Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!
Warnings: Probably none.

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

[ Loken briefly blots out the sun near fumi, his voice a basso rumble even as he pitches it to be soft. ]

You don't really do relaxation, do you?

[ Asks the man who almost never removes his armor except to bath. And he is... huge, up close, and even without his armor bulking him out. The overdeveloped musculature of the Astartes in plain view, as well as multiple input points for his power armor to engage in direct interface poking out from his flesh at various rubberized bumps on his arms, chest, and back. ]

[Fumi glances up, raising a single eyebrow at Garviel's augmented form. She's not checking out his bulging muscles or manly manliness at all, but rather the cybernetic interface ports. His question does evoke a short, light laugh from her, though.]

You're one to talk.

[ He notices the difference. He's had people examine his interface ports before with curiousity, and it always makes him feel as though he needs to explain that he isn't, in fact, a monster. ] I suppose not. I just find it interesting an unaugmented human is managing this level of dedication without any real rest. You have a valuable mind, and I would prefer to see it not burn out.

I get plenty of rest. But while I'm awake, I like to maximize my productivity.

[ He is quiet, then asks about something they've discussed before. ] Have you managed to figure out what is going on with the fear that afflicts us at various months?

Unfortunately, no, although I am fairly certain of when the next such incident will be occurring.

Do tell. I'd prefer to be prepared. Forearmed is forearmed, after all.

The next incident, based on the current pattern and a bit of speculation, should occur between late November and the end of the year.

And if the pattern is anything like before, I'll probably be out of my mind with fear.

[ He scowls. ]

I suspect is worse for someone who is unused to fear due to psycho-indoctrination and surgical alteration to suddenly fear it, because I don't think I have the coping mechanisms that an unaugmented human might.

[ Not to mention a terrified superhuman who is strong enough to smash tank armor is just bad news anyway. ]

Not necessarily. We don't know what the effects next time will be based on, after all. The pattern involves only the signs as they progress through the related mythological tale. Each of the actual outbreaks themselves have been related to different qualities of the signs.

...But for your own good, you may wish to take appropriate precuationary measures around the holidays.
