reason."

"For the most part, yeah. There are some really neat ones, too!"
A pause as she places the book back on the display and tabs out of the Granbull entry on her Pokedex.
"Would you like to see some of them? I've got data on like five hundred of them stored in here!"

"Oh, I just thought of a good one!"
She hands the Pokedex over to Shura, showing a strange, lamp-like creature and several lines of text.
"This is my star sign, actually!"
The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on.
no subject
"That's a lot more like a demon than an animal! I like it. You have a nice, creepy sign!"
no subject
"Ghost types are kind of like that. I have a few I train just for fun, actually! Hold on, lemme look this up..."
The next one she shows off is called Yamask. She holds it up long enough for Shura to read the text before passing her thumb over the corner of the screen to the next one.
Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.
"Okay, this second one is what Yamask evolves into."
The name is apparently Cofagrigus.
It has been said that they swallow those who get too close and turn them into mummies. They like to eat gold nuggets.

"Yeah, when the right conditions are filled Pokemon will get stronger."

"That's how it works most of the time, yeah. I've got a couple of Pokemon that evolved in different ways, though."
A wave at her sunglass-bedecked jackal friend.
"Arthur over there acts tough, but he's actually a real softy - a Riolu won't evolve into a Lucario unless it trusts its Trainer completely."
The jackal, meanwhile, is just staring at Kotoha in a way that says 'I can't believe you just said that.'

"He likes to pretend he's a big tough guy, is all."
She casts a glance over at Arthur.
"I could show her your ba-aby pictures~, if you'd prefer?"
He hangs his head in response.
"...you win."

"Yeah, he just prefers not to, most of the time. It's kind of a game, now - if I can annoy him into speaking, I win!"
Arthur's cheeks puff out as he pointedly looks away, pouting. Kotoha glances at him from the corner of her eyes and smiles.
"Still, he's loyal, brave, and kind, and you can't ask for more than that in a friend, right?"
The Lucario's ears flick at this, and he scuffs at the floor with one paw in a way that suggests pleased embarrassment.
