Summary: We have a pool now!  Summer fun for everyone!

[It's summer, and what would summer be without a pool?  Well, thankfully for the good citizens and Visitors of Hinoto-Ri, the public pool is finally open for business!  With three different pools, a snack bar, and plenty of space on the grass for playing frisbee or just laying out to get some sun, there's plenty of summertime fun for everyone!  There are also a number of pool toys to use, ranging from basketball hoops and plastic balls, water noodles, boogie boards, and just about anything else you can think of.]

[Blink, blink. And then she chuckles quietly.] Of course not. Though I'll admit this is the first time I've met someone with that profession. Anyone who studied demons back home tended to be... Loners, in a sense, since it was dangerous work.

Well, there aren't that many of us. Too many members and an organization like that isn't much of a secret anymore, is it?

[And that gets some laughter from her.] Well, no, I suppose not. But then if your organisation is secret, does this mean that the knowledge of demons isn't commonplace where you're from?

It's well-known now, but it wasn't always like that.

What prompted the change?

A very public invasion of Japan.

[papillonmagique]

A public inva- [She cringes slightly.] Did... Japan hold something they wanted, then?

You're already mistaken in assuming it was the demons themselves who were invading. On the contrary, they were what we used to fight back.

Huh... So who were the invaders?

A series of powerful entities known as the Septentriones, named after the stars in the Big Dipper.

Well, that is different. What did these Septentriones want?

Most of the specifics are classified, but suffice it to say it would have resulted in the extermination of the human race.

... Oh my. Then it was a good thing you had the demons. Did you simply wipe out any Septentriones that was came across, or was there some sort of leader that needed to be dealt with?

Both, really.

... Before I keep being curious, how much of the information about these Septentriones is classified?

Most of it, which is why I have to be so cagey. I won't be able to tell you much more than I already have, and that's only because we're currently in a world where, to the best of my knowledge, they don't exist anyway.
