Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

[Nano happens to be walking by the adult pool and toward the snack bar when all of this happens. She lets out a surprised yelp as Simon splashes into the pool, but then runs to the side to lean over and see if he's all right.]

A-are you okay?

[By the time Nano gets to the poolside, Simon's hoisted himself to get his head above the water, and grasping onto the edge while he coughs out water. On the actual solid ground, however, is a very angry, very wet little brown mole-like animal who's making very annoyed noises at Simon.]

Ah...uh. Yeah, I think so.

Do you need any help?

[She reaches her hand out toward him.]

I'm good, I think, but thanks.

[Despite the awkward situation, he's rather polite about declining the offer, and with some effort, Simon hauls himself out of the water, then flops over on the concrete with a groan. He shuffles his long coat off, leaving him mostly shirtless as he sits up with a huffed sigh of relief.]

...did not know the water would make that thing that heavy, wow.

[He takes a moment to shake the water out of hair, and by this point, the little brown animal has bounded up his arm and taken up residence on his shoulder. Once that's done, he glances around, then over at Nano.]

...am I in Hinoto-Ri again?

[Oh my, shirtless, scandal! Nano blushes and averts her eyes, not exactly used to seeing guys in that state of dress, even though there are plenty of them around. Once he gets around to that last question, though, that awkwardness is quickly forgotten.]

...Huh? Did you say again?

Yeah.

[Simon scratches his head a bit.]

At least, that's where I was the last time I had the weird dream with the butterfly-mask guy. There was a big to-do about fighting these guys that were attacking parts of the city after a group of important-looking people gave us a big introduction thing.

You mean the Anoli! When were you here last? Did you see them attack the tournament?

I'm not sure when it was - I wasn't here for very long. I don't remember any kind of tournament happening while I was here, I know that much - that, and I think all of us visitors, barring the guys in charge, were new to the place at the time.

Oh... that sounds like even before I arrived. You missed a lot of things.

[Simon stares for a moment, then sighs and shakes his head.]

Apparently so... I gotta wonder about the logic of calling me here to help if I'm just gonna disappear before more stuff goes down.

I don't think anyone can really control who shows up or leaves or when.

[There's a huff, and Simon slumps over.]

Well, that's frustrating, but I guess I'd better start making use of my time while I'm here.

[He perks up a bit, then holds a hand out for a handshake.]
