Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

[Now she just snickers to herself.] The 'I'm just here to watch' phrase could be taken the wrong way. But don't worry, I know what you mean.

Wha- [ Oh. Now he's properly embarrassed. ] No no no! I mean, I'm not even interested in anyone like that! I'd only watch Satou that way! [ And he digs his grave deeper.

And people wonder why he has no friends. ]

[Zoe stop laughing at him, that's mean.] I see, I see! So, Satou is both your friend and the one you like?

O-of course! I haven't said otherwise, have I? [ Wait ] How did you figure that out?

You saying 'I'd only watch Satou that way' might have given it away.

I said that- [ He may be about to freak out again, but finally some common sense kicks in. Mikale tries to exhale calmly and takes a long sip of his drink. Come on, play it cool. Think of Satou or Vinita. ] ... Yeah, w-well. Point still stands. I'm just here wat--- enjoying the atmosphere. And I wouldn't treat Kitten indecently!

[papillonmagique]

I know you wouldn't. [Just going to keep on smiling, but her tone is genuine instead of teasing now.] But if that's the case, would you mind if I stayed here with you for a while? I'm a bit tired after swimming around the pool a few times.

[shadowsher]

[ He is honestly relieved to have endured more teasing. +1 Mikale. +1 zillion to Zoe, probably. But that's a whole other story. ]

Yeah, sure. I could use the company for a bit... Don't want anyone getting the wrong idea. [ Because now that she's brought it up, he has probably been pretty creepy. Sittin all alone and just... watching strangers. ]

Hehe, yes, you wouldn't want that. [She leans against the snack bar, taking a moment to think over what she could get, before turning her attention back to him.] ... So, have you been able to awaken your Persona yet?

[ He's about to offer to buy her a drink when she brings up the Persona again. Mikale sighs and shakes his head. ]

No, not really. I've been thinking about it. Just don't know how to go about it yet.

I've been hearing that the best way is to call for it's aid during a fight. That's how I first awakened mine, at least.

It makes sense, but... My first instinct in a fight isn't a Persona or anything...

[papillonmagique]

Yes, I can understand that feeling. I'll admit, I only thought to call for the aid of mine when I was cornered.

[shadowsher]

You got cornered? [ Now he's worried about her again. ] Good thing it came...

[papillonmagique]

I overestimated myself, the monsters were weak but were also great in number. And luckily there were also others around to help me out as well, so I was in no real danger.

[shadowsher]

They come in groups, huh? That sounds troublesome...

But I guess I'll have to give it a try eventually. Everyone so far has said their persona is really helpful.

[papillonmagique]

Judas and I tend to go out during the 13th Hour to fight some of the monsters, so you could come along if you wish. That way when there's a fight, you can focus more on bringing your Persona out.

[shadowsher]

Well... Are you sure? It might be troublesome if I can't get it to show up right away...

[papillonmagique]

Yes, I am sure. And it's all right if it takes a little while, Judas and I can help you out with advice and such if you have trouble.

[shadowsher]

That could be useful... [ Because admittedly, he's not sure how quickly he'll figure out this persona thing. ] I'll... make you lunch or something, to make up for the trouble.

It's no trouble at all. Friends help each other out, right?

I didn't mean to imply that they don't... So think of it as me helping you guys out too. Free meals are never bad, right?

... Well, no. But you don't have to do that Mikale, I would be happy to help you out.

[shadowsher]

[ The idea of getting help for nothing in return is still strange to him. He looks down at his half finished drink and stirs the remaining ice. ]
